Stamp from Pink Gem Designs - coloured with watercolour pencils and loads of gold gems added to hat, scarf and star, then hat scarf and gloves covered with layer of diamond ice stickles, so plenty of bling on this one! Cuttlebug embossing folder used for white BG and gold peeloff greeting added.

Pile it On #8- watercolouring

3 Clovers Thursday #23 - Bling

Colour Create #23 - Blue & White

Popped up Magnolia

Popped this little girls dress up using a tutorial I saw on someone's blog, but can't remember who it was ... sorry! You stick the top part of each layer with glue and then pop up the lower parts and it gives a really great effect!

Coloured with watercolour pencils and a white glaze pen used to colour the daisies in the basket. Also used my watercolours to colour the large prima flower, so its the same pink as her dress.

Sketch from Just Magnolia #15

CRAFT Challenge #10 - pink and green

Also for Scrappy Frogs #9 - make a card with a Magnolia stamp.

Antrim Agricultural Show

I went to the Antrim Agricultural Show today for the first time since I was a kid. I wouldn't fancy this boy stepping on my toe ... he weighs over one and a half tonnes!
Now that's what I call a view! Ha Ha!

Little green monster

Sketch from Friday Sketchers #62

Stamp from Whipper Snapper, coloured with watercolour pencils and red copic marker. Popped up once on dimensionals and then his tongue popped up again.

Bad Doggy!

One Stop Craft Challenge #38 is Good Sense of Humour.

This image was a free download from Dustin Pike isn't it just so naughty! I love that you think its a cutsie image when you first look at it! Coloured with copic markers and black stickles added to their noses. Sentiment from Stampin Up 'Ruff Day'

The sketch from Sketch and Stash Challenge #15 - my new stash is the Dustin Pike image. Great sketch for using up scraps!

Award from Liz

Liz at Lace Buttons Ribbons and Bows left me this lovely award - thanks very much Liz! Pop over and visit her blog!
I'd like to pass it on to:
There's many others deserve this award too, so if you haven't already got this award please help yourself!

Christmas in July

My card stash is well up to date, so I'm enjoying all these Christmas challenges!

The sketch is from The Sweet Stop #13 which also had the spin of being a Christmas theme.

Three Clovers Designs #22 is Christmas in July

High Hopes Challenge #40 also wanted a Christmas card

Winter Wonderland's challenge #8 is to make a card featuring Santa

And Allsorts Challenge #10 is to make a card using ONE of everything - I used 1 stamp (Whipper Snapper), 1 peel off greeting, 1 silver charm, 1 coloured paper, 1 punch (corner rounder for scalloped edge), 1 cuttlebug embossing folder, 1 coloured stickles, 1 ribbon...phew!

Image coloured with copic markers (just for a change!)

First crop of Spuds!

A couple of months ago my brother gave us some seed potatoes and little black grow bags, so we've duly watered and cared for them and did our best to keep the bugs off! We gave in this morning and emptied one of the bags and this was the result! Yes they really were that small ... definately what you call 'baby' potatoes ... but delish anyway!

Pink'n'Purple Snowman

Yet another Chrissy card hot off the press - neither my glue nor snow are dried yet! I got a total sickener of making Christmas cards last year as I left it too late, so I'm making good on the promise I made myself not to get caught out for Christmas '09!

I thought I was going well with this sketch from Carol's Sketch Fun #10, until I finished making my card and then actually looked at the sketch properly - there's supposed to be a loopy border on the top of the central panel. I did wonder why there was a tutorial on how to do it on their website ... Duh!

Also for Creative Inspirations #17 - Stitching Real or False. Mine's real... which is why it looks wonky! Ha Ha!

Stamp from Pink Gem Designs and paper from a DCWV Christmas Stack. Purple stickles added for accents and silver peel off greeting.

Baby Boy

Sketch from Unscripted Sketches #14

Punched scalloped border using my SU corner punch - but couldn't turn the corners properly which is why they're a bit wonky! How do you make your long scalloped edges - is there a punch or a die you like to use?

Image from Whipper Snapper - coloured with copic markers and hat and baby blanket slightly decoupaged. Added my favourite diamond ice stickles to ticket on hat and to feathers - the diamond ice seems to take the colour of the background, so you don't need 20 different tubes!

Flying High

Stamp With Us set a children's card challenge and I joined it with the The Next Level challenge #7 - use the sketch and a 3-d image.

I popped my little boy, the sentiment and the kite up on dimensionals. Sponged the sky with a cloud template I found on the web, but unfortunately I didn't keep the link. Boy and kite coloured with copic markers.

Stamps from Stampin Up 'Kids at Play'

Hydrangea sympathy

I'm not sure what type of flower this is -
perhaps a hydrangea?
Coloured with watercolour pencils and silver peel off greeting added. Also a dot of purple stickles in the centre of each flower.
Sketch from The Sweet Stop #12
Stampin Up stamp and Brenda Walton papers.

One daisy stamp, two cards

I've been indexing my stamps recently and 'rediscovered' this daisy stamp from Cornish Heritage Farm.

