Savoury Pancakes
Tried this for the first time. Not so bad. More to malay style, with dried prawns & all that. Tried with my leftover, reheated sambal tumis. Yummms.....
What I Need:
3 tbsp cooking oil
3 shallots, peeled & sliced
50 gm dried prawns, soaked & minced
300gm plain flour (all-purposed)
450ml water
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2-3 stalks spring onions, finely sliced
How To:
1. Heat oil in a nonstick pan. Fry shallots until golden brown and crisp. Drain and set aside.
2. Add dried prawns to the same pan. Fry over low heat till frangrant and crisp. Drain and set aside. Remove oil and resume for frying pancakes later.
3. Sift flour into a bowl. Stir in water to make smooth, runny batter. Strain batter if lumpy. Stir in salt, pepper and spring onion. Mix crispy shallots and prawns.
4. Lightly grease nonstick pan. Pour in laddleful of batter, fry bothsides until lightly brown.
5. When cool, roll up swiss roll type or leave it just like that.
Nice to be eaten with sambal tumis...
Apalagi kalau pekene dengan teh ó panas-panas di suatu petang...fuyoooo...selegho bagindo!

Savoury Pancake ni satu keping brapa seng? Betul lah Sri, untung kita kenal tukang masak istana ni.
Jgn2 dia ada restorans tak? Saja dia tak bilang kita takut kita pergi sana nak makan freeee...
Wa kila pakai kati, wa tarak kira pakai kupeng! Wahahaha...kakza, restoran mender nya..rest-and-relex tu ada lah, ni penyakit pemalas kita dah mai daa... :p
eh..itu kira cam the chinese scallion pancakes eh?..nampak best eh :) apa lagi sila lah pos kat sini..hamba sekian menunggu. wah sri dah siap dengan pantun berkerat kerat dia...hehe..
