The visit that never was....or

So near yet so far.
On Sunday a friend from Utah who won a trip to London arrived in the City.
However, having had severe delays on the flights, American Airlines managed to lose their luggage.
I volunteered to try to sort if for them, as they couldn't get the phone to work in the hotel, and had no internet access. Thankfully about 5 calls and an hour or two sorted it out. Not before I found out the luggage was on its way to the wrong hotel. How unlucky can you be....Anyway a really nice fella contacted the driver and re routed him to the correct hotel.
But, sadly this wasted a lot of time and didn't work for us getting together.
Sad because we were really looking forward to meeting up.
Well now the chance is gone, as they flew home early Wednesday morning.It was literally a flying trip.
So we are left with what might have been and the hopes that next time, it isnt so frantic, fraught with problems or brief.
I just hope the trip home was a lot less eventful.
At least we have something to look forward to!!!!
