So are you ready for day to of sneak peeks with Taylored Expressions?!? Yesterday the Baker's Dozen took you to the beach, well today we're going to the chapel with Moka Charlotte, Moka Jack, You're Engaged à la carte, and Sweet Bliss.

The Moka collection, illustrated by Nancy McKinney, continues to grow with Charlotte and Jack. They make the sweetest couple!! Each set comes in deeply etched rubber on EZ Mount, on a sturdy 3" x 5.5" full colour panel, all trimmed and ready to use with an acrylic block.

I stamped Charlotte with Memento Tuxedo Black onto choice snow white and coloured her with copics. She was pretty quick to colour since I left the dress and veil white, although I did go over the veil with my clear Spica glitter pen, but it doesn't really show in the photo. I used my hearts impression plate on the pink oval to add a little texture and the patterned papers are from the Girls Paperie Vintage Whimsy collection. The card layout is CPS219.

I didn't want to take the focus off Charlotte on the front of the card, so I decorated the inside and added the sentiment there.

This next card uses the newest Cuppie stamp set, Sweet Bliss, illustrated by Jessie Olson. Did you ever imagine Cuppie would get married?!? Well this set is perfect for wedding or engagement cards, or even anniversary celebrations.

I couldn't stop singing "Going to the Chapel and we're Gonna get Married" when I looked at this set so I just had to use the chapel. It's stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow white and coloured with copics. I cut it out with rectangle Nestabilities and added a little grass near the edges with my copic multiliner.

The patterned paper is from the My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky collection and I paired it with rich razzleberry and sage shadow. I added a sweet felt cloud, cut out with my cloud duo die, and a black Twinkle for the door handle.

Be sure to hop around and check out all the Baker's Dozen creations.

See you here tomorrow for day three of sneak peeks!

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek Day 3

Today the Baker's Dozen has three new sets to share: Kid at Heart, Sweet Friends, and A Little Love. All the new products will be available at Taylored Expressions tomorrow, Friday, January 7th at 8am PST.

Let's start with Kid at Heart, shall we? This is a fun set with sweet little images that remind me of childhood toys. All Taylored Expressions stamp sets are made of high quality rubber so these bold images stamp beautifully. There's also a frame image that coordinates with the Take Note Die 3.

As soon as I saw the set I knew I had to use the airplane...and I'm pretty sure that came as no surprise to the rest of the Baker's Dozen! LOL!! I decided to whip up a little Valentine treat box for hubby and I knew the test tubes would be the perfect starting point.

All I did was make a box to fit around 5 test tubes, using papers and embellishments from the Valentine Project Pantry. I stamped the frame image with Colorbox pink pastel and cut it out with the Take Note die 3. Then I used my stamp-a-majig to place the sentiment and stamped the airplane with Colorbox Warm Red. The plane is cut out and popped on foam tape. My medium scallop border die came in handy to create the decorative scallop edge and I added clear rhinestones (from my stash) for a little bling. Finally I finished the box with a perfect little bow, thanks to my bow easy, and a heart pin from the Valentine Project Pantry.

Next up is Sweet Friends. This set is full of sweet little friends for Cuppie to hang out with in the bake shop. And the sentiments are perfectly adorable too!

I used my Make a Wish project pantry to create a fun birthday card to add to my stash. I started by stamping the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black onto orange cardstock then cut it out with my new Frame It Up die. I adore the size and shape of this die...it's so versatile!!! Then I stamped the cake, coloured it with copics and cut it out. The flower is popped for a little dimension and I added a Twinkle to the center, then gave the icing some sparkle with a little glitter. The patterned paper is pretty busy so I opted not to add other embellishments, aside from the pleated ribbon.

Now let's go see what the rest of the Baker's Dozen created with these new sets.

See you tomorrow for release day!

Cinema Saturday Friends

I played along with a fun challenge for my card today, the Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge. This is the 100th challenge and they're giving away prizes from some wonderful stamp companies including Taylored Expressions. The inspiration for the 100th challenge is the movie Pride and Prejudice and I went with the friendship story line.

I stamped the Cuppie friends image from Downtown Diva by Taylored Expressions with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White and coloured it with copics. I paper pieced the two liners and popped the heart on foam tape for dimension. The patterned papers are from my My Mind's Eye Fine and Dandy Tickled Pink 6x6 pad and I paired them with suede brown dark and blush red medium. One of the challenge rules is to use some lace, so I added white lace under the brown ribbon, and of course plenty of stitching. The layout is SC306.

If you're looking for a challenge this week I hope you'll consider the Cinema Saturday 100th Creative Challenge. There are great prizes to be had!!! Read all about the challenge and get some inspiration on the Cinema Saturday Blog.

