Caramel Popcorn Teacher Gifts

So I came up with a fun idea for end of the year teacher gifts! We made homemade caramel popcorn and put it in canning jars (I found the great jars with the red and white tops at Walmart) to give to the teachers and ladies at front desk and our wonderful nurse of course. For the kids main teachers and the nurse we also included a gift certificate to go to the movies in the card.
Here is a brief run-down of how I made them!
(I was going to write a free mini tutorial for this, but I am just way behind with everything right now! It is our last week of school and I am working on convention swaps!)

For the strip that goes around the jar, it is an 11" x 3-1/2" piece of red card stock. I used the scallop Border punch on both sides, making sure to line the scallops up across from each other. I made a second identical strip out of white card stock, and then cut between each scallop, to give me a bunch of long word window looking shapes. I used Tombow to stick these on every other scallop section to give me the striped look. The red center square is 3" x 3-1/2" and the white on top is 3-1/4" x 2-3/4" with the edges sponged with Bashful blue. (Sorry, I forgot to take pictures of this part!) I attached this to the jars with red Sticky Strip tape.

For the popcorn I used the small flower in the Punch Pack punches and punched them in white card stock. I colored them in with the So Saffron marker leaving some white and doubling in some areas to make it darker. Then I trimmed off three of the petals to give it the popcorn shape.

The popcorn container is just a 2" x 1-1/4" piece of red paper with the sides cut at a slight angle, then using the scallop oval punch on the top. Do the same to a white piece of paper, then cut it into strips and alternate gluing them on the red. (One white will make stripes for two red pieces) Then just put the popcorn on the top!

For the movie strip on the card, I used the Spiral Border punch on the edges of the 2-1/4" x 7" black piece. The white squares are 1-3/8" x 1-3/4".

The white part of the card is sponged with Bashful Blue ink put on a red main card. Just trim your photo strip that hangs over. The bucket and popcorn are put on with dimensionals.

To make the background for the sentiment, (Afterthoughts- Hostess stamp set) I just cut one red Decorative Label punched piece in quarters and glued it on the back with the edges showing.

Here is all of them that I made!
And yes, I gave up on having any free time in the last few weeks punching out, cutting and coloring all of the little popcorn pieces!

The people at my kids school are more then worth it!

Map Envelopes

Link
I saw a photo of something like this on a website, and thought it was such a great idea!

Here is how I did mine:
I used Google maps to map my address to where I am sending my letter to.
Then I saved the image as a pdf and printed it out larger then I needed it.
I put glue stick on the back of my envelope and stuck on my map, and then trimmed the edges.
I wrote my return and sender addresses on address label stickers and then cut them out. ( I have whited out the addresses on here)
I lined them with black marker so they would stick out, and stuck them where they go.

All finished! Adorable personalized envelopes!

Tooth Box & Card FREE Tutorial

Here is a project to make the perfect little box and note to put your lost tooth in, and leave out for the Tooth Fairy! You could also make the card and leave it next to the pillow, for your child, from the Tooth Fairy.

Ashley lost her first tooth (besides the two that she lost from falling on them!) so she didn't want to give it up to the tooth fairy. We left a note but I wanted to make this little box for her to keep it in.
This would also be a great gift to give to someone with a loose tooth!

This is a FREE Mini Tutorial, "mini" because its pretty short and easy!

Do not forget to download and print both the tutorial and the template page!

You can look at them on here or print them out from Scribd.
If you have not used Scribd before, it is free. All you have to do is sign in, and you can print everything out.

Loads of Love Truck Book

Here is my Loads of Love Truck Book that I made for my four year old son. Needless to say, he loves it! This is really simple to do and I will show you all the pictures in it below. All I used is the Loads of Love truck stamp and a marker to make the additions. I colored them in with lots of different colored stamp pads and the Blender Pen to give it that watercolored look.

First, just stamp the Loads of Love truck on a small piece of white card stock or watercolor paper. I used just plain white card stock. All of these trucks have the full truck stamp stamped, and then the additions were made. The book is just Pumpkin Pie card stock stapled together and then the ribbon put on over the binding.

Then, for example with the fire truck, I just used a black marker to add the ladder on the back and the light on the top. (Later I also added a horn on the front, but not in this picture.)

Here are all of the colored pages below. You can see how I added everything on top of the fully stamped truck image. I think they came out so cute! (Some are a little bit of a stretch, but Timmy enjoyed them anyway.)

Fire Truck & Crazy Tractor(this is the one that's a stretch!)

Plow & Cement Mixer
Dump Truck & Cherry Picker

Police Car and Semi Truck

Jeep & Ambulance
Tow Truck (or Mater!) & Oil Truck
Farm Truck & Dump TruckHope you enjoyed all of my little trucks. If anyone comes up with anymore, please send me a photo! I would love to see them!
