Mr. Frost Comes to Town Card Kit {Picket Fence Studios}

The limited edition Mr. Frosty Comes to Town Kit is available to purchase now! Nicole will be showcasing the kit tonight in the Picket Fence Studios Facebook Community at 6pm CDT so be sure to check it out.

I had so much fun creating projects from this kit which is filled with Christmas and winter goodness. This is the second kit from Picket Fence Studios and I know you are going to love it as much as I do. Everything I mention in bold is included in the kit. So let's get started!

First up is a slim line card. I stamped the snowman from the Snowone Else Like You stamp set onto Copic friendly cardstock, cut out with the matching die and colored with Copic markers. I used a die from the Slim Line Nested Rectangle Die Set to cut the Blue and Black Pearlescent Cardstock for the background then attached the image using a layer of craft foam. I painted on some Nordic Lights Paper Glaze Velvet onto plain white cardstock, then after the glaze dried, I cut out several snowflakes using the More Winter Snowflake Dies and applied a couple of layers of Sparkle Paper Glitz. The partial sentiment from the stamp set was stamped onto a strip of the White Pearlescent Cardstock using something borrowed ink. I cut a strip from the Cerulean Blue Cork Fabric, added a bit of Nordic Lights Paper Glaze Velvet on the ends, then cut some "fringe" using the piece as an additional scarf. It was attached and anchored with one of the snowflakes cut earlier. Another snowflake and a few the Snowflake Sequin/Clay Mix pieces provided the finishing touch.

Copics: Snowman-W00, E81, R00, R01, R05, B21, YR01, YR04, B23, B26, R01, R05; Hat-C00, C1, C3, C5, B21, B23, B26; Holly/Berries-R11, R14, G12, G14; Ear Muffs-B21, B23, B26, G0000, G000, G00, G12; Scarf-B21, B23, B26

For my second card, I painted on the Sparkle Paper Glitz onto plain white cardstock. Once dried, I cut out all five snowflakes from the More Winter Snowflake Dies then attached to the Blue Pearlescent Cardstock background panel. Aren't they pretty? The sentiment from the Snowone Else Like You stamp set was stamped using dove gray ink onto a strip cut from the White Pearlescent Cardstock, then attached with foam dimensionals.

For the third card I attached one of the Silver Snowflake Diecuts offset on the White Pearlescent Cardstock background panel. For the two layered snowflakes I used the largest die from the More Winter Snowflake Dies. To achieve the look I wanted I painted on the Nordic Lights Paper Glaze Velvet onto plain white cardstock, then cut out when dried and applied a couple of layers of Sparkle Paper Glitz. I then custom mixed the Nordic Lights and Sparkle Glitz and painted onto the plain white snowflake. The sentiment from the Snowone Else Like You stamp set was stamped directly onto the panel using dove gray ink A smattering of the Snowflake Sequin/Clay Mix pieces added even more sparkle.

My extremely talented fellow design team members will have so much more to show you using this beautiful kit.

Picket Fence Studios and Heffy Doodle Collaboration

The Picket Fence Studios Design Team members are collaborating with Heffy Doodle today with an Instahop.  If you want to participate in the Instahop start @picketfencestudios. There are prizes available so be sure to check it out. Winners will be announced September 8.

I started out by spraying the back of the Tall Christmas Trees 6x6 Stencil with Pixie Spray, then layered over a piece of paper from the Heffy Doodle Man Cave 6x6 pad (anchored down with strips of low tack tape from the Heffy Doodle Memo Tape Dispenser). I spread Arctic Fox Paper Glaze Luxe over the stencil using the Mixed Media Spatulas. While the glaze was still wet I quickly "decorated" the tree with pieces from the White Bottlecap Flowers. Now this is when I realized I may have messed up because I needed to run this through my diecutting machine with all those sequins on it using a die from the Slim Line Nested Rectangle Die set. But it took it like a champ with not one sequin popping off.

I cut a second piece of the paper from the same pad, then added both to the slim line card base with a border strip of silver metallic cardstock using that sweet Heffy Doodle Glubert. The sentiment from the Joyeux Noel set was stamped direct to paper using blueberry ink. A couple of snowflakes from the Joyeux Noel set was stamped with silvery shimmer ink, cut out with the matching die and attached with foam dimensionals.