Blast from Christmas Past Blog Hop with Taylored Expressions

Happy Friday!!! It's a perfect day for a little Blast from the Past blog hop with Taylored Expressions. This month the focus was past holiday sets. Woo hoo...another Christmas card to add to my stash.

I used FTL112 from the Clean and Simple blog for the layout. I had visions of a white winter wonderland for this card...it didn't turn out exactly as I'd planned, but I'm still quite happy with it. I used an image and sentiment from Home Sweet Home. The sentiment made me think of felt...it feels so nice and cozy...so I decided to layer Mr. Snowman Cuppie on a piece of white felt that I cut out with my beaded circle Nestabilities. Cuppie is coloured with copics and I added clear rhinestones around the outside for some bling. To give the felt a little more stability I backed it with a piece of Choice Snow White that I cut out with the same nestie shape. At first I was going to use white ribbon, and make all the layers white, but I decided to add blue for the sky then I remembered my red Baker's twine and thought that tied in nicely with his red scarf.

I hope you're getting plenty of ideas for holiday cards as you hop along today. Seeing all these cards just makes me smile. After all, it's getting closer and closer to the most wonderful time of the year!!!  :-)

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks Day 1-Destination Cuppie

It's that time of the month...time for sneak peeks of new stamps from Taylored Expressions. All the new images will be available in the TE Store on Thursday, July 8th. The Baker's Dozen has plenty to share so keep your eye out for new Cuppie images as well as a new Feelin' Groovy set.

Today I'm sharing two Destination Cuppie A-la-carte images, Destination San Francisco and Destination Hollywood. I love that Cuppie has travelled the US to four of the most recognizable landmarks in well-known cities (you'll see the other cities as you hop along to the Baker's Dozen blogs).

Let's start with Destination San Francisco...ah, the Golden Gate Bridge...I was just there in May and I think I have the photo of Andrew in the exact same pose at Cuppie! Hmmm...wonder if Cuppie was there when we were?!? LOL!

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream and coloured it with Copics. The image is cut out with Labels Nestabilities. I added orange and yellow sparkle with my Spica glitter pens and popped Cuppie on foam tape for dimension. I used patterned papers from my October Afternoon Fly a Kite 8x8 pad and layered the brown polka dot piece onto Papaya Puree Dark and stamped the sentiment "I left my heart in San Francisco" directly onto the orange patterned paper (it's a little hard to see in the photo). The caribbean satin ribbon was the perfect touch to tie in the water flowing under the bridge.

Then I travelled with Cuppie down the California coast...Destination Hollywood!!! Doesn't Cuppie look like the perfect beach bum with his shades! Love this little scene of the Hollywood hills.

I stamped this image onto Choice Snow White this time because I wanted the Hollywood letters to be white and I knew I'd be colouring the rest of the image with copics, right to the edges. I added a little blue sparkle to Cuppie with my Spica glitter pen the gave his glasses a coating of clear glaze pen. For the sand I filled the area with dots in two shades of brown then went over it with the lighter shade to blend a little...I like the dotted effect. The clouds are white Liquid Applique covered with glitter then puffed up with my heat tool.

The green patterned paper is also from October Afternoon's Fly a Kite 8x8 pad and I paired with with Suede Brown Dark and Frosted Teal. I used the two smallest sizes of my Stars Five Nestabilities and cut the fun accent out of Intense Orange and Sunflowers Medium. The main image, Cuppie and stars are popped on foam tape for dimension.

I hope you enjoyed travelling through California with Cuppie and I, but now let's go see what the rest of the Baker's Dozen has created.

Tissues Tissues Everywhere...

Welcome to the Blast from the Past blog hop sponsored by Taylored Expressions!!! Hopefully you started at Taylor's blog and have seen fabulous creations as you've been hopping along.

For my card I just couldn't decide which set to use...they're all so fabulous...decisions, decisions, decisions....but I ended up using Doctor's Orders and pairing it with SC285.

You know what's really bizarre though, as I was typing up this post I realized that I used the exact same stamp set for last month's Blast from the Past blog hop!!! How freaky is that!!! I pulled out my In the Kitchen Project Pantry for all the papers and added in a smidge of kraft.  Because of the kraft cardstock, my card qualifies for my bud Jeanie's That's Krafty Thursday #31 challenge. The tissue boxes are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with copics. I added a little sparkle with my orange Spica glitter pen then cut out the tissue boxes and popped them on foam tape. I used my deco scallop border punch on a strip of kraft and added Crystal Twinkles for some sparkle.

