“Makes No Sense”

“In a three-sentence order, the court said Texas has no legal standing to sue another state on these grounds…”

Thus we acknowledge that we’ve landed at the bottom of the rabbit hole.

down the rabbit hole | Fantasy landscape, Concept art, Fantasy art

And the only thing here is a looking glass, through which we reluctantly slip, having no other choice. It leads us to a rigged chess game where all the pawns are kept busy battling each other while the bishops, rooks, knights and royals go about their respective business of collecting all the chits and building up their war chests.

The normal rules of the game don’t apply. In fact, cheating is not simply condoned, it’s rewarded: handsomely.

And you dare not question the rules…because SCIENCE!

Just accept it: it makes no sense.

COVID-19: A Public Service Announcement

Essential Facts About Covid-19 - This is a long article but ought to be read in totality as it confirms what many of us have suspected all along: we are being played. Big time, by big players.

Fear, desperation, anger and stress: The emotions of undocumented migrants during COVID-19 pandemic | Discover Society

A brief synopsis:

  • the average death rate for people who contract Covid-19 is well below 1% and is much closer to that of the seasonal flu than figures that were commonly reported by the press. (ed. and yet there has never been anything close to a “lockdown” for any type of seasonal flu outbreaks)
  • the average years of life lost from each Covid-19 death are significantly fewer than from common causes of untimely death like accidents and suicides.
  • the virus that causes Covid-19 is “very vulnerable to antibody neutralization” and has very limited ability to mutate, which make it unlikely to take masses of lives year after year like the flu and other recurring scourges.
  • if 500,000 Covid-19 deaths ultimately occur in the United States—or more than twice the level of a prominent projection—the disease will rob about 6.8 million years of life from all Americans who were alive at the outset of 2020. In contrast:
    • the flu will rob them of about 35 million years.
    • suicides will rob them of 132 million years.
    • accidents will rob them of 409 million years.

Irrationally anyway…

The article also notes that the amount of disinformation about this disease is legion with mal-informed stories perpetrated by media outlets turning the truth of this matter on its head by confusing the general nature of coronaviruses with that of Covid-19.

Coronaviruses are a family of RNA viruses that includes some common cold viruses that tend to mutate rapidly, but the virus that causes C-19 does not share that trait. Per the same molecular biology paper cited above, the virus that causes C-19 “does not mutate rapidly for an RNA virus because, unusually for this category, it has a proof-reading function” in its genetics. The paper also explains that the same physical feature of the virus that makes it so contagious also makes it:

very vulnerable to antibody neutralization, and thus it is a relatively easy virus to protect against…

Simply put, the virus that causes C-19 is immunologically fragile, and thus, it [is] far less likely to take lives regardless of acquired immunity and vaccines. If this proves true in the long run—as all available evidence suggests it will—the lifetime risk of dying from Covid-19 is greatly overstated by comparing its current death toll to yearly fatalities from the flu, accidents, suicides, and other common causes of death. This is because the vast bulk of people will develop immunity to C-19 either by catching it or through vaccines. In vivid contrast, societies don’t become immune to accidents, the flu, or heart disease.

Yet the WHO and the media subsequently mislead us on this rather key issue:

All of the above facts about immunology in general and C-19 in particular were published in medical journals, textbooks, or encyclopedias near the outset of the pandemic in March 2020 or earlier. Yet, the World Health Organization sowed confusion around this issue by publishing a scientific brief and a tweet on April 24th that stated: “There is currently no evidence that people who have recovered from #COVID19 and have antibodies are protected from a second infection.”

Many media outlets parroted that claim, even though the World Health Organization deleted its tweet later that day and wrote: “Earlier today we tweeted about a new WHO scientific brief on ‘immunity passports’. The thread caused some concern & we would like to clarify: We expect that most people who are infected with #COVID19 will develop an antibody response that will provide some level of protection.”

That clarification was closer to the truth but still misleading because it ignored the three  key facts above that were already proven by that time:

  1. The virus that causes C-19 has low mutational capacity.
  2. The virus that causes C-19 is very vulnerable to antibody neutralization.
  3. Viruses with these attributes are easy to protect against because vaccines and acquired immunity commonly provide long-lasting immunity against them.

The result? Worldwide panic, lockdowns, economic calamity. It continues to this day with additional lockdowns amid reports that “ICUs are near capacity” around the country. Of course ICUs are near capacity, as they are during every bad flu season; that’s what they are designed for.

I’m telling you people, it’s time to stop bitching about this and grab the torches and pitchforks.

If you are among the most vulnerable among us please take whatever lockdown precautions are necessary to keep you safe, as you should every year to protect against the flu. But the rest of the country needs to reopen the churches, the schools, the businesses and get back to work.

