PBSC: July - Heinäkuu

The July challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge is midway through and this month our theme is, as always, Anything Goes with the optional theme of Nature. As our Guest Designer, we have the talented Loll joining us.

I chose to use the optional theme of Nature again and created this clean and simple card using a silhouette stamp from the new Penny Black stamp set Soulful Silhouettes. I heat embossed it in white and sponged some Distress Oxide ink in pink around it. I die cut the panel with the new Dainty Dashes die set. I heat embossed the sentiment from the new Trust Me Builder sentiment set onto a strip of vellum that I adhered to the panel before matting it onto my card base.

Käytin korttiini Penny Blackin uutta Soulful Silhouettes -leimasettiä, josta valitsin yhden leiman, jonka embossasin valkoisella. Mustetin leimakuvan ympärystää hieman Distress Oxide -musteella ja stanssasin paneelin uudella Dainty Dashes -stanssisetillä. Tekstileima on Trust Me Builder -tekstileimasetistä, embossasin sen valkoisella vellumille ja kiinnitin paneeliin ja paneelin korttipohjaan. Kaikki käytetyt leimat ja stanssit ovat Penny Blackin uudesta kokoelmasta Refreshing ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit tuotteisiin yllä.

The Flower Challenge: #46 Reminder - Muistutus

We're half way through our July challenge at The Flower Challenge and our theme is Summer/Winter. As our Guest Designer, we have the talented Mac Mable joining us.

I chose 'Summer' again and chose the colours of a summer sunset with the silhouettes of flowers against it. I sponged some Distress Oxide inks to the top portion of my card base and stamped flowers onto it from the new Penny Black stamp set Soulful Silhouettes (30-691).  I then took a strip of dark grey cardstock and added a little border with it. I chose a sentiment from the new Penny Black sentiment set Words of Encouragement (30-720)  and stamped it with the same ink as I did the flowers.  Lastly, I rounded the bottom corners of my card.

Itse valitsin taas kesän aiheekseni ja erityisesti kesäisen auringonlaskun värit. Mustetin korttipohjaani Distress Oxide -musteita ja leimasin siihen päälle kukkia uudesta Penny Blackin setistä Soulful Silhouettes (30-691). Lisäsin siihen vielä pienen kaitaleen tummanharmaata kartonkia, jonka alle leimasin tekstileiman Penny Blackin setistä Words of Encouragement (30-712). Lopuksi pyöristin vielä kortin alakulmat.

Penny Black Refreshing: Refreshing

Here are two cards that I made with the gorgeous new stamp set from Penny Black called Refreshing. For the first card I used the vase with the beautiful peonies, I heat embossed the image in white and watercoloured it before fussy cutting it. For the background, I used a frame die cut with Dainty Dashes die set matted onto white and then light grey cardstock. The sentiment comes from the new Trust Me Builder sentiment set, I stamped the first part and heat embossed the second part. I adhered everything in place, the vase and the sentiment strip are both adhered with foam adhesives for a little dimension. Lastly, I embellished the card with some clear sequins.

For the second card, I coloured the floral image with my Zig markers before fussy cutting the image. I created a frame for it with the die set Framed, I adhered it straight onto my cardbase and then adhered the floral image to it. I used a sentiment from Grown with Love stamp set and stamped it onto my cardbase. Lastly, I embellished the card with sequins before rounding the bottom corners with a corner chomper.

Tein pari korttia Penny Blackin uudella leimasetillä Refreshing. Ensimmäiseen korttiin embossasin leimakuvan ja väritin vesiväreilla, toiseen väritin Zigeillä, molemmat leikkasin irti. Ensimmäisessä kortissa stanssasin taustalle kehykset Dainty Dashes -stanssisetillä, toisessa Framed-stanssisetillä. Ensimmäisen kortin tekstileima on Trust Me Builder -tekstisetistä, toisen Grown with Love -leimasetistä. Molemmissa koristeina paljetteja. Kaikki käytetyt leimat ja stanssit on Penny Blackin tuotantoa, linkit tuotteisiin yllä.

AAA Birthday #15: July - Heinäkuu

We have a new challenge starting at AAA Birthday and this month we'd love to see anything '3D'. We have Rachelle joining us as our Guest Designer.

I have to confess, I'm not good at making pop-up boxes or diorama cards so I interpreted 3D as being anything that is not flat but is raised from the surface and created my card with this in mind. I created the background by masking the bottom left hand corner and sponging some Distress Oxide ink onto the cardbase. As my focal point, I have the cute hedgie from the new Penny Black set called Critter Delights (30-711), I coloured him with my Zig markers and fussy cut him out. I did the same to the bouquet he is holding, it's from the set Refreshing (30-695). I then popped them up on some foam adhesives. The sentiment is from the set Carefree Wishes (30-700), I heat embossed it onto a strip of dark brown cardstock and then adhered it onto the cardbase with foam adhesives. I embellished the card with some enamel dots.

Heinäkuun haaste AAA Birthdayssä on 3D ja Guest Designerina on Rachelle.

Itse en ole haka tekemään kovinkaan erikoisia 3D-kortteja, joten tulkitsin 3D:n tarkoittavan mitä tahansa koholla olevaa ja se mielessä tein korttini. Korttipohjaan maskasin alavasemman kulman ja mustetin korttipohjaa Distress Oxide -musteella. Leimakuvat on Penny Blackin uusia leimoja, siili on Critter Delights (30-711) -setistä ja kimppu Refreshing (30-695) -setistä. Väritin molemmat Zigeillä, leikkasin irti ja kiinnitin korttipohjaan tarrapaloilla. Teksti on Carefree Wishes -setistä, embossasin sen ja kiinnitin korttipohjaan niin ikään tarrapaloilla. Koristeiksi muutama enamel dotsi.

PBSC: July - Heinäkuu

It's time for the July challenge over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge and the theme is, as always, Anything Goes. The optional theme is Nature. We have an amazing Guest Designer as Loll is joining us this month. There is also a prize for the winner, a $20 voucher to 1-2-3 Stitch!

I went with the optional theme of Nature and used a new stamp from the fabulous new release by Penny Black, Refreshing. The stamp is called Grown with Love. I stamped it onto watercolour paper and coloured it with my Zig markers. I also added some accents with my white gelly roll pen and a bit of sparkle to the water (but of course it's not visible in the photo...). I die cut a window to my cream coloured panel with Stitched Circles die and matted the two panels together before adhering them to my cardbase. I heat embossed the sentiment that comes with the Grown with Love stamp set onto a strip of dark brown cardstock, adhered it in place and embellished it with two little hearts die cut with Hearts Galore die.

Heinäkuun haaste on alkamassa Penny Black Saturday Challengessä ja aihe on, kuten aina, Anything Goes, vapaavalintainen aihe on Nature. Palkinto on voittajalle luvassa, $20 lahjakortti  1-2-3 Stitch!:iin.

Tein vapaavalintaisen teeman mukaan luontoaiheisen kortin ja käytin siihen uutta leimaa, Grown with Love, Penny Blackin uudesta kokoelmasta Refreshing. Väritin leimakuvan Zigeillä ja lisäilin valkoista geelikynää sinne tänne ja kimalletta veteen (vaikka se ei kuvassa näykään..). Paneeliin stanssasin ikkunan Stitched Circles -setin stanssilla ja kiinnitin paikoilleen. Tekstileima on Grown with Love -setistä, embossasin sen kartonkisuikaleelle, kiinnitin paikoilleen ja koristelin parilla sydämellä, Hearts Galore -stanssilla stanssatut.  Kaikki tuotteet ovat Penny Blackin ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit yllä.

Penny Black Refreshing: Illustrious

I made a couple of cards with the gorgeous new floral stamp from the new Penny Black release called Refreshing. The stamp is called Illustrious.

The first card is a one-layer. I folded the card base out of watercolour cardstock and stamped the image on it before watercolouring it. After watercolouring I masked the upper right hand corner and sponged some Distress Oxide ink onto the cardbase. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the new Trust Me Builder sentiment set.

For the second card, I used some Copic friendly cardstock in kraft colour and stamped the background stamp Vintage Postcard onto it before stamping it with the Illustrious stamp. I coloured the image with my Copics and stamped a sentiment from the sentiment set Words of Encouragement onto it. I then matted the panel onto some purple cardstock before adhering it to my kraft coloured cardbase. I embellished the card with some sequins.

Penny Black Refreshing: Critter Delights

I'm sharing more cards made with stamps and dies from the new gorgeous release by Penny Black called Refreshing. This time I'm using the cutest of stamp sets called Critter Delights.

For the first card, I used to stamps from the Critter Delights set, the mice are two different stamps but I thought they'd go well together so I combined them to create a scene. I watercoloured the image with my Zig markers and added some accents with a white gelly roll pen before die cutting the panel with the new Dainty Dashes frame die set. I stamped the sentiment from the Words of Encouragement sentiment set. For the background I die cut a panel out of green cardstock and layered it with the main panel. I also used a bit of patterned paper from Beau Jardins paper pad. I die cut a tiny paper clip using Just a Note die set and used it as an embellishment.

For the second card, I used three different images from the Critter Delights set and stamped them so that it looks like they're hurrying to celebrate a birthday along a hill die cut with Curved Stitch die. I coloured the images with my Zig markers again and sponged some Distress Oxide ink to the sky. I stamped the sentiment from Carefree Wishes sentiment set and added a tiny heart next to it die cut with Hearts Galore die. For the green hill I used patterned paper from Beau Jardins paper pad.

Penny Black Refreshing: Yummy

Penny Black has just released a fabulous new collection of stamps and dies called Refreshing and I'm here to share a couple of cards I made with some of them. I used a stamp set called Yummy and the matching dies called Yummy Cut Out for both of them.

For the first card, I used all the characters in the set - such a sweet bunch of friends with their treats! I coloured the images (the kids and the bench) with my Copic markers and die cut them with the matching dies. The sun is an extra die that comes with Yummy Cut Out, I die cut it and coloured it with Copics as well. For the background, I die cut the panel using the new frame dies called Dainty Dashes and sponges some Distress Oxide ink to it. The grass is die cut with Garden Edgers die and I heat embossed the sentiment from the Trust Me Builder set on a strip of grey cardstock.

For the second card, I used the sweet girl with her watermelon and the bench from the Yummy set, coloured them with my Copics and die cut with Yummy Cut Out dies. For the background, I sponged some green Distress Oxide ink and stamped  a leafy branch from the set Soulful Silhouettes with the same ink. I die cut the frame with Dainty Dashes frame dies and stamped the sentiment from the Words of Encouragement sentiment set. I also added a little heart next to the sentiment, I die cut it with Bear-y Much Cut Out dies.
