I passed these out yesterday!  I did 4 colorways of the Elegant Tree ornaments by Mary Waldsmith....the backing is a red stripe and they all have the Made with Love and 2018 charm.

Across the top!

I am all across the top of the boreder!

Back to stitching!

December has flown by and I have hardly had any stitching time!  I finally worked more on the top border!

I have stitched more across the top and added one section of the pine needles.

I have started the border across the top amidst the flurry of all the Christmas preparations!

I am back to stitching and I have finished the left border!  I am moving back up to the top and will work across that for a while.

Good afternoon members. I hope everyone had a wonder Thanksgiving with your families and friends.

I am posting today, with permission of the administrators, because I uploaded to the FaceBook page of the Grand River Valley Chapter of ANG, over 135 photos of canvases being offered for sale from the husband of one of our members who lost her battle with ovarian cancer this past January. Her husband will DONATE ALL PROCEEDS to the Michigan Ovarian Alliance. Prices are not listed. If you are interested please leave a message on the website and I will respond. The canvases are in pristine condition. Some have threads, a few were started (with threads). Our members had first choice of the over 180 canvases. We have shared the post with needlepoint friends and now posting with this wonderful group.

First Christmas finishing

I have another one out of the finishing pile!  I forgot to mention on the Auburn one that I am adding charms on the back of each.  One says made with love and the other is 2018.

The border is growing.  I am trying to decide if I want to work all of the border before stitching in any of the greens.

Light Candles is by Machelle Somerville, #MS070, that has an 11 x 16 design area on 18 count.  This is going on the stretcher bars!

Background and....

I stitched the background with two shades of Splendor using 3 strands in basket weave.  Then I started on the face using Kreinik #8 5760 in Diagonal Mosaic.  His cheeks are Silk Lame Braid as is his smile.

Finished

Auburn by Mindy is stitched!  Ready to be finished!  But not today!

Zipping along

I finished all the shading colors in the middle band and at the bottom.  More black to do at the bottom!

Top third

The top third is done and I am working on the Auburn band and the boxes below it.

Silk Lame Braid

So far I have stitched the top third black area.  I am working from right to left all in basketweave to fill the design.  I used all Silk Lame' Braid 18 so far.  This is a design painted by Mindy and is a 4 inch round.

Another ornament

This ornament is by Mindy and is next up on the stretcher bars.

Sequins and bead

I added white beads scattered around and some blue snowflake sequins.  This is done!

Almost there!

I finished the sky, outlined the body, finished the shading around the snow at the bottom....just a little bit more to go!

Lots more done

So the ornaments are stitched, the rest of the fring is on the scarf, the white portion of the snow is done, lst Christmas is stitched.   And.....the thread came in the mail, so I can get busy on finishing this up!

A face and a body

Added the facial touches and stitched the body!

Progress

He has a scarf and a hat with a pompom on top and fringe on part of the scarf.  The mittens are stitched too.  More fring will be added after I finish the body.

More background

I worked on background again.  I am going to run out of thread so I placed an order today.  I can work on other areas while I wait for it come in.

First Christmas

First Christmas is by Pepperberry Designs, EG01 and is on 18 count.  I have started the background with Horizontal Interlocking Gobelin using Petite Sparkle Braid 54.  I am covering the snowflakes as I have another idea for the later on.  I am also changing colors on some things!

The Sally's

Girly Girl Bags!

Girly Girls bag canvases by Machelle Somerville. I stitched the large bag and Machelle stitched the small one. Finishing by West Coast Finishing. These are on the way to Dallas for the show and the stitch guide is also now available with the canvas or from me.

Eterna is finished!

I have been busy stitching lately, but on projects that are a secret for a while!  You will see them when I can show you, but for now I  finished Eterna!  The final rows of ribbon are couched in place all around the outside edges.  The pattern calls for five rows of basket weave around the outside edge.  I am not adding that as I like the design as is!  

All the squares

The second skeins of the Cygnet arrived and I was able to finish all of the squares!

Pattern number eight is done.  More squares and edges to do!

Madam Butterfly framed
