Stripe overload!

Quick post tonight ... I'm knackered after a long day at work and then spent this evening down in Mum's with the family and my 7yr old nephew.  We had a very interesting chat when I learnt that apparently Croatia is just down the coast of Northern Ireland (we then got the atlas out!) and he baked us some 'delicious' cookies with the help of my SIL (...anyone got an indigestion tablet LOL!)

Anyway, this wee card stars a fab digi that Paula at Pjay Scrap-Art designed a while back .... coloured her with promarkers to match my dp and popped her up on dimensionals.  The purple strips at the bottom are ribbons.  Birthday Wish List stamp from Whimsy Stamps.

Aunty Jean's Birthday Card

ETA: This card was spotlighted over at SCACD Friends
I got a wee bit of money for my birthday ... used to be I'd put it towards new clothes or shoes.  Not now .... this time I blew the lot on some lovely new papers!  Hee hee!  This gorgeous summery DP is from Echo Park, and luckily enough I had a perfect match in plain pink!  And just in case this wasnn't summery enough, I punched out some mini flowers and added loads of bling!  Coloured my little SCACD girl with a mixture of copics and promarkers.

Xmas card #01!

Taaa Daaa!  This year's first Christmas card .... this time last year I had quite a few made, but it ended up being a tedious year long project, and the ones made at the end of the year were so much better than those made at the start!  So this year I'm just going to wing it, make a few fancy cards and make all my own cards nice and simple ... well, that's the theory anyway!

This one uses one of last year's High Hopes snowmen - coloured with promarkers, popped up his jumper, hat and scarf on dimensionals; clear gloss added to his skate blades, loads of stickles to his jumper and the falling snow, and white flowersoft for the snow on the ground.  Also coloured some wee gems for the small snowflake to match the bigger sparkly one.
Right, that's me ... I'm pooped this evening!  I think I must have broken the email-sending world record today and at the last tally I'd sent over 140 individual emails, so I'm nearly cross-eyed now!  Think I'll just have to close them for 40 winks!

Dream Valley Challenge #08

Its challenge time again over at Dream Valley ... and this week it couldn't be easier!
Our theme for challenge #08 is simply Stamp Something ... so make a card, scrapbook layout or whatever takes your fancy, just make sure you stamp something!  There's fab prizes up for grabs from Papermaze and Funky kits .... so pop over to Dream Valley to upload your card and have a peek at the DT's lovely creations!
We're also having a DT call ... so if you fancy joining our lovely team add your details to the linky thing ON THIS POST at Dream Valley.

For my card I've used one of High Hopes new robot stamps (check out High Hopes blog for a list of stockists) - coloured with promarkers, added some bling to his eyes and a few accents of red stickles.  I also stamped a couple of tickets from Whimsy and die cut using one of their ticket dies.   Added some gold stars and peel off sentiment and borders.  Paper from  Dovecraft.

Other Challenges:
Charisma #21 - Boy oh Boy
Top Tip Tuesday #35 - use at least 2 stamps
My time to Craft #142 - use a die cut

Taaaa Daaaa!

Here's another wee stamp (from High Hopes) I haven't used for ages (I'm on an economy drive and trying to use my oldies more often!)   Coloured with copics / promarkers. though I'm not happy with how his trousers turned out, I'll have to examine the High Hopes blog to see how the professionals colour him!   Smooch illuminate added to his blue dicky bow and accessories and clear gloss to his shoes.  The bunny in the hat and the one leaning on his shoe are popped up on dimensionals.  Added some silver stars to my starry DP and some clear gems to the birthday ticket.
Thought I'd share this pic of the goodies that Audrey (a.k.a. HippieAud) sent me ... I came runner up in one of her recent giveaways and got this fab box of goodies (there were also a couple of embossing folders, but I forgot to include them in this pic)  I think the winner must need a fork lift truck to get their goodies through the door!!!  Thanks Audrey! (She has another giveaway on the go at the minute ... link in my sidebar ----> )

EEEEEK, a flying mouse!

ETA: this card was featured at Little Red Wagon AND I also won the High Hopes goodies too!

