Hi Everyone!

The year continues to fly by

you cry.........

On the plus side nature has
bedecked the land in glorious
shades of red, green, yellow
and brown covered by
deep blue skies.........

Here is Claire Jackson's
canvas for October:

The rhyme is:

Fresh October brings the pheasant
Then to gather nuts is pleasant

Make of all that what you will and
upload your work via the link.  If
the link isn't working then do
email your project to me and I
will put it up for you

The link closes at 11:55pm on
22nd October

Look forward to visiting with

Twelve Month Challenge

Twelve Month Challenge

Happy Sunday Everyone!

How are you?  We're all fine
here.  In fact, no change really
we have two days of hot summer
and a week of cooler, wetter,
windier weather but that's just
so we can keep up with the
chores!  Haha!

So time for the next verse in
our Twelve Month Challenge.  This
time the verse is:

Warm September brings the fruit
Sportsmen then begin to shoot

and this is what Claire Jackson
made of it:

So, let's see what you guys make
of it - I'm sure you're relieved to
see there are no flowers mentioned!

The reference to sportsmen shooting
is that the Grouse season starts on
what is termed in the UK as
The Glorious Twelth but that is
by the bye

Of course should you wish to picture a
shoot that is up to you

Look forward to seeing your pictures

As always, upload via the link and if
that isn't working please email them
to me at mickiecraftbarn@gmail.com

Closing date is 24th September at 23.55pm

'Till tomorrow

Mickie xx

Maggie and Raewyn have had to email
their entries to me and I am pleased to
put them both up.

Here's Maggie's:

and here's Raewyn's:
(regulars will know that
Raewyn always adds the
equivalent verse for her
side of the world so I'm
showing that too!)

Twelve Month Challenge

Twelve Month Challenge

Hallo Everyone!

It is the first Sunday of the month
and time for the latest challenge
using Sarah Coleridge's poem

This month's couplet is:

August brings the sheaves of corn,
Then the harvest home is borne.

Time was the fields would
be full of haystacks
but these have morphed
into cotton reels!

Or so it seems....!

Here is another
Claire Jackson
canvas to set the
creative juices flowing:

As always you can enter as
many times as you like via
the link.

If you can't use the link then
please email your project to
me at
mickiecraftbarn@gmail.com

Each entry must show
the verse and the challenge is
to include a tractor

You have three weeks in which
to enter and the link will close
at 11.55pm on 27th August

Have fun everyone and I look
forward to visiting with you.....

'Till tomorrow

Twelve Month Challenge

Twelve Month Challenge

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Was it a long lazy lie in today
or croissants in the garden with
honey and a big pot of coffee?

Always think there is something
nicely decadent about breakfast
in the garden...........

So, back to earth and on with the
Challenge!

Time for the next verse of
Sara Coleridge's poem:

Hot July brings cooling showers,
Apricots and gillyflowers.

and here is Claire Jackson's canvas
for July:

All you have to do is take your
inspiration from the poem to
make a card, journal page, postcard.
whatever takes your fancy and
include on it somewhere the
verse for July...........and
just for the fun of it a
gillyflower.

Then upload your project via
the link or if that isn't working
send it to me, along with your
blog link, at
mickiecraftbarn@gmail.com
and I will add it for you.

The link closes at midnight on
23rd July

Good luck and as always, I'm
looking forward to visiting!

'Till tomorrow

Twelve Month Challenge

Twelve Month Challenge

Hi there!

This month we have moved on
a day to Monday for the Month
Challenge.  Be assured it is for
this month only.

So what do we have in store?
'Tis the wind; the wicked wind....
The rhyme is:

March brings breezes loud and shrill
Stirs the dancing daffodil

Claire has provided us with
another of her beautiful inspiration
pieces:

The challenge for this month will be to
include a mad hare and I think a daffodil
would also be in order - see if you
could make it dance.  The image conjured
up by the phrase "dancing daffodils" has
always made me smile........

So, mad hares and dancing daffodils to be
included and the rhyme must also be shown
on your picture.

You have until midnight on
26th March to add your entries via the link.
You can enter as many times as you like.

As always if you are unable to use the link
then do email your project to me and I will
add it for you.

My email is mickiecraftbarn@gmail.com

So looking forward to visiting with you

'Til tomorrow
