StampTV CSS Alumni Blog Hop~Some of our Favorite Things

Hello it is time for another StampTV CSS Alumni blog hop.  You should have arrived here from the very talented and beautiful Betty's blog.  If not you can start the hop at StampTV.   For today's hop the CSS group is sharing some of their favorite things.  

One of my most favorite things to do is color flowers and Melanie Muenchinger's flowers are beautiful and I so enjoy coloring them.  So I knew right away that I had to use this rose from Stately Flowers 6.

For my second card I love the look of CAS cards, but struggle with them.  It is all the "white space" that makes me feel like I have to keep adding more to the card.  So being as I love the look of CAS I decided to make one.  It was much easier than the last time I made one.  Maybe it was due to having this wonderful Balanced Diva set.

Life of the Party

Happy Monday!!  It is time for another challenge for the Greetings Card Challenge at The Outlawz.  this week the challenge is Bring on the Bling!!  How doesn't love some bling?

 

I used A List Star from the February release from Whimsy Stamps.  Isn't she gorgeous?  So much fun to color and then jazz up the card.  I will also be entering this card into the following challenges.

Where Hope Grows

Hello and Happy Friday!!!  I have a card to share that I made using Pretty Petals from Whimsy Stamps.

I went a little out of my comfort zone for this card.  I am a bit OCD and have a hard time with an element go outside the edge of the card. That being said I really like how the card came out.  It is good to push my own boundaries.   The flowers are colored with copics and the paper is A Walk In The Park from Echo Park.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend and thank you for stopping by.

My Heart Skips a Beat

 Hello I hope you are enjoying your weekend.  I have a card to share today that I made for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge.  The challenge this week is to heart elements on your card.

I used Roses are Red from Flourishes.  After coloring and cutting out the image I sponged with Memento desert sand ink before removing the die.  The paper is from Echo Park's For the Record.  In addition to the heart button on the bow I have two heart brads holding the sentiment in place and then there is the work heart in the sentiment. 

In addition to Flourishes Timeless Tuesday I am entering this card into Use It Tuesday's challenge which is fastener.  For Use It Tuesday you also have to use items from your stash.  The heart button and brads are some that I have had for a long time and never use.

Sweetness of Friendship

 Hello today I am sharing a card I made for Flourishes Pick One Challenge.

 You have to pick one for each of these categories.  I pick sketch #1, colors #2 and embellishment #2.

The Outlawz Greeting Card Challenge~Case the Design Team

 Hello Happy Monday!  It is time for another challenge from The Greeting Card Challenge at The Outlawz.  This week the challenge is to case the design team.  I picked the following gorgeous card from Penny Mull.

My take on Penny's beautiful card.

I changed the image, papers and added a sentiment.  The image is Hugs and Kisses from Saturated Canary.  I didn't have that wonderful die so I used some silk ribbon to give the added focal point.  I also didn't add as many flowers as Penny did.  Thank you Penny for such a gorgeous inspiration card.  Make sure you head over to The Outlawz Greeting Card Challenge and check out the rest of the design teams fantastic creations.  I hope you can join us this week.

Sent With Love

Hello today I have a Valentine card I made.

I used Little Bear Cupid  a digital image from StampArt Design for Whimsy Stamps.  Isn't he adorable?  Coloring fur is something I struggle with, but all in all I think it came out okay.  I added glitter to the hearts, wings and halo.  The sentiment is from Everyday Mini Postage Stamps Sentiments by RainDrop Echo Designs for Whimsy Stamps and cut out with Whimsy Shapeolgy Mini Postage Die.  Thank you for stopping by.

The Outlawz Greeting Card Challenge~Stitching

 Hello the challenge this week at The Greeting Card Challenge is Stitching, real, faux or hand.

I use Happy Birthday from Bugaboo.  I love this image it can be used for anyone of any age.  I chose to go with primary colors for more of a juvenile look.  For a fun look I decided to use different sized squares offset for a mat.  I hope you can join us this week. CSS Alumni Blog Hop~Color Challenge

 Hello it is time for another StampTV CSS blog hop!!  This time it is a color challenge.  Geri is challenging us to use Pink and Red with with an option of white, black or tan.  You should have arrived her from the incredibly talented Cheri.  If you missed someone along the way you can get the entire list of hoppers at StampTV.

At first I was struggling with this combo for some reason.  Then inspiration hit and I made three cards!  For all the cards I used Gina K Designs stamps and Pure Luxury Innocent Pink and Lipstick Red card stock.

I used one of the sentiments from Elegant Florals for this card.  Ironically I didn't plan on making this card, but just a few hours before the start of this hop inspiration struck and so I whipped up this card.  I have to say I am very pleased with how it turned out and it was a quick card to.

For my next two cards I used the sketch from this weeks Mix It Up Monday hosted by Sharon Harnist.

 I used Sweet Strawberries for this card.  I flipped the sketch. 

Finally this card came to me as I was drifting off to sleep a few days ago.  It uses the chalkboard technique.  I first gave this technique a try back in December and really enjoyed it.  

I decided to color the poinsettia with colored pencils. I used Joyful Holiday for this card.   One Christmas card done for 2013!!  I surprised myself by using pink and red going into Valentines day and I didn't make one of the for it!
