Angie's Digital Stamps Challenge with a New Year Twist

 Hello Crafty Friends,

We have a new challenge at Angie's Digital Stamps Challenge Blog with a New Years Twist.  I knew which image I wanted to work with and had the card in my head before I even picked out this image: Open Book.

I created the base of the card with Whip Cream Cardstock, Black Licorice Pearled Basics Cardstock and Through the Year Pattern paper, all from Fun Stampers Journey.

I colored the image with my Copics:

Pages: E00, E000

Book: 100, C9

Bookmark: Y28

I then typed out the sentiment on my computer and printed it out.  I cut the paper and matter it with more of the Black Licorice Pearled Basics card stock.

To finish the card I added a White Organza ribbon bow and tied in a few strips of gold sequins into the bow.  I then added a few rhinestones to the card face.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Bitten By the Bug- Tick Tock Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today is a great day!   I am excited to announce that I have been accepted to be a part of the Bitten by the Bug 2 Design Team.  I am so excited to a part of this group of talented ladies.  We have some great themes scheduled for this year, all using your Cricut.

I am so excited to share my first project with you.

I used some pattern paper from my stash to create the background.   I then cut the clock from Miss Kate's Cuttables with my Cricut.

I also made this card into an easel card.

Here is a look at the side of the card:

I added the "celebrate" sticker from my stash.
I then stamped the sentiment, Happy New Year! from the Cheers stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey with Black Licorice ink.

I am excited to share with you my Cricut projects in the coming year.  Make sure you are following me, so you do not miss anything.

Thank you for stopping by.  Please leave me comments.  I love to read everyone's thoughts.

Sparkle and Shine

Hello Crafty Friends,
Can you believe that today is the last day of 2017?  Where did the year go?  I have a card to share with you today that reminds me of the colors and things you see on New Years Eve.

To create the glitter stars in the opposite corners, I die cut White Liner sheets with the Star-Dom die.  I then pealed back one side of the adhesive and adhered it to the cardbase.  I then pealed off the top piece and then rubbed some Journey Sparkle Dust over the cutout.  A fun technique.

I hope that whatever you are doing tonight, that you are safe and ready to bring in 2018!

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Holiday Sparkle
Paper: Black Licorice Cardstock, Whip Cream Cardstock, Mirror Gold paper, White Liner sheets
Ink: Black Licorice

Happy New Year 2017!

Happy New Year!  With the new year here, I always look forward to making new goals and planning on meeting them.   It always feels like I have a clean slate and can accomplish anything.
For me, I am not able to keep resolutions.  A few years ago I was introduced to the "One Word 365" challenge and accountability.  I find this to be more successful for me.
So for 2017, I have chosen the word LEARN for the year.

Image result for learn

I have some great things to learn about in the coming year.  I have some areas of growth that I need to focus on and so I am going to LEARN more this year.
Now to celebrate the new year, I want to share a card I created.

Happy 2017!

So, let me share with you my card first.
I used Black Licorice Cardstock as the base of my card.  I then cut a layer of Whip Cream Cardstock and stamped randomly the stamps from the Countdown stamp set with Black Licorice ink.
Next, I cut a layer of Vellum Designer Prints with silver stars and added it to the top of the card.
I then die cut a Create-a-bow Mini from Journey Brush Silver Cardstock and adhered it to the card with hot glue.
To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Countdown set with Black Licorice ink on Whip Cream Cardstock, cut the banner end and adhered it to the card.

Now for the project.
I started by creating the tag, by tracing the medium sized Banner Parade die cut on one side onto Black Specialty Pearled Paper and cut out.  I then traced the inside of the same die on White Specialty Pearled Paper.  I then die cut the next side down Banner Parade from the the White Specialty Pearled Paper.  I took this piece and adhered it to the base with foam squares.
I then die cut the same Create-a-bow Mini from Journey Brush Silver cardstock and adhered the bow to the base with hot glue.
To finish the tag, I added 3 Celebration Buttons to the front, stamped the same sentiment as above from the Countdown stamp set on Whip Cream Cardstock with Black Licorice ink.

Thank you for stopping by.  Don't forget to comment here using the #SFDecHop to be entered into the mystery giveaway.
