Heart of Chocolate

I'm playing along with this week's Bellariffic Friday challenge which was a sketch. Fun!!

I don't usually create too many Valentine cards but Uptown Girl Catherine Nibbling Chocolate spoke to me for this sketch. I just realized I technically flipped the sketch, because I wanted the telephone in the patterned paper going in the proper direction.

I had fun paper piecing her dress with one of the patterns from the Echo Park Love Story collection and you probably can't see the sparkle on her shoe and the black ruffle of her dress, but I coloured them with a black Spica glitter pen.

Hop over to Bloggabella to see this week's participants and to get the next challenge!

Create Your Own Sunshine

I'm playing along with this week's Bellariffic Friday challenge which is a sketch. I do love me a good sketch!!!

It took me a little while to decide just what I wanted to do with the sketch but once I figured it out, the card came together pretty quickly. The lovely image I decided to use is Uptown Girl Sunny is Stylish. I adore the Uptowns from Stamping Bella!!!

I coloured her with coipc markers then fussy cut around her and adhered her with foam tape. I added a couple coats of clear glaze pen to her glasses and some sparkle to the ruffles and buttons thanks to my Wink of Stella pen. Maybe you can see the details in this shot.

I used my swiss dots embossing folder on the background layer and stitched it into place. The patterned paper is from the My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Thing Honey collection.

Enjoy the Little Things

I'm playing along today with the Stamping Bella Bellarific Friday Challenge. It's an inspiration photo.

I've had Tallulah and her TUTU for quite a while now (ahem, since she was released! ahem) so it was high time to ink her up.

I was inspired by the lanterns in the photo. They reminded me first of balloons, then of a sunset or sunrise, and that's how my card came to be. Here's the photo.

I added sparkle to her tutu thanks to a couple of Spica glitter pens, but it's difficult to see in the photo. I fussy cut around Tallulah then mounted her on foam tape for a little dimension.

On the inside I simply added a strip of card stock and stamped the sentiment, which is included with Tallulah and her TUTU. Isn't this sentiment the best!

Hop over to Blogabella to see the rest of this week's submissions.
