A new quilt!

My quilt has been finished for a few weeks but I just hadn't
had a chance to post about it.
I have called it "Tilly's Old Roses" and it is made
using the Tilda Old Rose fabric range. Looking at the quilt,
I probably should have pressed it before taking photos!
I used the Eliza Raspberry for backing.
It was beautifully quilted with a damask rose design

I'm going to be pretty quiet for the next couple of months.
As I mentioned in my last post, Noel and I will be
road tripping in our camper van. Hopefully,
I might get time to catch up with everyone's blogs
if we have wifi and are having a quiet night in!

A Tilda Swap

Dawn at Kitty Rose Cottage recently organised a
Favourite Tilda Fat Quarter Swap. We each sent her a fat quarter
of our favourite Tilda fabric which Dawn then forwarded
to a mystery partner who then made a swap gift using that fat quarter.
We could also add extra fabric to what we were making.
This is the fabric my partner Kerry sent. Isn't it gorgeous!
It was from the Bumblebee range.
Straight away I knew I wanted to make her Gail Pan's
"Happily Ever After Sewing Bag" from her book
Patchwork Loves Embroidery.

Instead of using Gail's stitchery, I did Kerry's initial using
the "Stitcher's Alphabet" by Michelle Ridgeway.

I remembered I had these cute little heart charms so added one.
Kerry loved her bag!

This was my fat quarter that was sent to Julie (it was not a direct swap).
It is from the Tilda Old Rose range.
The colour is more like this than the photos below.

I received a lovely project pouch from Julie.
It has a plastic front so you can easily see what's inside.

With the scraps, Julie made me a luggage tag.
This is perfect as Noel and I are heading to Scotland later in the year!

A Little Getaway and Some Lavender

Noel and I headed up to Beechworth for a few days.
We camped at Ian (Noel's brother) and Beverley's place.
We wanted to test out the solar and other things that we
have added to the camper so we will be able to go off grid.
We took Mum with us. Here we are enjoying the sunset.
Along with some wine and nibbles.

We went to Stanley for some delicious scones
with cream and homemade jam.
The trees are all changing colours.
There were lots of orange and gold ones too.
I needed a small birthday gift for Beverley
as we were there on her special day.
Beverley loves chickens and lavender. This Tilda Little Farm
fabric was perfect for making lavender sachets.
And because he's just so cute, here's Ralph enjoying
some special doggy Easter treats!

A Christmas Banner

This is my third finish from the Tilda
Mystery Christmas Box from Kitty Rose Cottage.
The pattern is Jolly Christmas Stocking Banner.
Don't you just love the stocking fabrics!
They're what made me want to get the box.
The needleturn was done using applique paper.
I've never used it before but will definitely get some more.
I can't believe how smooth you can get your curves.
That was something that has always put me off doing
needleturn applique as I would always get little sticky out bits.

Happy Hearts Gift Bag.
It is another project from my Tilda Mystery Christmas Box
from Dawn at Kitty Rose Cottage.

This was a fun little project and I'm sure I'll make more.
I altered mine a bit so that the casing was higher up making
more room to put more goodies in!

A Christmas Jewel

I finished my Christmas Jewel decoration
but decided it needed something.
Looked through my stash and found this braid.
It was just what was needed.
I really enjoyed making this little project.
Will definitely be making some more of these.

To Sew Or Not To Sew!

Saturday I joined Chookyblue and the girls for some zoom stitching.
I worked on my "To Sew Or Not To Sew" cube.
All the blocks ready to join together.
I have used all Tilda fabrics except for the background.
Even the inside looks pretty!
Stuffing time!

Ta Da! All finished.
What shall I do today?

This was such a fun little project.
The pattern is "To Sew Or Not To Sew" by Ellie's Quilt Place.
As if zoom stitching Saturday wasn't enough, Sunday
I headed off to Ballan for Chrissie's Timeless Treasures
Needlework Gathering with Melody.
We always have such a fabulous time there.
I was very lucky and won this bundle of
Gail Pan's fabrics in one of the raffles.

Gifted Hand Towels

Now they have finally been gifted, I can show you these
hand towels I made with my lovely Tilda fabrics.
From the Bon Voyage and Old Rose ranges.
Maple Farm range. Not too sure why but I cut these bands wider!
I just added some lovely handmade soap ready for gifting.

You may have noticed my panorama photo under my header
has gone. I was updating the photo and somehow I hit the
wrong button and deleted it. Now I can't add another one as the
"add a gadget" is gone. I am so disappointed and
could kick myself from not being more careful!
I've had one up there for eleven years!

Tilda Windy Days Stitchalong Week 7

Project #7 was a sewing chatelaine.
This was a lovely quick project to make.
