Xmas Card #19

I was lucky enough to win this cutie on the All That Scraps blog a few weeks ago, so thought I'd need to get a move on with my Christmas cards!  I think she might feature on Greg's Christmas card, wish my waist was that size LOL!

Note to self... next time you use your new poinsettia die, don't make them exactly the same colour as your DP!! Doh!

Blue Lolly Dude

I haven't had any mojo for aaaages so thought I'd have a go at some of the tips from Papercrafts Connection ... I'd love to get a copy of their Card Design Handbook, but it costs $14.99 and postage is $17.99!!! No way Jose!  I think I'll just make do with the tips on their blog for free!

Anyhoo, this card was an attempt at the rule of 3 ... split your colour into thirds, but I think mine would have worked better if I'd used another blue instead of white for the top panel.  Ah well, I'll know better for next time.

I've had this lollypop ribbon in my stash for ages, and thought it would be perfect for this wee dude from CC Designs.  I glittered up the swirl in the lolly and then covered the lot in clear gloss.  Paper Smooches sentiment.

This wee card is for my card-making SIL, so I've incorporated loads of her favourite elements that I hope she'll love! ... doggy, butterflies, cloud, twine and a bit of sparkle!

Card Details: My wee girl and wall are stamps from CC Designs and I'm not sure about the doggy (its an old-oldie ... possibly from Cornish Heritage Farm?)  Coloured with a mixture of copics (Hair - E37,E29,E49) and promarkers for her outfit and the wall.  My swirls (Marianne Creatibles) got a bit lost on the busy DP.  Martha Stewart butterfly punch.  Card candy and pearls coloured with hot pink promarker to match colour scheme.

A pretty little miss

I won this little C.C. Designs cutie a few weeks ago when All that Scraps previewed their new stamps... isn't she just adorable!  Coloured with promarkers and then paper pieced her dotty green outfit from a wee scrap of DP lying on my table.   Popped her up on dimensionals, added a few punched butterflies, Tim Holtz border die, a couple of silver peel off border lines and Taa Daa .. done!  And I love it!

Hope you've had a good Sunday ... its been a horrible damp and dreary day here!  (...so plenty of cards made!)
