Mum's Retirement Card
My Mum retires this week after 30-odd years working for the same firm ... not too many people can claim that! So this wee card's for her.
I paper pieced my flags and glossed up her watering can and trowel and added some sparkle to the dots on her dress. I also got out my much neglected Memory Box die that I bought back at the start of the year and have used maybe twice. Bad me.
Sentiment from Lili of the Valley. Whimsy butterfly die.

Aunt Renee's birthday card
I know I'm not a Tilda fan, but I do LOVE this wee girl ... I just wish she looked a bit happier. Still haven't got the hang of colouing her hair yet ;)
Coloured with copics and some stickles added for a bit of glitz. Clear gloss added to watering can and trowel. Sentiment popped up on dimensionals.

- Sketch from Sketch'n Stash #89 - my 'stash' is this sheet of white lined DP - I always thought it was too pretty to use and that it was more for a scrapbook LO, but I made myself cut into it :)

Andrea's birthday card
This is for my sister in law ... she's a card making demon and makes hundreds of cards every year for our local doggy shelter, so hope she likes it!
Coloured with copics; loads of stickles added and clear gloss to the watering can and trowel (no need of a watering can here, we've had nothing but rain this past few days and more due too!); heart die from Taylored Expressions.

Jubilee Tilda
We've a lovely loooong weekend here for the Queen's Jubilee, with most people off work now till Wednesday - though I have to work for a few hours on Monday :(
So in Royal mood, here's my wee Jubilee card .. red, white and blue and some diamonds! (I'd LOVE to have a good nosey through the Liz's jewelry box and see all her bling, wouldn't it be amazing!) Anyway, if you're Jubilee partying this weekend, have a good one!
I've added to my Tilda collection and now have 3! I won one of Jacque's weekly candies a few weeks ago, so thought I'd treat myself to this wee gardener. I coloured her in a mixture of pencils, copics and promarkers (I haven't quite got the hang of her hair, more practice me thinks!) Added some clear gloss to her watering can and trowel; lots of bling and clear stickles. VERY old DP, possibly from English Heritage Paper Co - think this was the first pack of DP I ever bought!; heart die from Taylored Expressions; bunting from Practicing Creativity

Lindsay's Birthday card
Its a Bank Holiday Monday here, and weather has been typical ... bucketing rain all day! We went to the garden centre but it was sooo cold we just popped in and straight back out again. Brrr! Finally got my pea seedlings bought, but there was no way I was venturing outside to plant them! I felt sorry for the poor souls running the Belfast Marathon ... at the point we saw them they'd been running for nearly 4 hours in the rain and they looked pooped! Fair play to them though, I couldn't run to the end of the garden!
I delved into my Tilda collection (which consists of 2 stamps!) for this card - coloured with Promarkers / Spectrum Noir and loads of bling added. Wish I'd cut my image a wee tiny bit wider though to fit her name better, though I rarely plan my cards properly! I had to cut the centre out of my Martha Stewart heart die as I'd nowhere else to stick her age!

Dream Valley Challenge #17
Our new challenge at Dream Valley is
Jodie very kindly sent me this Witchy Tilda recently, so I thought I'd try to go with a monochrome black theme (though a smidgen of green did creep in!)
Popped some wee plastic bats up on dimensionals, and a wee silver web in the corner. Also added some gems which I coloured black with my copic marker. Sentiment is from an oldie Stampin Up set.
Don't forget you've a fortnight to play along - make anything you like, doesn't have to be a card, just as long as it's monochrome ... you could win yourself a voucher from One Stop Card Crafts!
Challenges I'd like to enter this card in:

Japanese Tilda
I thought it was about time I got this cute Tilda inked up as she's been sitting in my stash for a while now. I wasn't entirely sure how to colour her little parasol, so I'm not sure if it looks OK or not! I had my wonky eyes in too when I stuck down the little squre in the bottom LH corner, oops! Central butterfly panel popped up on dimensionals. Added silver peel off lines round the dp and a peel off sentiment. Coloured with copics.

- Top Tip Tuesday #30 - open challenge. My Top Tip this week: I usually keep my unmounted stamps in their original packaging and keep with it a stamped version of the same image (just stamp it onto plain c/s and cut out tight to the line) - that way you'll always know where it is when you want to mask your image.
