Soto Daging
What you need:
1 kg beef, sliced small & boil half tender (daging dihiris tipis, rebus separuh empuk)
Rice cake (nasi himpit) or yellow noodle/ beehoon
Bean sprouts, washed (taugeh)
Fresh spring onions & corriander leaves, chopped (daun bawang & daun ketumbar)
Shallot flakes (bawang goreng)
Water (air secukupnya)
Salt to taste (garam)
4 tbsp oil for saute (minyak utk menumis)

1 cinnamon (kayu manis)
4 cardamon seeds (buah pelaga)
3 star anise (bunga cengkih)
B, to blend
6 shallots (bawang kecil)
4 cloves garlic (bawang putih)
5 cm ginger (halia)
3 cm galangal (lengkuas)
3 stalk lemongrass (serai)
3 tbsp kurma powder (rempah kurma)
1 tbsp black pepper (lada hitam)
5 candlenuts (buah keras)
How to:
1. Heat oil and fry A & B until frangrant.
2. Add in half tender beef, salt & water. Let it simmer untill beef fully tender.
3. Serve with rice cake (nasi himpit) or noodles.
4. For an extra flavour, add in dark chilli sauce & potato patties...
Dark Chilli Sauce, blend till fine (sambal kicap)
10 chilli padi
1/2 cup sweet/dark soya sauce (kicap manis/pekat)
2 cloves garlics (bawang putih)
5 small lime, squeeze for juice (jus limau kasturi)
Some salt (garam)
Potato Patties (Pegedil Daging)
500 gm potatoes, peeled, wash & cut (kentang, kopek, cuci & potong)
200 gm cooked minced meat (daging kisar)
1/2 cup crispy fried shallots (bawang goreng)
2 stalk corrriander leaves, chopped (daun ketumbar)
2 stalk spring onions, chopped (daun bawang)
1 tsp white pepper (lada sulah)
1 tbsp corn flour (tepung jagung)
Salt (garam)
2 eggs, beaten (telur)
Some oil for frying (minyak utk menggoreng)
Methods:
1. Fry potatoes till cook and mash while hot.
2. Combine all ingredients except eggs and oil.
3. Form into round shape and flatten.
4. Dip mould into beaten eggs.
5. Heat up oil and fry till golden brown, drain.

Asik soto ayam jer, skali2 tukar plak soto daging. Ksian ayam sampai sakit2.

itu hari i baru buat kuah soto ayam..but sarah tak nak makan sebab kaler tak merah menyalah or kuning and she thinks that the soup tak pedas..hahah. but i love soto..makanan paling best sekali :)
