A Bit Krafty :)

Hello lovelies and hope you are staying safe and well.
Oooh it's a funny time for us all isn't it.

So today I'm going to share not one, but three cards which I made using these ....

... lovely die set and stamps.

The die is the Deco Fleurs Layering Frame set, so lots of possibilities with this from your frames to layers. And it's a verso set so you can cut in and leave the design in your cardstock if you wish.

And the stamps are the Collective Sentiment set - beautiful fonts and something for every occasion here, so good value I think.

So the first card has a little secret ...

... the sentiment is hidden.
Now you could leave out the stamp and make your own to go in here if you wanted.

I actually used the largest outside edge die to create the base card here. I cut out 2 and then folded one of them over at the top edge by about 1cm. Then I glued the other die cut on top of it, then levelled  off the bottom a bit so that it would stand up nicely.

I also did a little bit of paper piecing on this one.
I do like kraft with pastels :)

So the next one is this one ...

...and again I used the same die and stamp set.
I also made some 'spotty' card by sloshing on some Nuvo drops lol.

And I made a rolled rose to sit on top of the ribbon.
I don't know why I do this but I 'll often top a bow with a button!! I just realised that I've done it on all three of these 😍

And finally the last one.
I know we hate doing sympathy cards but we do need them sometimes and  I thought this one would fit the bill. You could leave off the red Nuvo drops and button and use another colour.

So that's my triple does of cardage today. I've added my affiliate links below in case you want a little shop and hope this helps.

I'll see you soon with some more bits and bobs but till then, take care and stay healthy and above all, keeeeep crafting xxx

A Beautiful (Pink) Day

Hello lovelies and hope you are having a lovely weekend.

I don't know about you but there's something about pink and kraft that is so pretty, and when I first saw the dies I used here, I sort of knew that this was going to be a colour combi I would use.

This is a big card - the base is 8x8 so it really makes a statement.

But to be fair, it's just layering up really, so not too much work at all.

These are the dies in the set and you can make frames and layers, as well as your invertage and pyramage cards. It's a nice set I think.

I started out with the largest die - the one with the triangle bits in it, and I cut out 2 and offset them. Then I jsut layered up. I threaded some ribbon through the next biggest piece  that I'd cut in kraft - that took longer than putting the rest of it together lol.

Now the eagle eyes will have spotted that I didn't exactly clean the waste from sentiment very well!! But you know me, I'll still share it if there's mistakes etc.
Why don't I spot these things until I see them on here!!!

That middle bit from the white layer in would make a nice card just on its own.

A bit of ribbon and we are all done.

Here's a couple more cards I made with this set -

Right, I'm of for my dinner.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'll pop the affiliate links below.

Take care and stay safe and well xx

Three Little Pigs :)

Hi there lovely peeps and hope you are all OK today and enjoying your weekend :)

Now two posts in as many days???
I know, not like me at all but I am trying to turn over a new leaf and get back to being a more regular visitor to the land of Blog.

So today I thought I'd share a couple or three of the little carts that I made for Create & Craft (sorry I lied about the pigs lol). Everyone seems to like them and I know that some of you have been busy making these - I am totally thrilled about that, wooohoooo :)))))

If you have made any, please leave me a comment with a link to your blog so that I can come and have a nosey (thank you xx)

So here's the first one .....

 Picture-001w

.. and for this I used papers from a  Country Lady paper pad.

These papers are perfect for these carts because apart from being super pretty, they are just the right weight. Any thicker and they don't fold  and/or sit as well (and I've literally made hundreds of the little blighters over the years).

 Picture-001wheelsw

A bit of lace to go around the edge and plain and simple wheels with flowers for the centre. I used a 6 pointed flower punch and just snipped into the centre and stuck 2 petals together so that they had dimension.

And there's a whole lot of inkin' goin' on here - shock horror!!!!

 Picture-002w

Same on the top using a bigger punch with a smaller flower in the middle and a Memory Box Lavish Branch die to add a bit of greenery.
Like you do!!!

And now for something blue :)

 Picture-004w

Sorry for the fuzzies here - what a dreadful pic - but I'm still trying to get to grips with the new camera!!!

There's nothing quite like a bit of Beach Bliss and kraft card (Craftwork Cards is like no other - awesome stuff, the best I've used,  and you can see it here ).

 Picture-006w

Same idea with the flower and I made a little fringed middle bit using very expensive fringing scissors which I bought donkeys years ago and have never used, so a very good buy then (NOT!!).

Is it just me?????

 Picture-005w

I made the wheels using some good old Nesties and finished them off with the same punched flower but left flat and a bit of bling

And for the last one, time to get a bit festive .....

 Picture-008w

... and fuzzy again (so sorry!!)

This one was made using the beautimous Woodland Wishes papers (I sooo love this pad).