There's plenty more eye candy to see on the hop so get going...happy hopping!!!

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek Day 2-Udderly Sweet

Today the Baker's Dozen is sharing sneak peeks of a few new sets and I'm lucky to be sharing Cuppie's newest adventure on the farm. This Udderly Sweet set will be available at Taylored Expressions on Friday, June 4th. All the supplies I used are from the Udderly Sweet Project Pantry kit.

I stamped Cuppie with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream (included in the Udderly Sweet Project Pantry) a couple of times than again onto the patterned paper so I could paper piece the tractor. The rest of the image is coloured with copics. I added a little shimmer to the side mirror with my clear Spica glitter pen then gave the lights a glassy look with my clear Glaze pen. The image is attached with foam tape to the blue rectangle I cut out with Nestabilities.

I do my best to get cards out on time for birthdays but life sometimes gets in the way so I know this belated birthday card will come in handy one day soon. I used Taylor's Sketch Challenge TESC115 for the layout. The fun shaped brads and colourful ribbons are included in the Udderly Sweet Project Pantry. The only other thing I added was two Crystal Twinkles to dot the exclamation points.

As you hop along today you'll see samples using Udderly Sweet and also samples using two new Whimsical Wishes sets called Summer Afternoon and Care & Comfort. Happy Hopping!

Center of Attention Product Spotlight - Stickers

It's time for this month's Product Focus from Taylored Expressions. Taylor asked us to play with different stickers that are available in the TE Store...fun!

I chose to use the Thrift Shop Mini Market Ledger alphabet for my card and I thought I'd use it a little differently than simply spelling out a sentiment.

I decided to pair the stickers with Cuppie in the Kitchen to create a fun friendship card. I used the letters to spell out words that are associated with friendship then I proceeded to partially cover them up with the image...doh! I like how this creates a custom "patterned paper" look while still leaving the card wide open for a sentiment. You could also use this same technique on a scrapbook page and spell out names of family members, or places you visited on vacation, or emotions that a certain photo evokes...the possibilities are endless!

Cuppie was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream and coloured with copics. I use the floral pattern to paper piece the apron and also to create the flower embellishment. I used my big scallop circle Nestabilities to layer the Cuppie image and also to create the flower and I added a fun black Glitter Candy Dot to the center of the flower to tie in the black patterned paper.

I used the new round binding edge punch on the blush red dark cardstock to make it look like the letter panel had been pulled out of a notebook. The patterned papers are from the coordinating Thrift Shop 8x8 pad. I love coordinating items...makes life so much easier when you sit down to create! The sentiment is cut out using the largest of the Labels Trio dies and I added plenty of stitching all around the card for a homey feel.

Also, I thought I'd show you all the letters I have left after creating this card, so you can see for yourself the value and mileage you get from stickers. I could have altered the stickers too, if I'd thought about it before now...LOL!...like sponging them with Desert Sand for a little depth. I guess I'll save that trick for next time though!

Good news!!! Since stickers are the product focus this month, they'll be on sale for 15% off from now until May 23rd. You'll find the entire sticker section right HERE in the TE Store.

Be sure to hop over to the other Baker's Dozen gals for more inspiration using stickers.

TE Blast from the Past Blog Hop

Welcome to the Blast from the Past blog hop sponsored by Taylored Expressions! I'm super excited to see what everyone created using their much loved stamp sets that were released in either 2008 or 2009. I used Doctor's Orders for my card which I made for one of the neighbourhood girls who had an unexpected stay in the hospital. This set is one of my fave go-to sets for get well cards because really, who could resist sweet Cuppie? He makes me smile every time I look at him!

I did plenty of paper piecing and I thought I'd share a photo tutorial at the end of just how I like to paper piece in order to keep the proper perspective of an image. Everything is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream then I coloured Cuppie, the book and the headboard with copics. The rest is paper pieced with fun patterns from My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary.

The image is cut out with rectangle Nestabilities and I layered it onto a big scallop rectangle of Prism suede brown dark. For interest I added plenty of stitching and some Crystal Twinkles along the intense pink scallop border.

Now here's the tutorial showing the way I like to paper piece......it's a little labour intensive but definitely worth the end result.

This shows all the layers cut out and ready to be adhered together...

I cut away the headboard on the green layer...

I cut away the bottom fitted sheet on this pink layer...

I cut away the pillows and coloured Cuppie and the wood feet on the bed on this Buttercream layer...

I cut away Cuppie and the feet on the bed on this pink layer...

For the last layer I added the green flat sheet and the coloured book...

There's plenty more eye candy along the hop so be sure to visit everyone's blog, and have a Blast while you're hopping!!!
