New job

It's week 2 at Cupcake Inspirations. We are having an "Anything Goes" challenge. Always a fan favorite and you guys have been up to the challenge. So many of you have joined the fun. There is still time to enter!

My card today was another card that I made for my boss, who resigned for a big promotion at a different health system. I was happy for him, but sad to see him leave.

This card might look complicated, but it really wasn't. I stamped a bunch of shamrocks all over a piece of card stock and colored them with copic markers. I then just die cut the word job. The rest is pretty self explanatory.

You all have one more week to decorate those naked cupcakes and show us your creations at Cupcake Inspirations.

Love birds

Yet another Valentine card to share with you. Something old, some new, and something.... mauve? Today starts a new color challenge at The Rainbow Card Challenge.

We are asking to use "mostly mauve". Mauve is a hard color to figure out. It's a pale purpley color. Looks more pinkish rose to me.

For my card today I used the "Heart Sprinkle" die by Simon Says Stamp, and the "Love Birds" By Wplus9. (no longer available)

I didn't even bother to look for songs with mauve in the title, if we cant figure out exactly what color it is, we really can't write a song about it huh? So today's musical inspiration is one of my top 10 most romantic songs out there.

A Thousand Years by Christine Perri

You have all month to play along with our intriguing mauve challenge at The Rainbow Card Challenge. And I would love to know what your favorite love song is?

Today's card I just went though my stash for dies and embossing folders that I thought would work. I encourage you to do the same.

I decided today to supply a bit of musical inspiration, Even though I do not listen to Christmas music after the 25th, I will make an exception to inspire you all!

You have two weeks to play along with us at Christmas 24! Let's see your best white creations!

Flowery holidays

Christmas cards on 80 something degree days!! Something seems wrong with this picture. Not if you want to get a head start on your holiday cards. I do not have many floral Christmas stamps, so when I saw this Simon Says Stamp Stamptember collaboration with Gina K, I knew I had to buy this set. It is a perfect image to color in.

Today's challenge at Christmas 24 is:

A perfect opportunity to get this new stamp set inky. To color in my poinsettia, I used my Zig clean color brushes.

I embossed the image in gold to add elegance to this CAS card.

You have two weeks to get Christmas flower stamps ink and to play along with us at Christmas 24!!

Hi friend!

Finally season appropriate weather. We had a warm winter and a cold spring, but today we are looking at temps in the 80s!! To bad I have to work.

Today is a new challenge at CAS on Friday. We are asking you to use a

DIE

For me this was a no brainer. I had this word die I have been wanting to use and the tulip stencil from Simon Says Stamp. I have wanted to try this technique which I am sure came from Jennifer Maguire. Stars in alignment. A beautiful thing.

I sent this card to my bestie. I have not seen her for several weeks do to that nasty virus. ni wanted her to know how much I miss her.

Time to riffle through your dies and make a your CAS card and share it with us at  CAS on Friday    You have two weeks to play along. Please make sure your card is CAS (see the rules if you are not sure) or you will not be considered for the top prize or a top three spot.

Our winner will be the guest designer for the next challenge at CAS on Friday!!

Bloom

May day!! Perfect day for featuring beautiful flowering cards!! That is the theme for our new challenge at CAS on Friday.

I have a million flower stamps and they all seem to be my favorite at one time or another. Today's card uses a set from Winnie and Walter- "In Bloom: Eva's Favorite Flowers". I do not think Winnie and Walter is in business anymore, that is the beauty of stamping. I betcha all of you have at least one stamp set that could be used in the same way as I did.

Take time out of your May planting and head over to CAS on Friday  and to create a flowering card to inspire your garden. You have two weeks to play along. Please make sure your card is CAS (see the rules if you are not sure) or you will not be considered for the top prize or a top three spot.

Our winner will be the guest designer for the next challenge at CAS on Friday!!

Sympathy for the world

Happy April! I usually come up with a good fool's joke, but no one really feels like joking now. I think we all just want the world to return to normal. But what will our new normal look like? I am a hugger, I shake hands to determine someone's merit during a job interview. Will I be able to return to that? Or will we always maintain a certain distance socially as well as emotionally?

When I made this card, the world hadn't gone topsy-turvey. Posting it now is like sending a sympathy card for all of us. We all have suffered some kind of loss with this madness. A loss as even as simple as not being able to hug some one in need.

Today is a new challenge at The Rainbow Card Challenge. The color this month is tiffany. That lovely soothing blue-green, aqua type color. It s a peaceful color, perfect for a sympathy card.

My very clean and simple card uses the "mum flower frame" from Simon Says Stamp. I added the banner sentiment and a few Neuvo Drops and this card was complete.

I hope this month's music inspiration has you chuckling like I was. There are really no songs with "tiffany" in the title, but I did come across this one. It's all about Tiffany!

You have all month to play along with our tiffany color challenge at The Rainbow Card Challenge.
