Owl Baby & Dolly Card

Ok, these are by far my favorite Owl Cards yet! I am having so much fun with my new Owl Purse & Cards template, I'm sorry to anyone who doesn't like owls! I will make something else soon, I promise!
I thought these would be so cute to give with a baby shower gift or as the shower invite! It would also make a great new baby announcement. I love the Two-Step Owl Punch baby doll owl she/he is holding and the pins on the diapers! Sometimes I just really amuse myself.

Music Notes - Mojo Monday Challenge

I decided to participate in the Mojo Monday Sketch Blog! The sketch this week was too great to pass up!
For my card I used:
  • All Holiday stamp set for the "Love" sentiment
  • Small oval punch for love sentiment and the top part of the big music note
  • 3/4" x 15/16" Oval Punch from the new 2010 Holiday Mini Catalog for the main part of the big music note
  • black brads for the notes in the strip across the middle
  • Newsprint Designer Series Paper
  • Cherry Cobbler and Black card stock
  • Cherry Cobbler, Black and Sahara Sand ink
  • Sponges
  • Cutter kit to rough up the paper
Below is the sketch that you had to use.

So creative! I love it!

Convention Swap Layout Challenge - FREE tutorial for the winner!

I got this swap (above) at convention and it is one of my favorites. I think the layout is so creative and something that I have not seen before so I thought I would do a challenge with this layout!
This swap was made by Latisha Dinkel. Such a good job!

The card below is the one I did using the Just Believe stamp set with the same layout. I love this set!
The neat thing about this card is you just have to put it on a single back (not folded) because you open the card by lifting the top note! This would save a lot of paper for a class!

Add your card links below! I don't do many challenges so don't forget to participate!
The winner to this challenge will get a FREE tutorial of their choice!

Embellish Stitching Color Challenge Blue birds

I made this card for the Embellish Stitching Color Challenge. I used retired colors(Pink Pirouette and Baja Breeze) to match the colors that you had to use for the contest and I made my blue birds in love. I just love this Two-step bird punch! For the stitching part, I hand stitched the nest with twine!

FREE TEMPLATE Wedding Card!

I made this card for the Late Night Stampers "Bring on the Bling" Challenge! It's hard to see how shiny this is but the dazzling diamonds really sparkle!
As long as I was doing it I figured I would make the template to share with you guys! This is huge for me because that means I had to actually think about what I was doing first instead of just cutting as I go!

CLICK HERE to get the FREE TEMPLATE!

Here are the steps:
I printed out the template and cut the dress out of Bride Specialty Designer Series Paper. I centered the dress shape on the texture in the paper so it would be symmetrical. I cut out the extra pieces of the dress and put them on with a dimensional only at the bottom. I then used a two way glue pen to trace some of the swirls in the paper and add some dazzling diamonds.

I used a piece of 1/4" white grosgrain ribbon with a rhinestone brad in the center for the waist.

For the tux, I cut the outside and tie out of black paper. For the tux shirt I used the other pattern of Bride Specialty Designer Series Paper with the stripes. I used the mini rhinestone brads for buttons.

The card is 4 1/4" x 5 1/4" so the dress and tux shirt can stick up and still fit in the envelope. I had it open in the middle instead of on the side and I put the dress over the opening to hide it. Both the dress and tux I put on with dimensionals.

For the inside I used the Priceless stamp set for the swirls. Hope you like it!!

I did a Sketch Challenge!

This card is for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. I thought this was a really unique looking sketch to have to come up with. I used some retired colors because they match the new Welcome Neighbor DSP pretty good.(That’s what the house in the center is from.) The colors I used are Soft Sky, Baja Breeze, Buckaroo Blue, Not Quite Navy and Night of Navy. The saying is from the Once Upon a time stamp set. On the inside it says ‘Happily ever after’.

Chocolate Fortune of Love

This is my little take out container and fortune cookies that I made for the Paper Craft Planet 3D48 'Make it to Go' Challenge. This is the first time I have done one of these so I thought it would be fun.
I used the retired So Many Sayings stamp set for the fortunes and Well Scripted for the heart. I also used Stampin' Up's old take-out container pre-cut boxes but you can get a great take-out template to print out by CLICKING HERE. I used the scallop edge punch, heart punch and the heart sizzlet from the mini catalog for the box.
Here is how I made the fortune cookies:
My circle is 2 1/2"

I even had mini clothes pins to hold them to dry!

Baby Girl Dress - FREE template!

I thought I would go one step further than the onesie card so here is my baby dress card!
I did not have a template when I did this, I just cut and trimmed as I went, so I came up with this template from the pictures. This template is very rough! You have to cut on the inside of the heavy black outline and you fold the card on the line going down the center.

CLICK HERE to get the template! Happy dress making!