Products: Picket Fence Studios stamps, dies and stencil, Heffy Doodle dp, PTI cs, Michael's metallic cs, PFS Paper Glaze Luxe and Sequins, MFT and Delicata Ink

Thank you for stopping by today and don't forget to hop on over to Instagram for a chance to win a prize and to see all the beautiful projects my fellow design team members have created.

I cut the background from distress cardstock using a die from the Slim Line Nested Rectangles die set, then blended on broken china distress ink to represent the sky. All the images were added using foam dimensionals. The sentiment from the Goody Goody Gumdrops set was stamped using gala red ink.

For my second card, I cut out the various pieces from the Gingerbread Bob and Gingerbread Betty die sets from kraft, red and white cardstock and patterned papers (bow and bowtie), then lightly blended gathered twigs distress ink on the edges of the figures using a small brush from the Life Changing Blender Brushes. After I assembled both gingerbread cookies, I stamped he sentiment from the Gingerbread People set using pure poppy ink. I attached all the images with foam dimensionals and a few pieces from the Gingerbread House Candy Mix were scattered around randomly.

Joyeaux Noel {Picket Fence Studios}

Popping in today to share a slim line Christmas card for a bit more Christmas in July.

After spraying the Slim Line Tall Christmas Tree Stencil lightly with Pixie Spray, I placed over a slimline cardstock piece and blended new leaf ink using the Life Changing Blender Brushes. I cut the frame from red poppy cardstock with the new Slim Line Scene Building Rectangle One Die and placed over the stenciled image. I then stamped the Christmas icons and sentiment from the Joyeaux Noel set using pure poppy and new leaf ink and then cut out with the matching dies. All the stamped images were attached using foam dimensionals.

When Pigs Fly {Picket Fence Studios}

Good morning all. I have another card using stamps and dies from the new June Picket Fence Studios release. Have you check it out yet? You really should.

I stamped all the images from the When Birthday Pigs Fly set, cut out with the matching dies, then  colored all the images with Copic markers (unfortunately I did not record them this time). For the background I used the Slim Line Nested Rectangles Dies where I used one of the dies to stamp the sentiment and the Slim Line Die Cutting System for the openings and image mat. I also used the smallest die from the Cloud Dies set to cut from textured cardstock and a tiny die from the Slim Line Full Front Shaker Die to represent the sun in order to create a scene in each opening. All the images were attached with foam dimensionals.

I hope your Father's Day weekend is a good one.

Rise, Heal, Overcome {Picket Fence Studios}

Today's card is my ode to Ukraine. I used a die from the Slim Line Cutting System to cut a slimline panel from distress watercolor cardstock and blended the Ink on 3 Peacock Blue onto it using the Life Changing Blender Brushes. I then dipped the Fan Brush into water, tapped some of if off so it wouldn't drip, then gently tapped it onto the blended background. I did this several times, then placed a paper towel over the panel to absorb some of the wetness.

Sunflowers are the national flower of Ukraine so I stamped the flower from the Face the Sun set onto Copic friendly cardstock using the Black Hybrid Ink Pad, cut out with the matching die then colored with Copic markers. Before attaching the image and sentiment to the now dry panel using a layer of craft foam, I added a patterned paper border to the bottom portion. A few Azurite Crystalline Diamonds were attached randomly and also the diecut sentiment stamped in the same peacock blue ink finished it up.

Products: Picket Fence Studios Stamps and dies, PTI dp, Ranger Distress and PTI cs, Picket Fence Studios embellishments, PFS and Ink On 3 ink, Copic Markers
Copics: YG01, YG03, YG17, YG23, Y11, Y15, Y17, YR27

I hope your week is off to a great start.

You are On My Mind {Picket Fence Studios}

For this mini slim line card, I first stamped the butterfly from the Butterfly Beauties set using the Black Hybrid Ink Pad ink onto ballet slipper cardstock then cut out with the matching die. For the image panel I used a die from the Mini Slim Line Double Stitched Rectangles Set to cut from white linen cardstock. I then brushed a light layer of water onto it, positioned the new Slim Line Rose Lines Stencil over it and ran it through my die cutting machine. Dampening the cardstock allows for deeper embossing when using a stencil. I kept the stencil in place on the card stock piece while it dried and then layered one of the pieces from the new A2 Vertical Messy Watercolor Vertical Stencil over it, I used one of the smaller brushes from the Life Changing Blender Brush Set to blend spun sugar distress ink in the small area.

