Make a Wish

I made another birthday card using Birthday Sentiments from My Favorite Things. I can't seem to put this set down. It's perfect for clean and simple cards like this one. I went masculine again with my favorite boy colours and the Unscripted Sketch 205 was a perfect masculine layout.

I started with a Sweet Tooth card base then added a layer of Blu Raspberry and Kraft.

I used the Chevron Stripes Die-namics to cut out chevrons from Orange Fizz, Lemon Drop, and Sour Apple cardtsock then stitched them in place on the Kraft layer.

For the sentiment I used the Circle 1 STAX Die-namics to cut out the Smooth White circle and the Orange Fizz bit at the bottom. I created a perfect Blu Raspberry layer thanks to the Circle 2 STAX Die-namics. I used the coordinating Blu Raspberry Premium Dye Ink to stamp the sentiment from Birthday Sentiments, then I stamped it again with Lemon Drop Premium Dye Ink. I cut out the candle "i", adhered it with foam tape then added some Star Dust Stickles for the perfect amount of sparkle.

Merry Christmas

I'm still on a clean and simple kick (and loving it) and when I saw this week's Unscripted Sketch #197 I knew I could do something with it. I didn't quite know exactly what until I printed the sketch and put it down on my stamp table. But I put it down upside down by mistake, and when I looked at it again I immediately saw a belt along the bottom. And who has the most famous belt of all? That would be the jolly man with the most famous reindeer of all.  :-)

This Santa themed card was super quick and easy to create with supplies from My Favorite Things. I started with a card base of Sweet Tooth then cut a layer of Wild Cherry. Next I created the buckle using my Square 1 STAX Die-namics. I used the two smallest sizes to cut out the silver square, then I trimmed a strip of Black Licorice cardstock to the proper width for the belt.

The sentiment is from the Christmas Ornaments stamp set and I stamped it using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink. I mounted the red panel on foam tape for a little dimension.

On the inside I kept it simple by stamping a sentiment from Clearly Sentimental about Christmas.

This is card #3 for Project Christmas 2013, and I may even think about whipping up a few more of these since it was super quick and it's nice and flat for mailing...bonus!

Hello, My Pretty

Happy Thursday! I have a Halloween cutie to share today.

I used Pure Innocence Little Witch from My Favorite Things for my card today and paper pieced her dress and hat. The patterned papers are from the Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor collection. I had a vision of her using her broom stick to stir a cauldron of witch's brew and the Halloween Charms Die-namics were perfect for cutting out the cauldron. I added a little slit and tucked the broom stick in behind the cauldron. The text circle was cut out using the Circle 1 STAX Die-namics and the Picket Fence Die-namics was perfect for the Kraft fence detail. The layout is Unscripted Sketches #177, or at least it started out that way, then I flipped the sketch and moved the circle and changed the place of the accent to fit where I wanted my cauldron. LOL!

On the inside I stamped another sentiment from the set and added the little witch stamped in Memento Potter's Clay. The card stock layers are Sour Apple and Black Licorice on a Sweet Tooth card base.
