Card Class - Butterfly

 Here is another card from the three card class that I did last week. I love this new butterfly punch!

Here is how I made the butterfly layered. I punched out a full Very Vanilla butterfly and another in Basic Black. I cut out the center of the black one and glued it to the back of the white one, just spaced out a little to show on the outer edges. I really like this effect!

Here is how I made the bow out of a little strip of embossed paper.

 I love this punch!

My First Card!

I am really back now! 
Here is the first card that I have done in aver three months! I am having a card class at my house tonight and this will be one of the cards we will do. A little sneak peak for them...

And... here are the measurements for the card!!
All of the edges of the card stock I roughed up, you can do this with the edge of the scissors.
Night of Navy: 4-1/4" x 11" folded in half
Cherry Cobbler: 4-1/4" x 3-3/4", 1-1/4" x 5-1/4" with a V cut out of the end
Very Vanilla: 4-1/4" x 3-1/4" embossed with the Petals-A-Plenty folder and the Big Shot, and three Snow Flurry flakes cut out with the Big Shot
Early Espresso: 1-3/4" x 4-1/4"
A Basic Pearl Large Jewel is in the center and the snowflakes have a Dimensional between each of them.

I'm Back!!

So I have gotten through my whirlwind of watercolor painting shows this summer. I have one left to go and then I really will be back with some great new stamping ideas and tutorials.

Stamping Updates!

The kids will be back in school soon and I will actually have some time for stamping! Don't give up on me, I really will be back with some new stamping projects!
In the mean time... I have been having a great summer of watercolor painting! 
I have been accepted into a few galleries in the area where I will get to hang my work year round.
In addition, the paintings that I did below have been accepted into Juried watercolor shows.
My Rusted Barn Door Track was accepted into the North East Watercolor Society 36th Annual INTERNATIONAL Juried 2012 Exhibition!!! The opening reception and awards for the show will be Sunday, October 21st from 2-4pm at the The Gallery in Kent, CT. The show will run from October 21st to November 4th.

My Looking Up at Malcolm's Silos was accepted into the Vermont Watercolor Society Visions of Vermont Juried Fall Show. The awards and reception for this show will be September 23rd from 3-5pm and the show will run from September 14th to October 20th. It is at the Visions of Vermont Gallery in Jeffersonville, VT.
Anyone is welcome to come to any of the opening award events or visit the shows at any time. If you are in the area, I would love to have you stop by!

JDRF Donation Wedding Ensemble




All of the proceeds from the sale of this tutorial will be donated to JDRF, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, to help find a cure for diabetes! 
This tutorial is to make a large pop-out wedding cake invitation or card with matching envelope, a favor and place settings! You can change around the colors to make it match any décor! Finally Some Stamping!

Black and White Painting

Here is my painting only using Paynes Gray watercolor paint. I really like how it comes out... This one is a small painting, only 11" x 7-1/2".
