Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog- Anything Goes

Hello Crafty Friends

We are one month closer to Christmas and one more card done.  I love Christmas, so Christmas cards are so much fun to create, I created a simple card this month.

The card panel is a foil-it from Taylored Expressions with a matching stencil.  I created the image with Gold foil and then stenciled with Spearmint, Cherry Pop and Cilantro.

To finish the card I added some small gold pearls to the little dots in the image.

Clean and simple, yet striking.

Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog- Anything Goes

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a card I created using some products from Pink Fresh Studios.

The envelope is a die, which I cut out and then stenciled the outline detail with red ink.

I then stamped the gifts and greenery stamps with black ink and stenciled them with the stencil set.  I then die cut them out and created this arrangement with the images.

I stamped and die cut the sentiment and popped it up on the envelope.

I finished the card by adding the envelope to a piece of pine needle paper from my stash.

I also created a "green" one too.

Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog

Hello crafty friends

New month and less than 6 months till Christmas.  How are you doing on being ready with your Christmas cards?  I am still very much behind, but I wanted to share a card I created recently.

Here is the card created.  I used mostly supplies and product from Lawn Fawn.

The card base is a piece of light blue cardstock from my stash and some pearly cardstock from my stash as well.

I then die cut the birdhouse pieces from the Build a Birdhouse die set from Lawn Fawn and the window from the Winter Wonderland Window die set from Lawn Fawn.  I colored the Christmas lights red and green with the Ohuhu markers.

I then colored the birds from the Winter Birds stamp set from Lawn Fawn using my Ohuhu markers.

To finish the card I stamped the sentiment from the Winter Birds set with Black ink on white card stock and added it to the card.

One more card completed.  Please leave me a comment and then share with us a new Christmas card you have created at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog

Mix it Up Challenge Blog- with a veggie stamping twist

Hello Crafty Friends,

This month's challenge over at the Mix it Up Challenge Blog was a new one for me. I have never tried stamping with a vegetable.  Unfortunately, I only had baby carrots in my refrigerator, so that is what I used,

I started out with a white piece of cardstock.  I then blended three colors from Taylored Expression inks: Blueberry, Cotton Candy and Gumball.

I then used Versafine Clair and the three different sizes and colors of carrots to create the polka dots on the background.

After I made the background, here is the card I created.

I stamped the sentiment from Photo Play on white cardstock and cut the end into a point.  I then die cute the word awesome form the same set using black and white cardstock.   To finish the card, I matted the card front to a piece of black cardstock.

I think I see more vegetable stamping in my future.  This is definitely a technique I want to t5y again and see what backgrounds I can create.

Now it is your turn.  Please leave me a comment and then create a card and try veggie stamping and then share your creation at Mix it Up Challenge Blog

Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog

Hello Crafty Friends,

New month and a new Christmas card to share.  I created this card for a swap I was a part of and ended up making 12 of these.  Lots of work, but so worth it.

This card was created with the Spellbinders "Winter Label Motif" die set.  I cut each piece out using paper in my stash and layered them up.

The card base was created using an embossing folder from Stampin Up.  I then used some teal paper and a white grosgrain ribbon to create the bow.

Not a lot of instructions, but a stunning card if I might say.

Now, it is your turn, create a Christmas card and join us for the challenge at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog.  Also, don't forget to leave me a comment.

Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog- Anything Christmas

Hello Crafty Friends,

It is hard to believe that we are upon a new year.  This past Christmas I attended a retreat where the theme was gingerbreads.  I created this card using dies from Doodlebug,

To add some depth, I cut out a frame with a die from Taylored Expressions and a piece of Doodlebug's Gingerbread Kisses line of pattern paper.

I dies cut and sponged the sides of the gingerbread and tree cookies to give them some depth.  I also added some pink ink to Santa's cheeks.

I know Christmas just past, but to be ready for next year, start working on your Christmas cards now and share them with us over at the Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog

Then please leave me a comment.

Mix It Up Challenge Blog- optional Mixed Media

Hello Crafty Friends,

Happy New Year! A new year is upon us and makes me think about all the things I want to learn in the new year. Our challenge this month is one I would love to learn more about- mixed media. Here is the card I created to get my feet wet.

I saw this card on a video from Taylored Expressions and thought I would try it. I loved the colors, which drew me to the card.

I first stamped the Winter Village image and stamped it on the white cardstock with Clear Versamark.  I then used white embossing powder to heat emboss the image.

Then I took my blender brushes and two different blue inks and created the background.

To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Merriest Christmas stamp set with the darkest blue ink.  I then splattered white paint and some glitter to create the stars.

Mix it Up Challenge Blog with a Twist- Create your own background

Hello Crafty Friends,

New month means new challenge st Mix it Up Challenge blog.  This month the challenge is anything goes, with a twist- create your own background.

I knew exactly what I was going to do.  My favorite fruit in summer is Strawberries!  This super cute stencil was a freebie from Taylored Expressions and I couldn't wait to ink it up!

I used 2 red colors and 1 green color of stamp pad I have on hand.  I placed each stencil down and blended the color with my blender brushes.  After I was done blending, I used the A2 Lacy Layers Die set from Waffle Flower to cut the scalloped edging on the panel.
I used black ink to stamp the "seeds" on the strawberries and the sentiment.  I used the same scallop die set to cut the sentiment piece.
I adhered everything together on the card base and to finish the card, I added the black twine bow,

Now it is your turn.  Create a card background and share it with us at Mix It Up Challenge Blog.  Thank you for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Have fun
