My blogging friend Danni is celebrating her birthday by reviving her Flutter By challenge with a one time blog hop (each project must include a butterfly or fairy). For a chance to win one of two gift certificates please post a comment on each of the blogs along the way. You have until Monday, September 7 to comment; winners of the two gift certificates will be announced on September 8.
If you arrived here from Kristie's blog you are in the right place. If not then start at the beginning with Danni's blog. Also, the full hop list is at the bottom of this post.
My card features a digital stamp from Sugar Nellie, Gift Wrapping. I cut out the image with Spellbinders Nestabilities and then colored with Copic Markers, adding Ranger Stickles on the wings and the ground. After preparing the background with patterned papers from a Carta Bella pad, I attached the image panel with craft foam. The sentiment from a retired MFT set was stamped with Hollyhock ink. Buttons and stitched snowflakes finished it up.
And since I used a Sugar Nellie stamp, I am also submitting this for the September (#128) Anything Goes Sugar Bowl Challenge.

Did you see the announcement that I am now a Sugar Bowl "Sweetie." The Sugar Bowl blog has been restarted and today's card is for the October "Anything Goes" challenge.

Made With Love
I hope all my fellow Americans are having a wonderful holiday weekend. We are looking forward to a day of football watching here and some grilling out. I'm hoping to craft with one eye on the television. Of course all extraneous activities stop when Alabama plays this afternoon.
Today's card features another Sugar Nellie Furry Friends digital stamp, Made With Love. I used my Silhouette machine to faux fussy cut (Trace and Offset Function) the image. I've performed this function before but not with a digital stamp so there was some trial and error involved. Let's just say the third time was the charm. I had good intentions of coloring this cute kitty in yellows but I was just not going to be happy if I couldn't use the yellow polka dotted paper from the Avery Elle The Brights Collection pad. I was afraid that was too much yellow so I went with warm grays instead. Some chocolate icing on that yummy looking cake and it was all colored up in a jiffy. I kept the background simple as I wanted lots of white and then attached the image piece cut with Reverse Confetti Diagonal Strip Pretty Panels paired up with the Love Note die with dimensional dots. The sentiment from The Cat's Pajamas Lickable set was stamped directly onto the card base. A tiny bow cut with the Mama Elephant Dainty Bow die set provided a splash of color. A scattering of enamel dots finished it up.
Products: Sugar Nellie digital stamp, Avery Elle dp, PTI and MFT cs, Doodlebug enamel dots, Reverse Confetti dies, Mama Elephant die, Copic Markers
Copics: Kitty-W00, W1, W2, W5, RV00, R81, E81; Cake-E33, E37, E29, E50, E51, E53, YR01, E81
I am entering this in the Sugar Nellie Furry Friends challenge.

Texting
Now that I have a new printer I am capable of printing digital stamps again. My first purchases were three of the new Sugar Nellie Furry Friends. I spread the love between a kitty, a doggy and a teddy. Today's card features Texting.
I started out cutting a Cell Phone file with my Silhouette from plain card stock and Copics X-Press It blending card stock. I printed the Texting image onto the screen portion of the phone and then colored with Copic Markers. I combined this cutie patootie dog with patterned papers from the Fancy Pants Me-ology and Studio Calico Here+There pads and matted all the background pieces with the same Smokey Shadow card stock as the cell phone. The cut file contained conversation bubbles also but I felt the My Favorite Things Say What? Die-namics was a better fit for the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Just My Type set. I attached the sentiment piece with dimensional dots and then added the row of hearts cut with the Reverse Confetti Love Note Confetti Cuts set, backed with a bit of silver thread.
Products: Sugar Nellie digital stamp, Fancy Pants and Studio Calico dp, PTI cs, Silhouette file, My Favorite Things Die-namics, Reverse Confetti die, Simon Says ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Bunny-C00, C1, C3, R20, W00, E81; Cell phone-W00, E81, YR12; Ground-W00, W1, W2; Shadows-BG0000, BG000

Christmas Cards x 2
I managed to miss my goal of doing at least one Christmas project a month this March so I am doubling up here in April.
First up is a Lili of the Valley stamp Collecting the Tree which I paired up with Crate Paper dp. I tried a different Memento ink to stamp the image, Expresso Truffle which gives a softer look than the Tuxedo Black that I normally use. I used a piece from one of the label sheets to stamp the PTI sentiment. A combo of Ranger Stickles and Polar White Flower Soft emulated snow.
Products: Lili of the Valley stamp, PTI sentiment stamp, Crate Paper dp, Linen Thread, American Crafts ribbon, MFT and PTI buttons, Ranger Stickles, Flower Soft, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Copic Markers
Copics: Bears-E40, E41, E42; Scarves-W00, E81, BG10, BG11, BG34; Tree-YG0000, YG21, YG01; Snow-G0000, G00; Shadows-C00, C1
I used the same Crate Paper pad for my second card using Sugar Nellie Christmas Garland stamp. I bought some 4x8 envelopes this winter so the card size is 3.75x7.5. I cut down the base top 3/4 of inch in order to allow the front panel to reflect the snowflake top cut with one of The Cat's Pajamas Holiday Toppers CutUps. The small sawtooth border at the bottom of the image was cut with The Cat's Pajamas Pinking Border CutUps.
Products: Sugar Nellie stamp, Crate Paper dp, May Arts ribbon, Basic Grey fabric brad, The Cat's Pajamas CutUps, Copic Markers
Copics: W00, E81, BG10, BG11, BG34, YG0000, YG21, YG01, RV00, R81, R83, R22, R24, R27
I hope you enjoyed my Christmas in April cards! Thanks for stopping by.