 Picture-011w

And is just added some Ivory Jute Mesh Ribbon, some red berries and a gorgeous Floribunda  Raspberry Ripple Rose, all from The Ribbon Girl. Plus a punched holly leaf and some Magnolia die cut leaves (soz I cannot remember what they are called and I'm too bone idle to get up off of my ass and go downstairs to look!!!).

So that's some of the carts I've made and please do let me know if you've made any cos I would love to see them, pleeeeze :)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, I'll see ya soon and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

A Krafty Old Bit of Paper Piecing :)

Hi there sweet peeps and hope you are all OK today.

It’s another cold one here today and it has been snowing earlier but nothing has really stuck.

Anyway, without further ado, let’s nip across the pond and join our friends over at the Simon Says Stamp challenge and this week our theme is

Paper Piecing

The DT are using products from Lily Bee this week -  you don't have to of course, but if you have them we would love to see them :)

As always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… for one lucky winner to spend …

… right here :)

So ….

Picture 001 copy

.. here’s what I did.

I did the kraft card thing again – love love love kraft card – and kept it fairly simple.

The papers are from the Lily Bee Head Over Heels paper pad I used them to paper piece the flower from a Hero Arts Clear Stamps To and From Petals stamp set (the leaves are also from that set).

The centre circle was made using one of the stamps from the Hero Arts Clear Stamps Many Dots set

    Picture 004 copy

A sweet little rolled rose made with paper from the Lily Bee paper pack plus a bit of string that was handy :)

Picture 005 copy

There’s only one thing better than a bit of Tilda Lace and that’s three lots of it  - and all of it inked :))))

The sentiment is from a Hero Arts Clear Stamps Live and Laugh stamp set.

I do quite like simple cards, even though they are sometimes a bit more tricky to make.

Right well that’s me off for today. Don't forget that there is my gorgeous giveaway which is open until next Tuesday – you can see it here if you haven't yet entered.

You gotta be innit to winnit!!!!

Just before I go (Colombo mode yet again lol),  I get quite a few emails asking about the way I do my pics so I thought it might be an idea if I do a little bit of a tutorial – keep watching and I’ll get onto it asap – hope that will help.

See you soon as soon sweet peeps and stay warm and safe.

Huggiest of hugs to all xxx

She’s At It Again!!!!!

Morning sweet peeps and hope you are OK today xxx

I’m so sorry but the obsessions with the kraft stuff is still in evidence - I can’t seem to stop using it!!!  It will stop one of these days and I will go back to the pink and girly stuff I’m sure, but I am enjoying using something a bit different at the mo.

Anyhoos it’s time to nip across to the The Ribbon Girl Blog for the last challenge of 2012 and of course we have a seasonal theme this month which is

Ho Ho Ho (or A Christmas Card)

There’s a £20 Gift Voucher (twenty pounds Sterling) up for grabs from the fabulous Ribbon Girl PLUS
a stamp of the winners choice from
Lili of the Valley :)

So …..

Picture 001 copy

... this is what I did.

Like I said,  the kraft card is still in favour and it’s another really easy peasy card to make for Christmas.

The bauble is a Memory Box die and I just added a couple of inked up Cheery Lynn  Francesca Border strips and some pretties from The Ribbon Girl.

Here, have a look in close up ……

Picture 005 copy

And these are the proddies I used ….

181730-rusty-bell-13mm             172459-teatowelbrown

13mm Rusty Bells,                   15mm Brown Tea Towel Stripe No 6,

     184423-mediumberries               134746-ivory-beaded-berries

Medium Red Berries,                                   Ivory Beaded Berries

It took not time at all to put it together really.
In fact, I may make a few of these to put in my card box. I have a few in there at the mo but nowhere near as many as I actually need.

Picture 002 copy

Picture 003 copy

So that’s me card all done.

I’m typing this on Saturday afternoon cos I know I won’t have time tomorrow as the horrors are in residence. So I don’t know who has won IACGMOOH, but I do know that it ain’t Dishy Dave, cry cry :(

Still, a Youtube clip is for life and not for one series, drool drool!!!

Now all we have to do is get through Strictly and the X factor!!

I am not being horrible (well I am a bit I suppose) but I cannot bear Christopher Maloney. The very sight of him on the telly makes me knuckles go white. His little Nanna is so sweet but he seems to behave like a spoilt brat and I would love to give him a slap or two. He hasn’t got a reputation as a diva for nothing and if there is one thing I cannot stand it is a diva. Get over yourself mate would be my advise. He tries to come across as humble but  I think it’s a bit of an act. He can sing to be fair but the judges are right – he sounds a  bit dated sometimes.

I like listening to James but not always watching him (no doubt the wouldn't like doing either re me lol ). He has one hell of a talent though and he has soul coming out of his ears . I even downloaded SOS last week cos it was amazing.

Here -  have a butchers if you missed it ….

