Back at it
I have almost all of the scales done! Just a bit more in the last orange color and the scales will be finished. I have not been able to stitch as much as usual but am pleased with the progress so far.

Lots of scales
I am making great progress on the fish scales and have completed the top and second yellow band, both of the pink bands and started the center yellow by the eye. Oh, you noticed you can still see the blue and yellow lines in the pink bands? I will get to them as this is all going very quickly!

Starting the fish
I started the fish and am using the Trebizond, off the spool, to create the Hungarian stitches to look like scales. This goes a lot quicker than the basketweave and is adding the shine that she needs!

Woohoo!
All of the blue basketweave is done! I have not put the beads on any but the little spot on the top left one. I will do them much later to avoid catching my threads on them. On to the next area!

And so....
Number 6 is done and only two to go! I like how these bands are going to be the easy on the eye area, but with just a bit of glitz when all the beads will be on there.

Five of the blue bars are filled in with the Splendor and the Basketweave stitch. Just a few more to go!

Another one framed.
The framer has finished A Different View and it looks better than my photo shows. A great turquoise mat, a silver filet, and dark blue green mat and then a wonderful silver frame. Below, is a closeup of the corner so you see the detail a bit better.

Second column
I have started the right hand column completing the top solid box and line section above it. I am working on the lines right below and am almost done with the second set.

Day two
I finished the Splendor on the left side of the blue bands. As I stitch about 2 hours every day, I figure I will have all the other blue sections stitched in 6 settings. I am going to wait and do beads a few at a time as I am much slower at beads! LOL

Starting in!
I am working the back designs with Splendor and have completed one of them using Splendor is a dark blue. I also started adding Sundance beads for the eyelash design. These are going to take some time to stitch each of the boxes, so bear with me! LOL

Pulling fibers
I have pulled most of the fibers I will be using on Barbados. On the left are all the colors of Trebizond. The center has some DMC memory wire and Splendor. On the right are some of the Silk Lame Braid Petite with more of those to pick up as well as some crystals, chenille and Accentuate. I am now off to pick some stitches!

Finished!
The Duke of Edinburgh is now a finished tassel! Overall length is 8.5 inches. I finished it by sewing the fourth side to the first side. Then I glued it to the wooden base and added black gimp at the top and down the sides. Last I added the black fringe around the bottom and put a strip of gold on top of that.

Star Waffle ornament
I started this 1.75 square ornament by using Sparkle Braid in the lavender/purple. I did a border in tent stitch using Flair and the skip tent stitch in more Sparkle Braid. I am working a bunch of little designs on some 18 count to create ornaments later. I am just making them up as I go along! LOL

Tassel progress
I have stitched the four panels together so far and now have to stitch them into the circle connecting them all. I also attached rattail through the wooden tassel base after having DH drill a hole all the way through. I then glued gold gimp at the very top.

Blue Mistake
This is a 1.75 square design on 18 count that I stitched. The center is the Mistake stitch worked in 3 shades of Neon Rays. I then used Flair to do the tent stitch all around the outside. Next I put Smyrna Crosses in around the outside edge using Sparkle Braid. Last, I did a Ray stitch in the corners using Silk Lame Braid Petite in white and silver. I will finish it into an ornament!

All 4 panels
All four of the panels are stitched! I need to pick up some supplies--upholstery trims--to do the rest of the finishing on this. In other words, I have to go shopping! LOL