Miss U
I have a card today featuring Sugar Nellie Hazel and Nutty which is actually my second entry for the 100th Sugar Bowl challenge. By the way, my first card was "eye candied" on the Sugar Nellie blog here.
This is another one where I had a head start as the image was all ready colored and in a kit. Obviously I must have started in the fall since the colors are rather fall like. I think I stopped working on it because at the time I couldn't figure what I wanted to do for the blank spot in the image panel. But once I started looking through my dies it actually came together easily. I used three different My Favorite Things Die-namics, Fancy Flourish, Mini Royal Roses and Royal Leaves. It also helped that I generally followed the Mojo Monday sketch (MOJO280) for the layout. The sentiment is from the My Favorite Things Notched Tag and Die set and was stamped with Hero Arts Wet Cement ink. The paper is all from the Glitz Designs Yours Truly 6x6 pad.
Products: Sugar Nellie stamp, Glitz Designs dp, PTI buttons, My Favorite Things Die-namics, Fiskars border punch, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Hero Arts ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Skin-E000, E00, E11, R20; Hair-E30, E33, E35, E37; Clothing-E40, E41, E42, E44, B91, B93, B97, B99; Leaves-YR23, YR24, YR27, R46; Nutty-E97, E99, E40, E41; Wings/Streamers-W00, E81; Shadows-W00, W1, W2
I hope you are having a great weekend. As always, thanks so much for stopping by.

For You
Good morning. I have a card today featuring Sugar Nellie Hazel that I created for the current Sugar Bowl challenge which happens to be their 100th. I've actually had this sweet fairy colored and kitted up for a while now and even had the mushroom border prepared which was cut with the C.C. Designs Mushroom Border Cutters. So I definitely had no excuse to enter the challenge with such a big head start. The paper is from the My Mind's Eye Gnome Sweet Gnome 6x6 pad.
Products: Sugar Nellie stamp, My Mind's Eye dp, PTI sentiment stamp and button, Kaisercraft jewels, Prima resin mushroom, C.C. Designs Cutters, Copic Markers
Copics: Skin-E000, E00, E11, R20; Hair-E31, E34, E37, E29; Clothing-E40, E41, E42, E44, YG91, YG93, YG95; Wings/Streamers-W00, E81; Leaves-YR23, YR24, YR27, R46; Mushroom-R22, R24, R29, W00, E81; Shadows-BG70, BG0000
Thank you for stopping by.

I have a couple more Christmas cards to show you today using stamps that had not yet been inked up. Both cards were made using a Sugar Nellie image. First up is Christmas (snowmen) which I colored with Copics as per usual. I then added Ranger Stickles on the snow people for extra gleam and Liquid Pearls for berries and snow flakes. The sentiment is from the My Favorite Things Clearly Sentimental about Christmas set.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Magic All Around
Nothing like waiting until the last minute! Today's card is for November's Sketch For You to Try. And yes, today is the last day to get it done. I really didn't want to skip since I've done all the other months so far. And frankly I need all the Christmas cards I can possibly get made these days.
I used a new image, Sugar Nellie Tatania. I've had it a while but had not managed to get it inked up. After coloring her up, I did a lot of fussy cutting since I wanted to superimpose her over the small village in the Webster's Pages dp. Believe me I was re-thinking that decision while I was cutting away. I added Ranger Stickles on the wings and cuffs for a bit of sparkle and then attached to the background panel with dimensional dots. I finished things off with a few rhinestones and my favorite white satin ribbon. The paper is from the Webster's Pages Winter Fairy/Botanical Christmas 6x6 pad.
Products: Sugar Nellie stamp, Webster's Pages dp, Kaisercraft jewels, May Arts ribbon, Ranger Stickles, Copic Markers
Copics: Skin-E000, E00, E11; Hair-E50, E51, E53, E55; Clothing-BV0000, BV00, BV11, W00, W1
It is super busy around here as I'm sure it is at your house. I've finished my Christmas decorating although we still need to get lights strung outside. I haven't done much shopping yet except for a few things here and there. Unfortunately I'm suffering with a really bad cold which has really hindered my progress. I'm taking the day off from all house activities today in hopes that the rest will put me back on the road to good health. I don't have time to be sick!

Last Call for Christmas in July
This is it for Christmas in July although certainly not the end of my Christmas card making endeavor for the year. I had no idea when I started this month that I would get so many cards done. I am literally half way finished with my cards for this year! What a great start! At the same time, I also used some products I've had for a while. Although to be honest, so far it doesn't look I've made much of a dent in my Christmas stash!
Today's card follows a sketch from The Sugar Bowl blog. It was designer's choice on any of the previous sketches. I stamped the Sugar Nellie Hug in a Mug image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Bazzill Simply Smooth cardstock. I colored it with Copic markers and then cut it out. I primarily used My Mind's Eye Be Merry paper from two years ago but also used some pieces from some older Scenic Route (I miss that company).
Products: Sugar Nellie stamp, My Mind's Eye and Scenic Route pp, PTI cs and buttons, Kaisercraft pearls, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Copic Markers
Copics: Skin-E0000, E00, E02, R20; Hair-E55, E57, E29; Shoes-W1, W2, E44; Clothing/Scarf/Gloves-R81, R83, R85, BG10, BG11, BG23, YG91, YG93, YG95, C1
And here is a shot of all the Christmas in July cards (sorry for the dark photo):
Have a great weekend! Nothing exciting going on here as I am still trying to rest my back.
