Horror Host Hall of Fame 2012

Since 2010, The Horror Host Hall of Fame have been inducting 13 hosts in the hall every year. The 2012 inductees are Elvira, Dr. Cadavarino, Bob Wilkins, The Host, Chilly Billy, Stella, Joe Bob Briggs, Dr. Paul Bearer, Mr. Mephisto, Crematia Mortem, Big Chuck, Little John, and Fritz the Night Owl. Elvira On TV's Bloopers & Practical Jokes

On October 10, 1985, Elvira made her second appearance on TV's Bloopers & Practical Jokes where she showed Dick Clark and Ed McMahon bloopers from her show and an clips from other hosts from all over the country. The hosts featured included Sammy Terry, Count Scary, Macabra, Zacherle, Darcinia, Count Gregore, Spookman Dan, Chilly Billy, Melvin Clumpton, Elroy "Buzz" Towers, Crematia Mortem, Big Chuck & Little John, Lucretia, and Svengoolie. Episode 117 of The Basement Sublet of Horror is The Horror Host Special . It features the story of how The Basement Sublet of Horror came to be, including many rare clips, behind the scenes footage, and bloopers. Also presented are interviews with the creator and other cast and crew members. The remaining parts of the show have interviews with other Kansas horror hosts. A current interview with Crematia Mortem delves into the background of her show and she reveals some fun stories and anecdotes. A vintage 1986 interview with Tom Leahy, who played The Host with Rodney on Nightmare , includes rare footage of him during the show's run. This is a great show with a lot of background information on all the hosts and first-hand stories that give a good idea of what the shows were like to create.
