Sweet November

It's here.
The month I wait for all year long.

And unlike the HORRIBLE movie starring Keanu Reeves (who, seriously, is the worst actor...am I right? When you have the same emotion...or lack thereof...in the movie "Speed" as you do in a chick flick like "Sweet November", I'm sorry...but you're just a bad actor).

So, unlike everything about the movie "Sweet November", I love everything about this month.

The weather.
The clothing.
The non-commercial happiness that is the holiday of Thanksgiving.
The food.
The smells.
The feeling.

This November's calendar, more than any other November in the history of Novembers, is already set with all sorts of good things.
Simply put, it's going to be sweet.
Perhaps the sweetest.
Ever.

And so, because the give away last month was oh so fun, we're doing another.

I'm giving away things that represent what I'm grateful for...

I'm grateful to be a woman.
And so I'm giving away this book.

I'm grateful to be a Christian.
And so I'm giving away this CD.

I'm grateful I get to do what I do.
And so I'm giving away a TOFW dvd of an event I recently spoke at.

And I'm grateful to be happy.
And so I'm giving away a surprise that makes me happy.

To enter, simply leave a comment below with the following information:
1. What are YOU grateful for?
2. Which give away item would you most enjoy? (the book, cd, dvd, or surprise gift)

Enter by Monday, November 5th.
Sweet winners will be announced next week.

Happy SWEET November!
xoxo

I'm grateful that as a single mom, I live in a country (NZ), that has allowed me to complete a university degree (will be a graduate midwife in 6 weeks). Blessing after blessing has gifted me with the tools to look after my children AND create a future for them.
I'd most love the surprise gift. Surprises are one of life's most fun moments!

I am grateful for my family, and I think that is the most important to me. but truly? I have SO many things to be grateful for- friends, my health, my awesome job, blogging friends like YOU, my new winter coat, my calling as a trek coordinator (which...hello...LOVE), even crazy silly things like my new lip gloss and my Costco membership!

While I do love ALL of your gift options....I would most love the surprise! (Because, I guess, I just love the idea of a surprise!)

I am grateful for my family--but specifically this year I am grateful for my parents who had the courage as 19 year old kids to join the church against their parents wishes. It had to have been hard for them to make that choice, but my life and my own family's life will forever be blessed because of their courage.

And I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY hope I win the DVD of you speaking!

We had some AWESOME experiences transpire from your talk at our girls camp this year--and now that I am YW President (deep breath, don't freak out Laura, deep breath)--I am even more excited to hear some of your other talks!

Happy Thanksgiving month! I hope you have a GREAT one!

I know it's cliche to say that I am grateful for my family--but this year I am specifically grateful for my parents, who, 40 years ago, as 19 year old kids, had the courage to join the church against their parents wishes. It couldn't have been easy for them to make that decision, but my life and my own family's life will be forever blessed because of their courage.

And I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY hope I win the DVD of you speaking at TOFW!!!!!

We had some amazing experiences transpire as a result of your talk at our girls camp this year. Now that I just got called to be YW president (deep breath, don't freak out, deep breath), I am even more anxious to hear more of your talks (and I have already bought all your books and CD's so I REALLY hope I win this one!)

Happy Thanksgiving month! I hope it's a great one for you!

I'm utterly grateful for the love I have in my life: from my spouse, my children, my parents, my grandchildren, my Primary children. I am surrounded and it uplifts me and makes me want to be better.

And I think I would most enjoy the cd. We love the MoTab!

I"m grateful for forgiveness - for kids who keep forgiving me over and over again for my mistakes as their mother. And I am so grateful for the sweet moments that fill our home with laughter.

My birthday is coming up this month so I love November, too. I want all of the fun gifts but I think the surprise would be the most fun to open up.

There are too many things to list but here are the ones that are on top of my list. I am grateful that my family in NJ is safe from the storm. They have no electricity and no water and a big pine tree fell over and knocked down a neighbor's house but luckily everyone is safe. I'm also grateful that my kids are sharing half of their Halloween candy with the troops abroad and the missionaries in our ward. I'm grateful we are all healthy and able to share the excitement and happiness this upcoming holiday season!
I would love to win anything. I've never won a giveaway before! They all sound fabulous!

I'm grateful to be healthy, and I'm grateful my husband and I both have decent jobs, and our children also. I'm especially grateful to be a wife, mother, and grand-mother. I'm grateful for a Father in Heaven who knows me personally. I love my life ! I'd like to go to TOFW, I've never been before, and I'd love to see what it's all about. I've heard so many good things about it. Thanks Laurel !!

I am grateful for women and men who are inspired to share their thoughts and the Spirit at TOFW. I am appreciative of your insight and blog posts. I get excited to see something new on your blog and yes I check it everyday. I am grateful for my testimony and the knowledge that I am a child of God who is here to have a earthly experience to earn a heavenly reward.
I would love the DVD which contains your inspired thoughts and I love the clip about waiting. I too am waiting on a man and know there is a reason why.....

I am grateful for the opportunity I had to go to Africa this summer and serve the people of Zambia. They taught me about living in the moment, loving with my whole heart, trusting God and being grateful for even the smallest of blessings. Truly a life changing blessing that I will forever be grateful for.