I used the small die from the A2 Lattice Arch Cover Plate die to cut from white linen cardstock, centered it in the inked area, the attached the butterfly image in the center of the circle. The sentiment from the Word Die Topper Subtitles was stamped onto a black cardstock strip using Versamark ink, then white heat embossed an attached to the panel using foam dimensionals. The panel was matted onto black cardstock piece cut with the Mini Slim Line Stitched and Scalloped Rectangles Set. A few sequins from the lovely new Pink Flamingo Mambo Sequins Plus Mix finished it up.

Products: Picket Fence Studios stamps, dies, stencils and Sequins, PTI and Concord & 9th cs, Picket Fence Studios, Versamark and Ranger Distress ink

I don't know how I managed to use so many products on this itty bitty card. Later!

I used a slimline basics die set to cut from wood textured cardstock and the woodgrain patterned paper or the backing. The birds and sprigs of greenery were attached using a combo of glue and foam dimensionals. The sentiment from the My Favorite Things Mini Merry Messages set was stamped using licorice ink.

{The Cat's Pajamas} A Nutcracker Christmas

My project for today features the sweet Nutcracker Digi stamp from The Cat's Pajamas

I used the Print and Cut features in the Silhouette Studio software to print and cut out both the nutcracker and the sentiment. I also changed the color of the sentiment with the software. The size of the card is a mini slimline (3.25 by 6.25) and the background was accomplished by blending broken china distress ink onto the panel. Both the sentiment and image were attached using foam dimensionals. A few clear jewels finished it up.

A Happy Little Place by Stacey Yacula {Purple Onion Designs}

I have another card using the sweet stamps from the A Happy Little Place collection illustrated by Stacey Yacula for Purple Onion Designs

The complete collection along with the Around the Town Sentiment Set is offered at a discounted price for a limited time. The bundle includes Stacey’s 21 illustrated stamps and the sentiment set. It sells for $105.00, which is 30% off the regular prices. This promotion is available until May 14th. If you want it all it's a great time to purchase.

Today's card is a mini slimline which also features an interactive feature that I created with a roller die. After stamping the new Countryside horizon image onto a Bristol cardstock rectangle, then blended in tumbled glass distress ink for the sky. I traced the horizon lines onto plain printer, cut it out then used it as a pattern so I could cut the "grassy" designer paper to atch the horizon. I then cut out another grass piece using one of the dies from the Slimline Basics CutUps. I cut out the roller section using a Roller CutUps and popped the piece up with foam dimensionals.  I stamped Anna (mouse) and the flowers from the Flora End Notes stamp from an earlier release and fussy cut out. The sentiment came from the Together set (which benefits Covid-19 relief).

I started with a card base that is actually a bit smaller than the basic slimline card (3.75 x 7.75) and blended speckled egg distress ink onto the front. I splattered wet rich cocoa ink using a brush and set aside to dry. I cut the grass from kraft cardstock and clouds from white linen using the new Slimline Basics dies. I used the new Simply Blessed Bundle to stamp and diecut the individual pieces and colored with Copic Markers. I once again used stamps and dies from the Oh Christmas Tree set released in July, stamping with canyon clay, saffron spice and honey nut ink for foliage.

{Reminder} TCP Tuesday August Challenge

I am here today to remind you about The August TCP Tuesday Challenge which is to create a card with the popular Slimline shape. TCP products are not required but encouraged. You have until the end of the month to submit a project and there is a $50 gift voucher up for grabs. How easy is that?

I created another Christmas card using a non-Christmas-themed stamp and die set. After stamping and diecutting the four images from the Alpaca Bundle, I colored with Copic markers. To create a shaker, I cut a stitched slimeline rectangle from white linen cardstock, then used the Big,Little Alphabet to cut out the "fa la la". I stamped the rest of the sentiment then splattered hibiscus burst ink lightly over the whole piece. After attaching the acetate to the back of it, I filled with Clear Holographic Holeless Sequins, backed with cardstock using foam tape, then attached to a scalloped mat. The images were attached with glue and dimensional foam.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and dies, PTI and RC cs, The Cat's Pajamas sequins, PTI and Altenew ink, Copic Markers
Copics: W00, E81, R00, YG01, YG03, YG06, B0000, B000, B01, RV13, RV04, RV17, E40, E42