The Birthday one is for a colleague in work. Coloured with copic markers and a little scrap of Rubber Soul paper added.

Sketch from Mojo Monday #95

The Thinking of you card is coloured with watercolour pencils and again a scrap of Rubber Soul paper used.

Sketch from The Secret Crafter #40

Both cards qualify for the High Hopes challenge #39 - Upsy Daisy

Yo, Dude!

I don't really have any 'little boy' stamps, so treated myself to this little Bild Marlarna one from Bunny Zoe's online shop ... isn't he cool!

Paper pieced his hat to match the BP and coloured with copic markers. Doodled borders with black pen and central panel mounted on dimensionals.
Paper from Rubber Soul.

Simon Says Challenge: Paper Piecing

Sketch from Sketch and Stash Challenge 14

Best Fishes

Our Creative Corner's challenge is Pet Parade and Scrappy Frogs want an Under the Sea card. So I thought I'd give Ruby a rest and feature our fish instead!

Sketch from Stamps and Smiles

I stamped my fish on the front of some acetate and then added stickles to the rear. The circles are popped up on dimensionals and added some bling. Silver peel off letters and a little silver fish charm to finish. It doesn't really show up in the photo but the blue paper has a glittery finish, ran this through my cuttlebug to get the 'bubbles'.

Stamps from Stampin Up 'Fishy Friends'

Christmas Present

Winter Wonderland's challenge #7: Christmas Present

Sketch from Allsorts Challenge #9 (flipped)

Whipper Snapper stamp coloured with watercolour pencils and clear stickles added to hat. Made snow 'shadows' on bear with my copic marker and colourless blender from a tutorial on I Like Markers - think it was quite a few pages back.

Papers from an old stash (DCWV) and silver peel off greeting and snowflakes added.

A fancy new home

I needed a new home card and had this idea that if a snail was 'moving home' it would probably pick something a bit fancier than their usual boring shell. Not sure if this idea translates into my card or not! Added loads of green and blue stickles for some bling.

Supplies/: really old stamp from Inkadinkado (I think) and sentiment from http://www.onefourzero.co.uk/. Coloured with copic markers.

Sketch from Midnight Madness - by the way they have some blog candy of a big shot, a bag and some textured folders, get yourself over for a look to see how you can win! (Ends 14 Aug)

Snuggly and Cuddly!

Its a bit of a cool blustery afternoon here in NI - I've just had to bump the heating on for half an hour. Wish the weather would make its mind up ... a week or two ago we were melting in the heat!

Anyway, this is my new stamp called Mimosa's Teddybear which Postie delivered this morning from Bunny-Zoe's gorgeous web shop. I'm not sure whether to add a sentiment or not - think she might end up as a Get Well card? Coloured with copic markers.

Sketch from Friday Sketchers

One Stop Craft Challenge #37 is Furry Things - the teddy bear
Copic Creations challenge #7 is Brunette Hair

And High Hopes challenge #38 is Polka Dots

Simple Sympathy in pink & blue

Made this to the sketch from Rosie Dees but then realised it should have been a birthday theme... duh!
Also for Creative Card Crew #18 - Ribbons ... not a hard challenge as I use ribbons a lot!
Supplies: SU Flowers in Bloom - paper pieced and mounted on dimensionals, pink and blue gems

Baby's Christening

I don't think I've ever made a Christening Card before, so this is a first for me! Bought these gold peel off stickers ages ago - I had intended to add the child's name, Shea, but of course I didn't have any E's in my gold letter peeloffs! Paper pieced the bear to match one of the BP's

Sketch from Mojo Monday #94

A Spoon Full of Sugar #59 has 'Hearts' as their challenge this week - I have hearts on my BP, a little heart eyelet and some little gold peel off hearts too

Also for Crafty Creations challenge of 'Celebrations'

And they lived ....

I was asked by a friend at work to make a "fancy" wedding card. Well I hate making wedding cards - don't know why! Of course it doesn't help when I never buy any 'weddingy' type stash!
Anyhoo this is what emerged after about 3 long hours!
The image is from Forever Friends - just heat embossed with silver EP. Coloured slightly with my copic markers - his hat does match the paper a bit better than it actually looks in the photo.
Sentiment from High Hopes.
And gorgeous crochet flowers from Linda's blog candy a while back - they're almost too nice to use, but at least most people don't chuck out their wedding cards, so its not like they're being 'wasted'!
Sketch from Crafts 4 Eternity

An Old Fashioned Christmas...?

This week's challenge over at Winter Wonderland is 'Christmas Past' - I thought my new Magnolia stamp looked like an old-fashioned kind of girl (....well, OK then..... I was just dying to get some ink on it!)

And Charmed Crafts have a fantastic giveaway of 72 Copic markers - just upload an image that you have coloured yourself - see pic on sidebar

Added loads of stickles to her collar etc and to the falling snow outside. Coloured with copic markers, though I think I should have done her gloves a different colour, they just don't look right.

Sentiment from Stampin Up - Loads of Love.

Sketch from June's Magnolia-licious Highlites

Creative Inspirations #15 is MASKING - I masked up the window and stamped the trees 'outside'
