TUSAL 11/2013 and a few more finishes

Here are my ORT's since last time, and posted on the right day, I might add!!

 Autumn Leaves
Nancy's Needle

Adam and Eve
Little House Needleworks

I did not stitch the words Adam and Eve as it is obvious to me who it is!  Also, I did not stitch the birds.  I thought they looked a little bit too big.  I'm pleased with the way it looks, though.

Here is my PSS Mary's Sampler II through part V.  I hope to find a few minutes later tonight to get part VI stitched.  It is so sweet! (And, I'm amazed that I have actually been able to keep up...)

If all goes well, we will be moving from Tulsa in about 2 weeks.  While on vacation earlier this year we found a house and bought it.  We put our house up for sale when we returned and have finally sold it.  I had not mentioned earlier because I didn't know how long it might take to sell.  I just hope all goes well and that our buyers get their loan and/or don't back out.  We are in the process of packing and trying to get everything done.  It's been crazy here all summer because we were always on edge waiting for the realtor to call about a showing.  We had lots.  I didn't feel like getting any really big projects out and then having to put everything up at a moments notice.  I'm just ready to try to get back to normal, and hopefully we will be able to soon.

Thanks for stopping by!

TUSAL 10/2013 (and 8/2013, 9/2013)

I've been away for a while and I'm back now.  And, finally posted a picture of my ORTs on the right day!!  This is my collection since my last post in July!  I have been doing some stitching and have a few finishes to show.   Will try to get some pics in the daylight in the next few days.

I am stitching Paulette Stewart's mystery sampler (from Plum Street Samplers) and part 2 will be posted tomorrow.  So far it is looking very sweet with Mary and Joseph.  Can't wait to see what the next part will be.

I need to get this posted quickly, by midnight...

TUSAL 7/2013 (and 5/2013, 6/2013)

How can I be late again??? Well, I put my camera in a "safe" place and located it a few days ago :D  Here are my orts for May and June!

Here are a few more from same stitching time. This tin is mostly from the Nathaniel Russell House shown in my last post.  And, here they are so far for the year:

OK, so I hid my camera and found it.  I also have hidden a little finish...Sheep Virtue # 2, LOVE.  Stitched it, put it away, and now can't find it!  When I do I'll post a pic.  I guess you wonder why is che crazily "hiding" stuff???  More about that later!

Thanks for stopping by!

TUSAL 4/2013

Here's my collection of ORTs for the month.  Because I was traveling I used a zip bag to save on space.  We just got home a few hours ago, tired, but happy!  Lot's of laundry to do and much to get back to "normal", so that's all for this post.  Will be back soon with an update.
Thanks for stopping by!

TUSAL 3/2013

Here is my ORT jar for March...a day or so late, I think!!  The threads in the lower area are from a little Prairie Schooler freebie and the top threads are from The Yellow House Sampler.  I don't have a pic of either to share, but should soon.

Thanks for stopping by!

TUSAL 2/2013

My orts for February had lots of reds and greens from Blessings be Thine.  I see some pretty ones from Hope and lots of red from Heart Swirls

TUSAL 1/2013

For my "current" WIPs, I prefer to stitch from boxes.  Since I stitch in different areas, it's just easier for me to take the lid off and have everything ready to stitch.  Usually in each box you'll find all the threads, extra needles, scissors, a highlighter, pair of glasses, and a tin to keep ORTS.

This box happens to have emergency food for when I left the house yesterday!!

So, to prepare for the first picture of the 2013 TUSAL, I collected all ORTS from the tins and here they are...a lot of green from Quaker Christmas, and some various colors from Blessings Be Thine and The Yellow House Sampler.  May I present my January 2013 ORT collection:

I have saved ORTs for several years and just stuffed them into a vase and kept it on my bookshelf because they looked pretty...
