Heart Fingerprint Valentine Card

Here is my Heart Fingerprint Valentine Card! This was so easy to make and so cute with the fingerprints. You can't really tell in the photo, but you can really make out the fingerprints on the card. We are going to do this card at my card class tonight!
To make this, simply cut out the smallest heart from the metal die Hearts Collection. Then use the outside paper (not the cut out heart) to put two fingerprints in. This will make the point on the end and keep them in the heart shape. I used my pointer finger and that seemed to work best.

Here is my Heart Flower Valentine Tutorial!
This tutorial is only $1 and ALL of the proceeds from this tutorial will go towards our Downhill for Diabetes ski and snowboard event to help find a cure for diabetes!
I used the Heart Framelits for the Big Shot, and the Loved Ones and Take it to Heart stamp sets from the 2012 Occasions Mini catalog for this project. I also used the Everyday Enchantment DSP from the 2012 Sale-a-Bration catalog that you can get for free with a $50 purchase! You can easily change out any of the items that you don't have.
(See the Sale-a-Bration catalog here.)

Tasteful Trim Paper Roses Mini Tutorial - FREE!

Here is my Tasteful Trim Paper Roses Mini Tutorial! I saw a picture of flowers somewhere a long time ago made this way, and bought this die to make them. I never got around to it then, and when I sat down to do it, I couldn't find the other picture! So, I have come up with my own way to do this. I'm not sure if it is the same way as in the photo I saw a long time ago, but if it was you who came up with this idea, let me know and I will link you!
These are so simple to make using the Tasteful Trim die! You can get the FREE tutorial below!
I did not have floral tape for the stems, but I think that would make them look better and make it easier to keep the leaves on.

These would be the perfect gift for Valentine's Day for a loved one! I thought they would also make great wedding or prom corsages or boutonnieres. Then you will have them forever!

Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cards & Box

Here is my Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cards & Box Project. You can make strawberry cards or paper strawberries* to put in your box!
This would be a great gift for Valentine’s Day, a wedding or for someone special any time of the year!
This box is similar to the box shown on page 9 of the 2012 Occasions Mini Catalog. It would go great with the P.S. I Love You stamp set, however you do not need it to make this project.

*The paper strawberries are not my original design. I have seen them many places and thought they would look cute with the box and cards. The directions for them are included in the tutorial for fun.

Valentines Framelits Cards and Box

Here is my Valentines Framelits Cards, Envelopes and Box Project!
It includes three differently styled heart cards that all open up their own way with envelopes that match. The box fits at least two of each card style and six envelopes (or less if you would like). This project uses many items from the 2012 Occasions Mini Catalog, however you can change up the colors and stamps and make these cards any way you would like! Enjoy them!
These would also be great for a wedding gift or for a loved one any time of the year!

Cards are approximately 5-1/2" square. You do NOT need 12" paper for this project.

Punch Art Mini Calla Lilies

Sorry for my lack of posting lately, I have been working full time for our Downhill for Diabetes ski and snowboard event that is next month!
My mom came to visit last week and brought her new Blossom Petals punch from the Occasions Mini Catalog! I love this punch and I can't wait to get mine! You have already seen my large punched Calla Lilies that I made with this punch and here are mini ones using the same technique!
I used the Easter Blossoms stamp set for the sentiment with the Large Oval punch and Scallop Oval Punch.

You can see how I made the larger calla lilies HERE shown below. The only difference with these smaller ones, are that I used the two smaller sized punched pieces on the same punch!

Punch Art Calla Lilies

Sorry for my lack of posting lately, I have been working full time for our Downhill for Diabetes ski and snowboard event that is next month!
My mom came to visit and brought her new Blossom Petals punch from the Occasions Mini Catalog! I love this punch and I can't wait to get mine! Here are my punch art Calla Lilies that I made with it!
I used the Easter Blossoms stamp set for the sentiment with the Large Oval punch, Modern Label punch and Decorative Label punch.

Here is how I made them:
I punched the petals out of Whisper White card stock using the Blossoms Petal punch. These are the two largest sized petals.

I trimmed the scallops off the top of the largest petal and sponged them all with Sahara Sand ink.

I cut the stamen freehand out of Daffodil Delight card stock. I put this on with a dimensional and then one of the petals over it. I put a dimensional under the middle of the top petal and glued the pointed tip down with Tombow adhesive so it wouldn't pop up.

I did the same thing with the top petal.

I then sponged the bottom of the flower with Wild Wasabi ink and cut the stem freehand out of Wild Wasabi paper. The leaves are punched out and sponged. Your calla lily is finished!

Hanging Love Mittens

I LOVE the new Framed Tulips embossing folder from the new mini! It makes the greatest frame for any card and is a real must have!
Here is my Love You Much Hanging Mittens card. I used the Butterfly punch and Scallop Oval punch to make the mittens! You can see how I did it below.

How to make the mittens:
Punch out a butterfly and cut it in half.

I drew the mitten shape on with pencil so I would have a guide for cutting. I cut one out and then the other so I would have a matching pair of perfect mittens! For the end of the mitten I used the Scallop Oval punch for the edge and then just cut a small strip and glued it on the edge of the mitten shape.

To make the rack that the mittens are hanging off, I just cut a scrap of paper and drew on it with marker for the wood grain. The pegs are using the large hole on the Crop-a-dile and put on with Dimensionals.

Ribbon Blossom Card

If you guys are like me you have a ton of old ribbon lying around just waiting to be used. I seem to collect the stuff and then save it for the perfect project. Needless to say I have a lot! So I thought this was the perfect project to use some of that for!
I used the Love you Much stamp set and the rest is using seven different kinds of ribbon for the blossom. This is definitely not a card to put in an envelope and mail!

Valentine Ribbon Weave Heart

I used the same ribbon technique that I used on my Christmas tree card on this heart card for Valentines Day. I used the Music Notes roller for the background and I used the Big Shot with the Serif Essentials alphabet for the love. ( The heart for the "o" is using the Heart to Heart punch.)

CLICK HERE to see how to do this technique!

Lovie Birthday Mooses

Here are my Owl Punch Mooses. I made a girl and boy around the heart because it is my in-laws birthdays today. (They were born on the same day and have been together since they were kids!)

Here is how I made them!

I punched an owl out using the Owl Punch and Chocolate chip card stock. I drew the lines on with a pencil (shown in the middle) and cut them out with a scissors.

I used the scallop circle punch in Crumb Cake card stock and then used the large oval punch to punch out the antler shape.

I used the 3/4" circle punch for the feet. The Chocolate chip is the base and the crumb cake is out of the scallop circle and then the 3/4" circle punch for the hoof part.

The heart is cut by hand out of Cherry Cobbler card stock and the love is stamped in white craft ink from the Things I Love stamp set. It is then punched out with the large oval punch and then the scalloped oval punch in white. The bow for the girl is using the heart and small circle from the Owl Punch.
Hope you like them!

These are similar to my old Christmas Moose just using the new punch!

Self Mailing Heart Valentines!

Isn't this so cute!?
I saw this on Janet Wakeland's site and she said they demonstrated it at Leadership. I had never seen this before so I just had to try one! You can mail it just like this, the big heart turns into the envelope!
The paper in the center is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" cardstock and the outside heart is one 12" x 12" piece of DSP cut into a heart shape. You'll have to freehand this ladies, sorry! Also the paper I used is retired, I am trying to use some stuff up.
Here is a picture of it part way open:
