It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC162.
But first, Happy Canada Day to all my Canadian friends!!! I found a short video of the Canadian National CANthem (they call it that because the entire song is done with Molson Canadian beer cans and bottles). Seriously, you have to check it out!! It's impressive (even if you're not Canadian)! :-)
Ok, on to my card...This is yet another fabulous sketch from our talented leader and I know I'll be going back to it again and again because it fits with soooo many different images!!
I used a new set from MFT called Clearly Sentimental about Audrey Hepburn. It'll be available on July 3rd in the MFT Boutique as the Triple Scoop set for July (that means it's free with a qualifying $60 order). I chose patterned papers from the Echo Park So Happy Together 6x6 paper pad, paired with Fossil, Blue Raspberry, Razzleberry and yellow card stocks. I used the Circle 1 STAX and Circle 2 STAX Die-namics to cut out the focal point and added the little scallopy details thanks to my Small Scallop Border Die-namics.
For the flower I pulled out my Pretty Posies Die-namics and used all three sizes. I love how the light pink patterned paper pops against the Razzleberry. I used the Royal Leaves Die-namics to cut the leaves from Sour Apple felt. I yellow rhinestone brad and some Sour Apple Grosgrain ribbon finish off the front of the card.
On the inside I used a sentiment from All Smiles, which I think coordinates nicely with the sentiment on the front.
I hope you'll play along with this week's sketch and link your creation on Karen's blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers created.