I would love to read the book - I've been eyeing it for quite some time and would be thrilled to have the chance to read words of the beloved Prophet Joseph.

I am grateful for my husband. We have suffered from infertility for 8 years. Some days are really good but other days there is pregnancy and babies all around and it's really hard. My husband is always there to encourage me and remind me that Heavenly Father is in charge and knows our heartache. He is a wonderful man and I am grateful for his example of faith during hard times.

I would love to win the DVD. I watched the live stream of the Salt Lake City event and thought it was fabulous. It would be fun to see you speak live.

I am grateful for adoption. My family was able to grow because of our sweet birth mother and the love that she shared.

I would be the most grateful for the TOFW DVD. I attend every year with my mom and sister and we LOVE it.

I am grateful to be a stay at home mom to 5 kids, a wife to a wonderful husband, a daughter to great parents, and a child of God. I am grateful to be a gospel doctrine teacher (which I never thought I would say because it scares me to death to teach adults) because I get to learn about my Savior and led by the Spirit in a way I never had been before! I think I would enjoy the book the most...because with 5 kids, I need some mom time to rejuvenate myself!

I had leukemia when I was 3 years old, so I'm especially grateful for a healthy body that beat cancer, let me literally "dance through life", and gave me four beautiful, healthy kids. I'm thankful I was given more time on this earth to have a family of my own and experience this amazing life!

I would love the surprise or the DVD!

I am so grateful for Temples. 2 Years ago I met with my Bishop and Stake President and recived my recommend. I was able to go to the Temple and recieved many blessings. Earlier this year I went to Las Vegas and went to the Temple there. That day a dear friend past away. I went back the next day and the spirit was so strong, confirming to me that Families are Eternal.
I would really like the Book. Sheri Dew is my all time fav author.....

Oh Laurel, I think everyone has caught the "grateful" bug...I'm so glad! I am grateful for life, for being a friend, for having family, for ice cream and popcorn, and for being able to view TOFW online last week-end. I am thankful for a prophet who told us to have a 72 hour kit at least....!!!!!

I would love the surprise gift the most! I love surprises!

"But who am I to tell fate where it’s supposed to go?" (Colbie Callait, Brighter Than the Sun.)

I heard this the other day and it made me think of some of your past posts that we ALL can relate with.

I am grateful for FATE...and where it has led me. Trust in the Lord, with all Thine Heart.

I still need that book! And I'm still waiting for you to post your "book" of your latest happenings. I hope all is well! Happy Holidays! (I can say that now, right?!)

I am grateful for the trials in my life. They have tested me beyond what I thought I was capable of and I am a better person because of it. Heavenly Father is showing me I am always stronger than I think I am.
I am grateful for Thanksgiving and knowing I get to spend it with my family who I love more than anything.
I am also grateful for November because it is my BIRTHDAY this month!!!!

I would love any of the give aways, but I would most like the TOFW DVD. I know my sweet Mom would love to attend TOFW, but she is unable to attend with my and my sis-in-laws due to her health. She would be a most happy recipient of this giveaway if I were to win.

At this particular moment in time I'm grateful for a home that keeps me safe from the elements and that my family is safely around me. I've been so moved by what hurricane Sandy has done to the East Coast towns. I truly am blessed. I'm grateful too that I discovered your blog. It uplifts me and for that I'm grateful.

I LOVE November, it's the start of cooler weather (here in AZ) and my birthday month, it's the month of Thanksgiving and I just am in love with it!
I just attended the 10th anniversary TOFW in Phoenix, and I must say that I missed seeing your cute, bubbly face!
I would be ever so greatful for any of the gifts but I love surprises so that would be my pick. :)

Today I am grateful for a wonderful Stake Conference. Now the most challenging part, implementing the counsel received from leaders and the Spirit.
I would be the most thrilled with the book or the TOFW DVD. I loved getting to share pieces of the TOFW from Salt Lake with my family as I watched the livestream. And I'd love to see your message!

Today I am grateful for the priviledge I had of attending TOFW in Portland while my daughter attended TOFG. My daughter, Natalie, was paralyzed 5 years ago when she was just 9 years old and has been in a wheelchair ever since. This bright, beautiful young woman has not had it easy, especially being in a school with just a handful of members of the church. Her testimony was strengthened this weekend, as was mine, and it was exactly what she and I both needed to fill our spiritual cups!
I would love a copy of the TOFW dvd

Today I am grateful for many, many people, places, and things. But for an unknown reason today I feel especially grateful for the three MOMS in my life!
I am grateful for my birth-mom who gave me life and sacrificed much in placing me for adoption yet never stopped loving me.
I am grateful for my mom who took me in her arms when I was four days old and has taught me the true meaning of living a Christlike life.
I am grateful for my mom that raised a wonderful, mischievous little red haired boy. She taught him how to become the wonderful husband and father that he is today in our home.
Yes, today I am grateful for my mom, mom and mom!

as for winning a gift, I would love any surprise you choose to send! :)

I am grateful for lots of things but one thing that has been a blessing in my life is Adoption. We haven't yet been able to adopt a baby but without this wonderful gift of adoption we never would be able to have a family. So today I am grateful for the selfless birthmothers that have so much love for their child to give them something that they couldn't give their child themselves.
I would love to get a surprise gift. I am a sucker for surprises!!