… awesome :)
I think the final will be between him and Jahmene

Right enough of this waffle malarkey,  I better go.>br>I have just been and gotten me some of those really useful boxes so I am now going to try and organise the craft room yet again as it has been a bit neglected of late. Sadly it wont do itself so I better make a start. And I have to do the prep for Monday’s card club as well so it’s all go here  at the mo.
Enjoy your Sunday peeps and if you get a sec, nip over to the challenge because there is some seriously fabulous stuff on there.
See you in the week and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Wass Goin’ On ‘Ere!!!!!

Picture 006 copy

Hi there loveliest of peeps and hope you are all OK on this rather nice Autumnal day today :)

That’s the good news.

The bad news is that we are in for more rain next week, boooo hisssssss.

Ok today I have a card to share which  I made with some stuff I got recently at the NEC. It’s not at all like my usual stuff but I have to say that I do kind of like it.

I got some natural type bits and bobs from Anna Marie Designs ….

Picture 001 copy

… and made this card up which is quite similar to the one that she had on display which I fell in love with.

I’ve done it a little bit differently as I used a kraft card base but the layout and some of the products used are the same, so a shameless bit of casing here!!!

I used Shabby Flowers, natural green moss and  natural jute. Other stuff I used is a Cheery Lynn  Francesca Border die which I got from Lili of The Valley but you can also get them from Jan at Sir Stampalot. And a Super Duper  Holly Punch which I also got from Sir Stampalot

Picture 004 copy

I made a rolled rose out of some red Bazzill to sit on the top cos I love red with kraft card :)

Picture 005 copy

I’ve been at the ink on the edges again!!!

Picture 002 copy

Picture 003 copy

As I got a big bag of stuff from there, you can be sure that there will be more stuff like this on here before to long!!!!

I do like natural type stuff even though I am not always sure what to do with it (you don't have to answer that one lol). So I will have to have a fiddle and see what I come up with, It’s nice to try something new isn't it – stops you getting into a crafty rut.

Well Dishy Dave is still in the jungle but ohh it was a close call last night. Instead,  OK Ya Hugo went. I think both of them were a bit gutted to be in the bottom two but you pays yer money, you takes yer chance and all that.  I am so into Corrie as well at the mo – poor Tyrone. What a good story line this is and I am on tenterhooks every time evil Kirsty comes on the screen, waiting for her to blow a gasket!!! Where’s it going to end? Ohh fo sho in tears for someone, but I wonder who??????

I am pleased to report that we are now officially a leaf free zone as his Lordship has finished the leaf picking up job at last. He is now power hosing anything that doesn't move so I am not sitting still for too long in case he starts on me! He still cannot play tennis cos of his  foot and so he is quite frankly bored out of his skull!!! So he is out in the garden doing any jobs he can find, bless him until he is back at work on 17th December.

Talking of work, some of us aren't so lucky to be off so I better get back to it. I’ll see you soon as soon – maybe tomorrow if I manage to make something else tonight. I’m trying to make a start on my Christmas cards a bit earlier this year so that there isn't the usual last minute panic or even worse, I have to actually BUY some (shock horror!!).

Have the fabbiest of days and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

And Now For Something Completely Different!!!

Hi there peeps and hope that you are all OK :)

Before we go any further, can I just wish all of our American friends a very happy 4th July xxx

Look at that magnificent Bald Eagle – truly stunning. Have the most fabulous day my lovely friends:)

And it’s to America we go today for our weekly catch up with the Simon Says Stamp Challenge team and our theme  this week is

TAGS or ATC's
you can add a tag or an ATC to a card or project too :-)

The design team have created some awesome projects for your inspiration, we are all featuring

Tim Holtz Products
(calm down Kath, hahahaaaaaxxx)

You don't have to use them to join in but as most people have something Tim-ish,  we would love to see them used :-)

Of course, you don’t have to but if you have them, why not have a fiddle :)

As always, our Heidi is giving away a …..

... which our lucky winner will get to spend in the store ….

… right here :)

So ….

Picture 001 copy

… this is what I did and I have to say that I am the world’s worse at doing tags :(

But I had a go and however it has turned out (OK I think) I really enjoyed making this.

The paper I used to cover the tag  is Cosmo Cricket BABY JANE MINI DECK 6" Paper Pack  and the dies I used are of course Sir Tim’s and they are Tattered Florals and Tim Holtz Sizzix Die SCALLOPS On The Edge Alterations dies.

I love how they look using kraft card.

Picture 003 copy

The sentiment is done with SAFMAT Self-Adhesive Printing Film – you can just see it on this pic but IRL it’s virtually invisible.

bloom

Love this bloom – they are fab shapes, these petals.

Really funkity funky :)

Picture 002 copy

So that’s my tag all done and if you get a sec, do nip over and check it all out - we would love to see what you do with this challenge.

I’ll be back soon as soon (hopefully tomorrow) so until then, have a fab day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx
