AAA Birthday: May - Toukokuu

It's AAA Birthday's 3rd birthday and it is time to party! The theme is Let's Party and joining us in our celebration is our Guest Designer, Meghan.

A party is no party without a conga line, right? Ha ha! That was the motivation behind my card on which I used the Conga Line stamp by Colorado Craft Company. I coloured the image with my Karin markers, added some splatters with gold spray and adhered some gold sequins as embellishments, hoping they'd look a bit like confetti being thrown. The sentiment (which says 'Congrats') is a die cut. I die cut it 3 or 4 times and adhered all the layers on top of each other before adhering it on my card. This gives a nice dimension to the sentiment, although it doesn't show on the photo. Lastly, I adhered the panel onto some red cardstock before adhering it all to my card base.

AAA Birthday on jo 3-vuotias ja sitähän pitää juhlia! Teemana on siis Let's Party ja juhlimassa mukana on Guest Designer Meghan.

Käytin DT-korttiini Colorado Craft Companyn Conga Line -leimaa, väritin leimakuvan Karin-tusseilla ja roiskin päälle kultaspraytä. Lisäsin vielä muutaman kultaisen paljetin ja toivoin, että ne näyttäisivät ilmaan heitetyltä konfetilta. Teksti on stanssattu, stanssasin sen 3-4 kertaan ja kiinnitin kerrokset toisiinsa ennen kuin kiinnitin sen korttiin. Lopuksi kiinnitin paneelin punaiselle kartongille ja korttipohjaan. 

AAA Birthday: April - Huhtikuu

There's a fun new challenge starting at AAA Birthday with the theme of 'Critters'. As our Guest Designer, we have the wonderful Libeeti joining us. 

My critter is a bear that comes from the sweet stamp set called Happy Day! by Colorado Craft Company. I stamped the bear on watercolour paper and coloured it with my Karin markers. I then die cut the edge with a die from the set Border Collection by Penny Black and placed some patterned paper behind it. I die cut a couple of banners with MFT dies and stamped my sentiment on one (it says 'Congratulations'). Lastly, I embellished the card with a tiny star, a bow of string and some enamel dots.

Oman korttini tein Colorado Craft Companyn leimalla setistä Happy Day! Leimasin nallukan vesiväripaperille ja väritin Karin-tusseilla, minkä jälkeen stanssasin reunan stanssilla Penny Blackin Border Collection -setistä. Bannerit stanssasin MFT:n stansseilla ja leimasin toiseen tekstin. Lopuksi koristelin kortin pienellä tähdellä, narurusetilla ja enamel dotseilla.

Sending hope - Toivoa

Here's a very simple one-layer card I made with the Dream Big stamp by Colorado Craft Company. I stamped the image, coloured it with my Karin markers and added a bit of Stickles to the star. I then masked the edges and sponged some Distress inks to the rectangle before heat embossing the sentiment. Lastly, I splattered some gold spray to the panel.

Yksinkertainen one-layer-kortti Colorado Craft Companyn setillä Dream Big. Väritin leimakuvan Karin-tusseilla ja lisäsin tähteen Sticklesiä. Reunat maskasin ja mustetin suorakulmion Distress-musteilla. Tekstileima on embossattu. Lopuksi roiskin paneeliin vielä kultaspraytä.

Happiness and light to you - Iloa ja valoa sinulle

Here's a card I made with a stamp from the Colorado Craft Company set 4 Leaf Clover. I know the hamster is supposed to stand in a field of clovers but I wanted to try and turn them into little flowers so I coloured them yellow. I think they look nice this way too.

I coloured the image with my Karin markers and die cut the panel with Penny Black's Semi-Circle Stackers die. After die cutting, I left the die in place and sponged some Distress Oxide ink in Salty Ocean to the panel to make the sky. I also splattered the image with some gold spray. The sentiment I used says something like 'Happiness and light to you'. I matted the panel onto some dark blue cardstock and embellished the clover/flower the hamster is holding with a rhinestone.

Tämä kortti syntyi leimalla Colorado Craft Companyn setistä 4 Leaf Clover. Apiloitahan nuo pitäisi olla mutta halusin koittaa, voisiko ne muuttaa kukiksi, joten väritin ne keltaisella. Toimii ehkä näinkin.

Leimakuvan väritin Karin-tusseilla ja stanssasin paneelin Penny Blackin Semi-Circle Stackers -stanssilla. Jätin stanssin paikalleen ja mustetin paneelia Distress Oxide -musteella, jotta sain aikaan taivaan. Roiskin siihen myös kultaspraytä. Tekstileima on Heidin Korttipajan. Kiinnitin paneelin tummansiniselle kartongille ja koristelin hamsterin kädessä olevan apilan/kukan pienellä timantilla. 

AAA Birthday: November - Marraskuu

 

It's November and time for a new challenge at AAA Birthday. For the month of November, our theme is 'Animals' and as our Guest Designer, we have the fabulous Kailash.

I made my DT card with a stamp from the sweet Colorado Craft Company stamp set Christmas Presents - I'm trying to get a bit more mileage from the stamps by using Christmas stamps in a birthday card. I coloured the image with my Copics and created a simple background by masking a rectangle and sponging some Distress Oxide inks in Speckled Egg and Broken China onto the rectangle. I then adhered the image on the card and stamped my sentiment (it says 'Happy Birthday') on it.

Taustan tein maskaamalla suorakulmion korttipohjaan ja mustettamalla sen Distress Oxide -musteen sävyillä Speckled Egg ja Broken China. Lopuksi kiinnitin leimakuvan paikoilleen ja leimasin tekstileiman.

A pile of presents - Lahjapino

 I bought this Colorado Craft Company/Anita Jeram stamp set Christmas Presents before last Christmas but only had time to make one Christmas card with it. I now thought I might try and stretch the stamps a bit and make a birthday card with them. I think this image works for birthday cards as well, what do you think? 

I coloured the image with my Zig markers, die cut the frame with Penny Black die Stitched Nested Frames and stamped my sentiment on it (it says 'Congratulations'). I matted the panel onto some light grey cardstock and adhered it then on a piece of patterned paper. There was a snowman illustrated onto one of the gift tags on the presents, I simply used a tiny die cut heart to cover it.

Colorado Craft Companyn Anita Jeram -leimasetti Christmas Presents on joululeimasetti, mutta en ehtinyt niillä montakaan joulukorttia viime jouluksi tehdä, joten ajattelin nyt vähän "venyttää" leimoja ja käyttää tätä synttärikorttiin. Sopiihan tämä siihenkin, vai mitä? Väritin leimakuvan Zigeillä, stanssasin paneelin Penny Blackin Stitched Nested Frames -stanssilla ja leimasin Heidin Korttipajan tekstileiman siihen ennen kuin kerrostin paneelin vaaleanharmaalle kartongille. Taakse laitoin hieman kuviopaperia. Yhdessä leimakuvan lahjatägissä oli lumiukon kuva, mutta peitin sen pienellä stanssatulla sydämellä. Muuta koristetta en korttiin laittanutkaan.

AAA Birthday: January - Tammikuu

It's time for the first challenge of 2021 at AAA Birthday and as our theme we have A Stencil Background. As our Guest Designer this month, we have Melanie. We also have new DT members and this is their first challenge with us so please make sure you check out AAA Birthday to see them in action too!

In my DT card, I used some of my new stamps. These are from the set Birthday Wishing by Colorado Craft Company. I coloured them with my Zig markers and die cut them with the matching dies. I die cut the panel with an MFT die and used a stencil by Create a Smile to ink the splash of colour (I used Distress Oxide inks in Peacock Feathers and Broken China). I heat embossed the sentiment (it says 'On your birthday') on a strip of grey cardstock and also added the same grey cardstock behind the panel, and a bit of patterned paper to cover the cardbase. I embellished the card with some black enamel dots.

Leimakuvat väritin Zigeillä ja taustalle mustetin maaliroiskeen Create a Smilen sapluunalla, koko paneelin stanssasin sitten MFT:n stanssilla. Tekstileiman embossasin. Paneelin taustalle laitoin ensin tummanharmaata kartonkia ja sitten hieman kuviopaperia. Kortin koristelin mustilla enamel dotseilla.

Christmas bunny - Joulupupu

I have one more Christmas card to share that I didn't get to share before Christmas. This one was made with the lovely new stamps from Colorado Craft Company and specifically their Anita Jeram collection. The set I used is called Christmas Presents. I coloured the image with my watercolours on a panel die cut with a Penny Black die. The sentiment I used wishes 'Merry Christmas and a happy New Year'. For the background, I used patterned paper by Lili of the Valley and a die by Penny Black.