I quite often make a card and think Hmmmmm ....  but this one I love!
Its really a very simple sketch, but my fancy DP jazzes it up a bit AND I managed to use my Ticket stamp that I find so difficult use!   Oh, and I was lucky enough to win some new releases over at Your Next Stamp ... its been a great crafty day!

Recipe: Stamp from High Hopes - coloured with copics, clear gloss added to balloon and black enamel accents to his nose. DP from Dovecraft.  Whimsey ticket die, dienamics cloud die, stampin up corner punch, bakers twine.  Blue and red gems from stash.

And just for fun, here's a wee pic of my wee dog with her own wee dog ... I think it has the longest lasting squeaker ever, usually it only takes Ruby an hour or two to kill them!

Little donkey

Awww isn't this just the cutest little donkey! I make a few cards every month which are sold to raise funds for our local animal shelter and apparently they've had requests for some horsey cards (who knew they'd be so popular!!!) (Big shout out here for my SIL Andrea, who produces a huge amount of cards for the shelter every month and keeps our local vets supplied with a card stash!!) I don't really have many horsey images, so this little donkey is about as close as I'm gonna get!

Oh, and don't forget if you haven't played in the Dream Valley Challenge yet, you've another week to get your Mother's Day card made!

Recipe: Meljens image coloured with promarkers and red stickles added to the little hearts. Pearls coloured to match. Martha Stewart butterfly punch and scalloped border punch. Swirl from Marianne Design. Whimsy ticket die; sentiment from Simon Says Stamp

On the phone... version 2

I had another go at using my Whimsy ticket die on this second card, and also the Whimsy Wish List stamp.  The rose ribbon is oldie stuff from my stash and my DP (Papermania) has been knocking round my box for a couple of years now!  Coloured with mixture of copics and promarkers, and bling coloured to match.

On the phone .... Version 1

Its been a bit of a damp overcast day, so no fence painting today ... hooray (don't think my wee hands would have stuck another day of it without needing a serious manicure!!)
So instead I had a bit of a play with this lovely stamp from Victoria Case for SCACD .... stay tuned for another version!!   Coloured with Promarkers and I doodled my curly border to match the telephone wire.  And I used my little Whimsy tickets/dies (that I just 'had to have', but for some reason I find very difficult to use!!!)

Card for Zack

This Birthday Wish List stamp (Whimsy) was another one I had to buy after a visit to Crystal's blog (....I think I should stop visiting her blog, would definately be cheaper for me!!!)  But I'm glad I got it, I love it!  Wee mouse (Whiff Of Joy stamp) is coloured with promarkers, popped up on dimensionals and clear gloss and glitter added to icing.  Silver peel offs and green gems from stash.

Anyone for a round..?

I've never had a go at golf ... just never had the inclination!  I think a round or two of crazy golf was about the height of my golfing skills!
This wee cutie is from High Hopes - coloured with copics and some bling added for her buttons.  (Mind you, she looks like she needs to lose a few pounds and would be better going to the aerobics class, rather than a dander round the golf course LOL!)
  • High Hopes #103 - female birthday
  • Top Tip Tuesday #23 - bling it on.   My top tip this week is to use suitable paper for colouring your image ... watercolour pencils will look a million times better on watercolour paper, and copics blend beautifully when you use paper which will soak the ink through (I've been using c/s from Lily of the Valley and its just lovely)!
  • Colour Create #65 - use fruity colours .... I've used apple, strawberry and lemon
  • Stamp Something - flowers

Hurrah for comfy slippers!

I had a huge clear out of my crafty stuff and got it all nicely arranged ... though it will probably be as bad as ever this time next week!  I've been looking for this Penny Black stamp for weeks (I think she loves her comfy slippers almost as much as I love mine!) and rediscovered these pretty flowers and loads of other stash too!

Colour combo from SPCC 87 - pacific blue, pumpkin pie, pale pink
Sketch from Sketch'n Stash #55
Alphabet challenge - P = Paper Piecing
Crazy 4 Challenges C4C75 - use dies (I used the Whimsy ticket die)
