Blessings This Holiday Season

Today's Christmas in July card is for the July CAS Christmas Challenge

I love Poinsettias but much to my husband's dismay I never want the red ones. I always like the soft greens ones best. After stamping, die cutting and coloring the image from the Altenew Festive Poinsettia stamp and die set, I attached the piece to a frame cut from white and metallic cardstock using a die from The Stamp Market (did not see it in their shop). I stamped the sentiments using golden glitz and black ink and added a gold metallic border at the bottom. Before attaching the image piece, I adhered some messy gold thread on the card front for a little more glitz and glam.

Products: Altenew stamps and die, PTI and Michael's metallic cs, The Stamp Market die, Delicata and Altenew ink
Copics: G20, G40, G43, Y35

Have a great week! Thank you so much for stopping by.

Hope

It's another Faith Friday today, although I realize now that the faith stamp (from my much loved Verve collection) is the inside greeting. It is Hebrews 11:1. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

I stamped the Altenew Peony Spray flower and sentiment onto a stitched linen cardstock piece, then colored the flower with Copic Markers. I then reached into my faith stamp box and used the words from an Illustrated Faith set as well as the crosses from the Sweet 'n Sassy The Good News set, all of them stamped using vintage cream ink for a subtle look.

Products: Altenew stamp, PTI cs, Altenew and PTI ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Y000, Y11, Y13, Y35, G40, G43, G46

I am submitting this to the Altenew February Inspiration Challenge.

Have a blessed weekend!

With Graditude {Happy World Card Making Day}

I recently commissioned a painting from a wonderful artist from my church. She finished it up for me in record time so I am popping this in the mail today.

I stamped the larger leaf twice and the smaller one once from the Altenew With Gratitude set onto watercolor card stock with Versamark ink and heat embossed them all with Egyptian gold powder. After cutting them out with the matching dies I watercolored all three with Daniel Smith watercolors. I cut the woodgrain embossed card stock with a stitched rectangle and attached the leaves in a cluster. The sentiment was stamped onto another piece and after wrapping gold thread around it several times I attached it to the card front with foam tape. This is one of those cards I have to say is prettier in real life because my camera just could not pick up the sparkles from the embossing powder. Nor is the gold thread that dark. Unfortunately it is rather dark and gloomy around here ahead of Hurricane Nate bearing down on the gulf coast.

Products: Altenew stamps and dies, Ellen Hutson, PTI and Strathmore cs, MFT die, Versamark and MFT ink, Daniel Smith Watercolors