We Will Not Comply

Crossing the Rubicon: Alea Iacta Est

Take the high road, take the low
Take any one you're on
I poured the cup, I passed it along
And I crossed the Rubicon

It’s probably nothing really, just a roar from the belly of the beast.

Or, alternatively, it may be the metaphorical crossing of the Rubicon - a move you may recall that started a 5 year civil war and effectively marked the end of the Roman Republic and the beginning of the Roman Empire. I wouldn’t read too much into it though as it is but a metaphor. And a republic that permits electoral fraud and cheating in order win an election and seize power has lost its way as a republic anyway.

I don’t portend to know what any of this means, nobody caught in the middle of historic times ever does for certain.

So instead I offer you a little musical interlude from an amazing American wordsmith.

I feel the holy spirit inside
See the light that freedom gives
I believe it's in the reach of
Every man who lives
Keep as far away as possible
It's darkest 'fore the dawn (oh, Lord)
I turned the key, I broke it off
And I crossed the Rubicon

Mornin' baby, I used to look my mind
I truly believe that you are
Couldn't be anybody else but you
Who's come with me this far
The killing frost is on the ground
And the autumn leaves are gone
I lit the torch, I looked to the east
And I crossed the Rubicon

Our Long Dystopian Nightmare of Suspended Animation

Is it just me or does anyone else feel themselves in a state of suspended animation?

Like in Sleeper where Miles Monroe, the amateur clarinetist and fulltime neurotic, wakes up in the 22nd century from a 200-year bout of suspended animation to discover America has turned into a totalitarian police state. Hijinks ensue.

Miles: What kind of government you guys got here? This is worse than California!

The majority of society is comprised of conformists who look to The Leader for direction and guidance. But a band of underground anti-government radicals resuscitate Miles in hopes that – because he doesn’t exist as far as the regime's new bio-surveillance technology is concerned – he can infiltrate the government Aires project and foment revolution.

That’s a lot to ask of an apolitical, self-involved, nebbish, former health food store owner who doesn’t believe in anything other than sex and death.

Not politics:

Miles Monroe: Political solutions don't work. I told you that. It doesn't matter who's up there. They're all terrible.

Or science:

Mae's Food Blog: Woody Allen's Robot Makes PuddingMiles: I don't believe in science. I'm - you know, science is an intellectual dead end, you know? It's a lot of little guys in tweed suits cutting up frogs on foundation grants.

Or God:

Miles Monroe : Do you believe in God?

Luna Schlosser : Well, I believe that - that there's somebody out there who watches over us.

Miles Monroe : Unfortunately, it's the government.

Miles Monroe: This is what I call a cosmic screwing!

So please God, can we see some action from the Supreme Court soon on all of this election fraud? I would really like this dystopian nightmare of suspended animation to come to an end one way or another.

Prove Me Wrong

My top five incontrovertible truths of the 21st century…so far:

1. 9/11 was NOT an “inside” job regardless of what Rosie the physicist thinks.

2. Prior to COVID-19 lockdowns anthropogenic global warming was the biggest hoax of the century (bonus points for explaining - if I may deploy a liberal semantic - their ‘intersectionality’).

Michael Mann’s completely discredited (debunked) hockey stick graph “proving” global warming

Scientists admit global warming is a hoax - CSMonitor.com

3. China purposefully unleashed the Wuhan murder virus on the world (again, bonus points for ‘intersectionality’ interpretations and extrapolations).

4.  The 2020 presidential election ‘results’ are based on fraud (need I remind you of the bonus points?).

5. Epstein didn’t kill himself.

An inconvenient loose end that needed to be “tied up” in order to advance the ‘intersectionality’

Michigan: At Least We’re Not New York/California (yet) Edition

But with this dynamic team leading us, we won’t be far behind:

Trump battles with Michigan's female Democratic leaders in key 2020 swing state - CNNPoliticsGovernor Gretchen’s Gals: AG Dana Nessel far left, GG and SoS Jocelyn Benson

They’re all making news this week: the Gov as she’s expected to extend the state lockdown - which includes restaurant and bar closures - through Christmas as the current ban expires tomorrow.

Michigan Attorney General Nessel for signaling a return of the War on Christmas in Joe Biden’s America in an ill-advised tweet (since deleted).

Women help Democrats take back key offices in Michigan | Elections | theoaklandpress.comAG Nessel and wifey

In a now-deleted tweet, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel signaled the return of the War on Christmas after a store worker dared to tell her son, “Merry Christmas,” instead of the Joe Biden-approved slogan, “Happy Holidays.”

