Sweet Sunday Candy Cane

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC243.

Can you believe it's already November? I'm so behind on my Christmas cards that I'm probably going to have to do a little mass production...much to my chagrin. BUT, for this week I have card #10 for Project Christmas 2014.

I ordered some fun new stamps from Stamping Bella's latest release and I could. not. wait. to ink up this adorable Christmas Mouse. He just cracks me up!!! I remember when my brothers and I used to try and fit the mini candy canes in our mouth just like this. Ahhhh the memories. :-)

I coloured him with copic markers and basically followed the shading on the new Bella packaging...sweet! The bell has a little sparkle on it thanks to my yellow Spica glitter pen.

I used my stamp positioner to perfectly place the sentiment on the chat bubble. The patterned paper is Authentique Joyous collection.

I hope you'll play along with this week's sketch and link your creation on Karen's blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers created.

Sweet Sunday Birthday

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC231.

This sketch is perfect for so many images but I chose Uptown Girl Posh has a Present from Stamping Bella. I decided to make a square card though since the image is on the larger size.

This card is for one of my very good friends and she loves teal and green so I went with that for the main colours. The patterned papers are from the Echo Park Here and Now collection.

Can you see the sparkle on her dress and the presents? I used three colours of Spica glitter pens.

I hope you'll play along with this week's sketch and link your creation on Karen's blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers created.

Sweet Sunday Charlie by the Chimney

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC219.

So I know the title of my post has Christmas in it, but first let me wish all the moms out there Happy Mother's Day! I hope your day is full of love and joy, with plenty of time for you.

In celebration of Mother's Day, I made a Christmas card! Ha!! This is card #5 for Project Christmas 2014.

I used the super fun Uptown Girl Charlie waits by the Chimney from Stamping Bella. She was so much fun to colour up using my copic markers. I added sparkle to her skirt with some glitter and I gave her an appletini while she waits by the chimney.

The image panel is mounted on foam tape for a little dimension. I didn't add any other details because I think this image stands out nicely just as it is.

I hope you'll play along with this week's sketch and link your creation on Karen's blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers created.
