Birthday part 2.

Today (Sunday) my son and his wife, plus Grand daughter Charlotte came around for cake. Laura made a sponge, well she made 3 sponges because the first ones just didn't rise properly and there wouldn't have been enough for 6 of us plus greedy 2 year old. It wasn't Laura's fault, I think my oven which is always slow, has developed a fault. Anyway when we put the layers together with jam and whipped fresh cream the taste was really good, so all was well in the end. Sadly our resident photographers neglected to immortalise it digitally. So no picture.

My son finally brought my card and Charlotte had made me one as well. I would scan it in, but I still don't have a working scanner (thank you so much Hewlett Packard).
They also brought the second part of my pressie. A tape deck to copy cassettes to MP3. I need this, more than the record one they got me at Christmas. I cant be bothered to archive over 400 albums, but I so want to get rid of my old tapes.

Anyway, pleasant afternoon. Charlotte was giving cuddles freely and giggling a lot.
We will see her again on Tuesday when her mummy goes for a check up regarding her sibling to be.
