Don't look now!

Hee, how's this for a fun card!  I bought this wee stamp from Hambo aaaaaages ago cause I thought he was so funny, and then when he arrived in the post I was stumped as to what to do with him!  I mean, what do you do with an image of a flasher?!! So he's sat unloved and uninked in my crafty stash, til now....
This card is for a friend of ours who's going for a wee surgical op in his, ahem, 'nether regions'!  Ta Da, suddenly this image is just perfect!  Do you like the addition of the wee saw brad?  It was nearly going to be a pair of scissors, but I thought a saw was even funnier!  I know, I'm evil.  But boy did I have a good laugh making this!

Paper pieced his robe, and cut a few stars with a Taylored Expressions die.  Sentiment / letters from Paper Smooches.
I've noticed that I'm always complaining in my blog about the weather, so from now on I'm looking for the positives!  Hmmm - hard to do when it didn't stop raining yesterday for even 5 minutes!  Well, at least I haven't had to bother watering my garden!  And the Six Mile Water was in very impressive form today ... usually its a nice ambient river, but today it was a total torrent.  A wee man (isn't there always a wee man no matter where you go who knows everything?!) told us the water had dropped about 4ft from yesterday!

CPS Anniversary Day 5

This card is for my brother's birthday - I must be stuck in a 'fishy' rut as its been a recurring theme recently, but he does have some gorgeous tropical fish and I'd originally got this stamp with him in mind!

Anyway, its Day 5 of the CPS challenges and I'm still keeping up!  Though I've taken HUGE liberties with their sketch today, so I hope it's still OK.  I had originally planned to put my balloon on a separate panel but then it looked too cluttered so I just cut it out and popped up on dimensionals.

Fishy balloon from High Hopes; cityscape from Hambo.  Coloured with pencils and stickles added to bubbles in balloon.

Dream Valley Challenge #18

ETA: I won at Crafty Cardmakers!
Oh dear, its been such a horrible day today... lashing rain ALL day long, and me with a wee hole in my roof!  The insurance guy is due on Wednesday so fingers crossed!

Sorry for the slight delay in getting my DT card done while I painted my living room... took my mind off our bedroom ceiling anyway!  Anyway, on to this week's challenge at Dream Valley and it's a nice easy one ...
Halloween
So get out your spooky craft stash and get creating ... you could win some gorgeous digis from Robyns Fetish Digital Stamps and More.  You've a fortnight to play along ... doesn't have to be a card - do a scrapbook LO, jewellery, anything!  Just as long as its Halloweeney (...is that a real word?)

Unfortunately I wasn't organised enough to use one of the Robyns Fetish images that the DT were lucky enough to get ... I've no printer and its been too hectic in work to think of crafty stuff!  So mine is a wee stamp from Hambo stamps and the banner from Practising Creativity.  The Magnolia spooky fence was a candy win.  Coloured my pumpkin with copics and then coloured my silver spider's web black to match my colour theme.

Dream Valley Challenge #14

Our new challenge at Dream Valley  is this gorgeous zingy colour combo .... Beautiful hot summery colours, but I thought these colours would also work well as autumn colours, so I inked up this wee image from Hambo stamps .... I hadn't even realised until I went to colour it that there was a wee boy hiding in the middle!

You've a fortnight to play along, pop over to Dream Valley Challenges to upload your card and have a wee look at the fab creations from the rest of the DTwhile you're there!  Oh and you could win $10 to spend at Stitchy Bear Stamps just for playing along.

Popped my image up on dimensionals, and coloured with a mixture of copics and promarkers.
I used the cloud template from Bev's blog and loved the effect when I chalked it up, much better than the one I was using before!

Hang in there!

Well I've had a lovely birthday ... thanks everyone for your kind wishes!  We did make it to the seaside, AND the sun shone AND it was beautifully warm ... well except for the ocean which was a tad nippy until your feet go numb with the cold!

These pics were taken up at the White Rocks at Portrush, I think there were maybe a dozen people on the entire beach (and its a HUGE beach!)
We also had Fish'n'chips sitting on a bench overlooking the sea (definately the nicest way to eat them!), followed by a yummy ice cream from Morellis.

I even squeezed in a bit of crafting time today ...

This wee card uses my new cityscape stamp from Hambo, an oldie stamp from Elzybells (now sadly closed), and the other side of a Tim Holtz die that I've never used before.   Used chalk to dab in some clouds, paper pieced my little parachute, added some stickles to the swirling leaves and some Smooch Illuminate to the windows of the buildings and a few accents on the bear.
Oh, and if you didn't hear my exciting High Hopes news, scroll down to the next post!
