Digi Choosday - Last Minute Christmas

It's our final challenge for 2014 at Digi Choosday and the theme is Last Minute Christmas Gifts.

For my project I made a bottle tag and a little gift bag using paper, sentiments and the bow from the Festive Hollybobs Collection and from the pre-colored Winston Bear Celebrate from the Winston Deluxe Full Collection. This image is also available uncolored seperately HERE.

I printed several three of the bear images and cut out different parts of the bear and added some dimensional foam. I also added some glitter to their champagne glasses and to her pearls. On the gift bag, I added some stickles along the edges for added sparkle. You'll notice the bow was printed in two different sizes and then cut out and I added an added an adhesive-backed gem to the center for some holiday sparkle.

Be sure to check out the Digi Choosday Blog for more great ideas from the DT Team and to leave a link to your project for your chance at winning. We'll be back in the New Year with more great projects for you.

Sparkle Pink Peace

It's time for the last challenge of 2014 for In the Pink and the Pink Ladies have some beautiful inspiration for you so be sure to head over the In the Pink Challenge Blog and see for yourself. This week's theme is Pink Christmas and usual, your card needs to be primarily pink.

For my card, I used two die cuts - a Christmas tree from Memory Box and the Peace One-Liner die from Papertrey. I cut them from pink cardstock and then sprayed them with adhesive and doused them (and me) in pink glitter. I then sealed the glitter with a matte acrylic sealer and then sprayed the backs with adhesive and applied to my cardstock. The gems were the finishing touch.

I hope you will make a project and join the challenge by adding it to the linky. Thanks for stopping by.

Crafty Creations - Something to Die For
Addicted to CAS - Dots
The Paper Players - Black Tie

Baby It's Cold Outside - Sketch 17

It's time for a new sketch at Sugar Pea Designs and I hope you'll join us.

For my card this week I used the Frosty Friends stamp set but I masked off the little girl with a piece of tape and only stamped the snowman. I colored him with copics and then cut him out using the tag from the Gift Tag die set.

I used a little circle punch and some glitter to make the snow balls and some glittered felt for the snowbank.

You can play along with any stamp you like - but if you use SugarPea Designs, we'll top your voucher up to $15!

Feel free to rotate/flip the sketch, or exchange any shapes for what works with your design, just make sure the sketch is recognizable!

Combine our sketch with any other challenge(s) (except another sketch!)
Upload to your blog or other online gallery using keyword: SPDSS17
so that we may check out your beautiful work.

Add your link to the linkup on the Sugar Pea Blog. You'll find our current challenges on the sidebar.

Digi Choosday - Sending Christmas Wshes

It's time for a new Digi Choosday Challenge at Polka Doodles and the theme is Christmas! I don't know about you, but it's one of my favorite times of the year and I am getting ready to send out my cards.

For my project, I used this cute little image from the Festive Hollybob Collection called Christmas Card. She's also available as a stand alone digi. I also used digital papers along with one of the ticket sentiments from the same collection. I then added some of my own snowflake embellishments cut from felt and a fun ribbon from my stash.

As usual, I colored her with my Copic markers and then added some Polar White Flower Soft to her hat and cuffs. I also added some glitter to mittens and her hat.

Please be sure to check out the Digi Choosday Blog to see what all the other talented ladies have to inspire you. You won't be disappointed!

It's time for another challenge at The Stamping Chef and as usual it's Anything Goes so feel free to use any digi you have but we love to see you use a TSC image and if you do, your project gets entered twice. Check out all the rules HERE.

I don't know about you, but I have a teen living in my house and at the moment, most days I get an attitude so I thought this was the perfect image to use for my make this week. Her name is Attitude Avery. I got the idea from one of those posts I saw on my daughter's Instagram account last year.

I printed and colored the image and then fussy cut the trees.

Okay, now it's your turn to make something and post it to the linky on the Challenge site so I can visit and leave some love.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set which I stamped onto a die cut from the Layered Label die set.

Congrats to the Grad

I have a graduation card for a special girl to show you today.

One of my daughter's best friends is graduating from the 8th grade which, if you go to Catholic school, is a big deal. Her mother commissioned me to make a special card. I found this image from Saturated Canary and colored it with Copics in the school colors of blue and white. I also used my copics to color one of the paper flowers and then added some stickles to the petals.

I used one of the Spellbinders Deckled Rectangle dies to cut out the "diploma" with her daughter's
name and sponged along the edges and rolled it. The butterfly is also a Spellbinders die that I embossed with a little Frontage and also dsitressed with some ink.

I gave my friend a couple of choices for the sentiment and this is the one she and her husband chose. Of course I had to add a little bling along the side borders and I made it an easel card so she can display it. There is an area underneath that I left blank so she can write a personal message to her daughter.

Our daughters are in the same band together and love to "rock" out so I also made a tag. Stop by tomorrow to see how that came out.

May Heartfelt Creations Alumni DT Hop

Welcome to the May Heartfelt Creations Alumni DT Blog Hop! Be sure to comment along the way in order to be eligible to win the $25 gift certificate to the Heartfelt Creations Store. Comments close at midnight on Friday, May 30, 2014 and a random winner will be announced on Saturday, May 31st at noon.

This moth I decided to make a tent card using the tutorial I found on Splitcoaststampers.  I used Nestabilites dies to cut the center and placed a trimmed piece of the Fancy Lattice behind the "window" to give my card a trellis effect.

I stamped, colored and cut the butterfly using the coordinating dies and stamps. I used copics and then went over the whole butterfly with my clear Wink of Stella glitter pen. I added salmon pearls to the wings using a pearl pen. I stamped and cut the leaves and vine and then used some twinkling H2Os over top.

I had some left over Sunkissed Fleur pieces from another project. I used a gelato and some sparkly water colors to match my butterfly and then tucked them in around the frame and sentiment.

Don't forget to leave a comment here and on the other designers' blogs in order to be eligible for the $25 Heartfelt Creations gift certificate. Once again, you have until midnight Friday, May 30, 2014. You're next stop is Sarah Miller's Blog. You're going to love what she created!

I was asked to make a card for a special girl who was turning 10 this past weekend. She is a cutie with beautiful blonde hair and loves to play the guitar. I had recently see these box cards "pop" up all over blogland and I thought it would be the perfect interactive card for a 10 year old. I found the tutorial for the Pop-Up Box Card at Splitcoast HERE.

I found the perfect digital image from La La Land Crafts of the little girl with the guitar. I printed her and colored her with copics. I then cut her out and attached her to the card. I also cut out stars with several different dies, glittered and embossed them and attached then to some clear acetate. I also die cut the little girls name and age.

I used my clear Wink of Stella glitter pen on the band in her hat and also on her boots, as well as on the raised dots on the large embossed star behind her. Unfortunately, this was hard to capture with the camera but it adds a beautiful glimmer to the image.

I added a sentiment to the back and left a large area for her mom and dad to write a message.

I wish I could have been there to see her face when she opened it. This was one of those projects that I just loved making. I think I may have to make some more. ;)
