The great pumpkin

Happy Monday folks! Three weeks till Halloween. Time to get started on your cards Pumpkin!!!

Today starts a new challenge at Inky Paws! We are looking for weener cards! So pull out those spooky Newton's Nook stamps, stencils, and dies and have some fun!

My card today uses my favorite die set from Newton's Nook- "Speech Bubbles". I die cut the big speech bubble and stenciled just the faces from the "Jack-o-Lantern" stencil set. From the same set, I stenciled just a row of the pumpkins. The sentiment is from Newton's Boo-tiful Night.

No intro needed!

Hey there pumpkin

I just love making Halloween cards, I think I have mentioned this a time or two before. LOL!!  The colors for the challenge at Inky Paws were perfect for a weener card.

There is still time to play along at Inky Paws for our fallish color challenge. Orange, lime green, black, and cream. We haven't had much action for this challenge and I don't understand. These are great colors. So much can be done with them.

Today's card features the following product from Newton's Nook. The flying bat stenciled embossed on the back card stock, the jack-o-lantern stencil, a great new layering stencil from NN, and lastly "Newton's Perfect Pumpkin" stamp set.

Today's musical inspiration is called "A summer song" but really it's about the end of summer and fall starting. Perfect for this time of year.

You have one more week for our color challenge at Inky Paws.  We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20.00 Newton's Nook store gift certificate. Our favorite entries from each challenge will be highlighted the following Monday, so all entries have a chance to be featured on the blog.

Give thanks

Good morning all! It's time for another challenge at Inky Paws. The weather inspired this fall card. It's cooler here and the leaves are started to change and the light in general is more muted. Bring on the sweaters and long pants!

The design team at Inky Paws is asking you to create a card based on this sketch. You have quite a bit of room for interpreting this sketch. I went rather literally.

My card today uses the stencil from Newton's Nook- "Pumpkin Patch" and the sentiment is from NN's "Fall Roundabout" stamp set

I hope you join us for our sketch challenge at Inky Paws! You have two weeks to play along at Inky Paws!  We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20.00 Newton's Nook store gift certificate. Good morning everyone! It's a bright and sunny Monday! There is still a few days left to play along with the holiday mix-up challenge over at Inky Paws.
Today's card quick and easy if you need a fast card to send to your favorite ghost, witch or little goblin. I just die-cut a bunch of pumpkin faces from Newton's Nook's "Pick a pumpkin". I stamped "eek" from Newton's Nook's"Newton's perfect pumpkin". I layered this piece on top of glitter paper. The glitter paper was white and I colored it orange with my copic markers.

Autumn Mice

Happy Monday everyone! Time for a reminder about the fall color challenge at Inky Paws.

I got a little carried away with the oranges on this moss green, orange, chocolate brown, and ivory color challenge! But hey, this card makes me smile. It's bright and happy.

I used Newton's Nook's "Fall Fringe", "Autumn Mice" and the square dies. The "fringe" stamps from Newton's Nook are so much fun to play with. Here is the spring set. For this card, I didn't have the correct shade of green to use so I colored the base with copics to match my card. See this post.

House of Cards November Technique Challenge

Hi everyone! It's November and that means a new challenge at House of Cards!! Mynn has shared a very cool video on a stamped and cut window technique

I am known for always stretching- who am I kidding!!-  I mean breaking the rules a bit. So I had to come up with a bit of a twist on the challenge. So I did a double cut and stamped window. I wonder how many cut and stamped windows could you create? Could it be like looking in two mirrors? it goes on for infinity?!!?

If you read yesterday's blog posting you know that my new fav stamp company is Reverse Confetti. I used the Pumpkin Patch set again for my challenge card.

I made my card with two background, the stripes:

I just wasn't sure so I tried it with a woodgrain background:

I was torn, but the stripes just keep whispering a wee bit louder. What do you think- stripes or woodgrain?

Please join us at House of Cards this month for this way fun and cool technique!