“I remember the first time I was at a store with my son and an employee said “Merry Christmas” to us. My son looked devastated as asked “Are we the only people who don’t celebrate Christmas?” I answered “No, and we are just as American as everyone else.”

According to Wikipedia – and they should know - Dana is the first openly LGBTQ person elected to statewide office in Michigan, and  also the first Jew (who objects to being wished a Merry Christmas) elected Attorney General of Michigan.

It makes me want to go bake her some Christmas cookies.

Amy Thornton: The Grinch cookie assortment. Christmas. | Christmas cookies decorated, Christmas cookies grinch, Grinch cookies

And our Secretary of State was also in the news as a few dozen protestors showed up at the house of Wretched Gretchen’s third female honcho, Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, to protest the state’s refusal to look into the obvious-to-anybody-who-looks voter fraud. She apparently doesn’t appreciate the intimidation tactics her side practically invented.

"I have always been an energetic advocate for the right and importance of peaceful protest as enshrined in the United States Constitution, however there is a line crossed when gatherings are done with the primary purpose of intimidation of public officials who are carrying out the oath of office they solemnly took as elected officials," Benson said in a statement Sunday night.

She went on to accuse all of us who question the fraudulent election results conspiracy theorists.

"Through blatantly false press releases, purely political legislative hearings, bogus legal claims and so called 'affidavits' that fail to allege any clear or cogent evidence of wrongdoing, those unhappy with the results of this election have perpetuated an unprecedented, dangerous, egregious campaign to erode the public’s confidence in the results of one of the most secure, accessible and transparent elections in our state’s history.

Decorated Grinch Cookies - The Sweet Adventures of Sugar BelleMerry Effing Xmas to you too Jocelyn

Because flipped votes and more ballots than registered voters means nothing.

Meanwhile thanks to one fair-minded judge the forensic check on the Dominion machines that flipped 6000 votes from Trump to Biden in one of Michigan’s reddest of red counties continues. It’s unclear if the machines have since been tampered with but we shall see.

And finally,  I flipped the local news on very early this morning to catch the weather (cold and gray, again) and see that all anyone in Michigan is concerned with right now is the fact that Rudy Giuliani testified in Lansing last week without a mask and *gasp* exposed sooooo many people to the cooties! That’s a much bigger story than voter fraud don’t you know.

UPDATED TO ADD THIS FROM THE WAPO, which headlined it Armed protesters alleging voter fraud surrounded the home of Michigan’s secretary of state. I can’t confirm the “armed” part although I’m sure they were not brandishing or local news would be reporting that. I do know they did not “surround” her house as they were all out front. Of course words don’t mean anything anymore, they’re simply there to elicit emotional response so it doesn’t matter if any of this is factually correct.

I did enjoy this little gem however:

“They shouted baseless conspiracy theories about the election, and in videos uploaded to social media, at least one individual could be heard shouting ‘you’re murderers’ within earshot of her child’s bedroom,” Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel (D) and Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy (D) said in a joint statement on Sunday. “This mob-like behavior is an affront to basic morality and decency.”

Good grief. Peaceful, if loud, protesting is mob-like behavior but burning, breaking and stealing is not.

Our Betters Are Better Because, Well, They’re Better

How Democrats define themselves, AOC edition:

Ocasio-Cortez: Federal tipped minimum wage of $2.13 is “indentured servitude.”OMG don’t ask me to do anything else! Can’t you see I’ve got my hands full!?

Arguably she hasn’t even started her “adult life” yet but that doesn’t stop her from whining on:

"Republicans like to make fun of the fact that I used to be a waitress, but we all know if they ever had to do a double they'd be the ones found crying in the walk-in fridge halfway through their first shift bc someone yelled at them for bringing seltzer when they wanted sparkling."

I guess working a double shift tending to the drinking needs of others makes her a hero of sorts, at least in her own mind. Others seem to have taken umbrage with her asinine tweet. They cited their own hard jobs  – from chimney sweep to farm hand to combat soldier – that might rival her own brave days of hiding out in the walk-in cooler after dodging flying wine corks and harsh words from unhappy customers.

“Between working my family’s hog farm, construction jobs with my dad, and the biscuit line at Hardee’s — not to mention running convoys in a combat zone — I can promise you this conservative Senator knows exactly what it’s like to work a physically demanding job.” – Joni Earnst

Ryan Saavedra may have summed it up best:

Myself, I’m just impressed with how quickly she was capable of acquiring all the requisite skills required of a Congressional Rep these days:

complete hypocrisy, unbridled self-absorption and promotion. Oh, and of course the most important skill set of all: how to make a buck on the side from the very capitalistic system you seek to destroy.
