Jingle Bells Ornament

Here is the ornament that I made using the little Jingle Bells from the Holiday Mini Catalog! I also used the pearl beads from the old retired Pretties Kit, but you can use any type of beads between the bells.

Here is how I made this:
I used a small paper clip and straightened it out. I put the bells and pearls on it and bent the ends with a pliers to keep them on. Clip off the excess paper clip.

I unbent another paper clip and put it through the hole in the middle of the center jingle bell, and put the beads on both sides. I did this with another one also, three total. So you have one going through the top hole on the bell, and the other two go through the center slits.

I put a glue dot over the center to keep them all in.

Then I used a hot glue gun to put the flat pearls on the top and keep it all together good. If you don't have the Pretties Kit (retired) flat pearls, you can use the Jewels pearls in the main catalog and the Large Pearl Basic Jewels (upcoming Occasions Mini Catalog) for the center. Do this on both sides to keep everything together really well. Add your string and you are all finished!

Castle Album Project

This is my new Castle Album Project!
Using these templates you can make many different types of projects! You can make a great scrapbook album for a Princess or Dungeons & Dragons themed birthday party. It could also be a great scrapbook of your little princess all dressed up!
Instead of making a scrapbook you can just make a blank little book to give to a child and let them decorate it themselves. This would be perfect for a birthday party activity! Any of the page designs can also be made into a great castle greeting card perfect for any little Prince or Princess!

The album measures approximately 5" x 8" for the largest page. The white album I have shown has 12 pages and the rainbow colored one has 6 pages. You will get directions to make both of these.

Fat Free Box of Chocolate

This is my new Fat Free Box of Chocolates Project! Whats better then fat free, diet safe chocolates?!
The box is about 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 2" and includes a variety of four chocolates. You can make your own combination of chocolates depending on what type of chocolate the person you are giving it to likes! You will also get a pdf. file to print out the Nutrition facts with 110% of Love!
For all of you demonstrators that have seen the May issue of Stampin' Success, the cover has some yummy looking candy made out of paper. That was my inspiration for this project!

FREE TEMPLATE Wedding Card!

I made this card for the Late Night Stampers "Bring on the Bling" Challenge! It's hard to see how shiny this is but the dazzling diamonds really sparkle!
As long as I was doing it I figured I would make the template to share with you guys! This is huge for me because that means I had to actually think about what I was doing first instead of just cutting as I go!

CLICK HERE to get the FREE TEMPLATE!

Here are the steps:
I printed out the template and cut the dress out of Bride Specialty Designer Series Paper. I centered the dress shape on the texture in the paper so it would be symmetrical. I cut out the extra pieces of the dress and put them on with a dimensional only at the bottom. I then used a two way glue pen to trace some of the swirls in the paper and add some dazzling diamonds.

I used a piece of 1/4" white grosgrain ribbon with a rhinestone brad in the center for the waist.

For the tux, I cut the outside and tie out of black paper. For the tux shirt I used the other pattern of Bride Specialty Designer Series Paper with the stripes. I used the mini rhinestone brads for buttons.

The card is 4 1/4" x 5 1/4" so the dress and tux shirt can stick up and still fit in the envelope. I had it open in the middle instead of on the side and I put the dress over the opening to hide it. Both the dress and tux I put on with dimensionals.

For the inside I used the Priceless stamp set for the swirls. Hope you like it!!

Wedding Hearts

Ok, this is really my last post for the day... The power went out and then the internet went out with these storms and I had so many things done and couldn't post them!
While I was playing around with the rose from the Create Embellish Adore blog I found another great idea that I had to try! I changed it around a bit but such a cute idea!

The hearts are punched using the Full Heart Punch. The bride is using the Finial Press embossing folder with the Big Shot. The necklace is non-Stampin' Up mini pearls. The Groom is 1/4" black grosgrain ribbon for the bow tie and I punched out a white heart and just cut the shirt part out. The black buttons are marker. The black and white paper is the retired Specialty DSP and of course the Lattice die cut for the background. The ribbon is Organza with white half pearls from the Pretties Kit on top!

Ribbon Butterflies Challenge

I got inspired by the colors in this challenge and that you had to use ribbon for it.
This is the card that I came up with!
I dyed the flowers from the pretties kit and the butterflies are made out of ribbon! I have done them before but I thought I would try one with double ribbon. I thought they came out pretty good.CLICK HERE to see more details about the challenge.

Cupcake Box Contest Entry

I stumbled across the contest below and thought it would be fun to enter. You have to use purple, brown and kraft to make any type of project or card and it has to include stripes. I really liked these colors together and I love the striped Bride Specialty DSP that you can brayer any color so it was perfect!
On this box for stamps I used Voila to Go and Once Upon a Time and the colors are Chocolate Chip, Kraft, and Rich Razzleberry. This Box fits two cupcakes inside(or anything else you want to put in) and you can use it for any occasion! I thought this would make a great wedding box. You can get the template and directions to make this box by CLICKING HERE!

Mini Felt Flower

My daughter got a matching red jacket to mine this Christmas and once she saw my flower pin she had to have one to match. I made hers with out the biggest circles so it wouldn't be as big. Here is her with her new pin. To see the original post with directions CLICK HERE.

Felt Flowers with Pretties Bead

I saw these flowers for sale and just had to try and make one.
The sizes of the circles that I used are (5)2.25", (4)2" and (3)1.5". The entire flower is about 4" across. Pretty good sized but gorgeous. It's a good thing that I have all this scrap stuff that I never throw away so when I feel like doing a project I have it! The center pearl is the large off-white bead from the Pretties Kit. Where I saw this originally it said she used the circles die with the Big Shot which would have been much easier then cutting all the circles by hand. I do not have the circle die cut one :( ..... yet.

Here are all the felt circles cut out. The petals are just twisted at an edge and then sewn together.

I have had many questions for better directions on how to make these so I have added this in. Hope it helps! This is just showing the steps on one small piece of felt, this is smaller then the petals I said to use and another color.

I used a heavy thread and needle so it wouldn't pull through the felt.

For the large petals you have to fold the petal over on itself and back at one side like this and thread it on. I threaded all five big petals on one right after the other and then arranged and knotted them.

For the smaller petals I just folded them in half for some and others I folded like the big ones.

Just thread the needle through one after another and arrange them to look how you want. I did tie a knot after each different size of petals. Once they are all on I put some more stitches in to hold them a little better in an arrangement.

Here is the back of the real flower with the leaf sewn on.

With a safety pin on my coat. Nice and festive for winter.

I thought these would be great for a boutonniere for a wedding, they are beautiful and really easy to save after the big day. Also great to give parents or Grandparents as something special to wear!
I also have one other post with these, CLICK HERE to see.
