Seasonal Smalls

LOTS OF PICTURES!!

I tried to fill my antique dough bowl for July 4th, but still needed a few more to really fill in the spaces!   I'll work hard to fill it for next year! The bowl is rather large! It seems larger than most of the ones I see online.   As I mentioned in an earlier post (here), it was made for my grandparents for their wedding in 1896 by my grandfather's brother.  It was well used for bread and biscuits for their large family of 8 children!  My aunt had it and gave it to me a few years ago.

Some of these were stitched a while ago, and others more recently.  The backing fabric is shown as well.  I had all of the fabrics, buttons, etc. in my stash, so I didn't have to spend any $ to finish them!  Woo Hoo!

More Finishes

Well, the cold that I thought I had, turned out to be what I think was the flu. I was so fatigued, had chills and fever and my body ached all over. All I felt like was being a lump on the sofa for days! DH was on kitchen duty and got all of my meals (the little I felt like eating) and did the clean up! Thank you so much! I felt a bit better yesterday and today even better, but still weak. No need to see the Dr...just self medicated with ibuprofen and lots of fluids. Glad that I didn't have to get out and need to be somewhere! I do hate to be sick!

Here are a few more finishes for the year.
