I'm a ZIVA!!

I've been keeping this a secrete for a very long time and now it's time to let the cat out of the purse!! hehehe
I'm officially a ZIVA.  Yep I'm a design team member for Z Becky Brown handbags.  Eeeeek!! Can this get any cooler?? I finally have a handbag that matches EVERYTHING!  All I have to do is swap out the inserts for something that matches.  Fabric, cardstock, copics or paint and anything else you can think of.  I have a bunch to share with you and I hope you like them very much.

For my very first assignment I created a purse insert that would remind me to be happy. One of my favorite quotes is "She creates her own sunshine" so I used it for the bases of this handbag.

I used the "White Night" handbag with nickel hardware and the smooth white handle.

TSG Birthday Challenge ....numbers

Hey Crafty Peeps – something exciting begins today… ;)
TSG Birthday Logo
September marks There She Goes’ FOURTH year in business, and to help us celebrate, we are having a month full of FUN! Starting today, and lasting through Friday, September 7th, we will be hosting one challenge per day. Each day will have a different birthday related theme, and will have a prize for the random winner chosen on Saturday, September 15th one $15 gift card per day! Each day will have it’s own Inlinkz for you to link your creation to, and then on Friday, we will post an Inlinkz for ANYONE who has created a card for each challenge. The random winner chosen from all that have finished EACH challenge, and added their name to the Inlinkz, will be entered to win our grand prize drawing-a $75 gift card to the There She Goes store!
Ready to get started? Today’s challenge is brought to us by Jessica! She has challenged us to make a card or project using numbers on it, with a birthday theme of COURSE! Remember to head over to the TSG blogand add your creation to the Inlinkz for TSGBC01!
Here are the rules: For the daily challenge prizes of $15, you can use stamps from any company you chose, but we would LOVE to see you using your There She Goes stamps!! However, to be eligible to win the Grand Prize of $75, all you entries much use There She Goes stamps only!
You will have until 8pmEST Friday, September 14th to finish this challenge, and the winner will be announced on Saturday, September 15th at 12amEST. That gives you over a week to get finished! If you happen to finish them all, and we hope that you do, you can add your name to the Inlinkz being posted on Saturday, September 8th to be entered to win the GRAND PRIZE!!!!

Since the first challenge was to include a number I thought it would be fun to just cut one out! I used "Jungle out there" plus "Numbered days" stamp sets for this card.

Be sure to head over to the TSG Blog for more eye candy!  And once you have made your card for today’s challenge head over there again to add it to the InLinkz! :)

Make a Splash

As promised here is another card that was published in Cricut Magazine June/July.  I was so excited to see this card featured in their sneak peek.  What a happy surprise especially since this is one of my favorites because it's so bright and fun.  I'm loving the postage graphic from Cricut.  I've been making different sizes all day.  That's one of the things I love about my Cricut I will never run out of my favorite shapes unless of course I run out of paper that is!

Hang in there

As you probably know I love to make paper piecings and couldn't resist making two more birdhouses. I think the sentiment "hang in there" is more appropriate for these cards don't you?  I made two cards but couldn't bring myself to make them identical, LOL.   I've also updated my Etsy shop and included these cards.  I can't believe I'm actually letting of some of my cards!!

Papercrafts for a baby boy

I joined a secret sister swap at Splitcoast Stampers. My sister is due to have a baby boy in May so I thought she might like some homemade baby stuff. Here as the things I made for her.
First I thought she might like a tear bear. The hardest part of making this was the eyes!
I used off white mulberry paper, chalk and cardstock to make him.
I made the whole thing up! But forgot to make a pattern. LOL
Next I made a small album that fits in a CD tin and decorated the outside of the tin. I made the little undershirt and again forgot to make a pattern. Yep I was on a roll that night!!
Here's the 3 pages that are inside the tin. They fold together accordian style and fit perfectly inside the tin.
I hope she likes this!

Shabby summer cards

Just a couple more fun paperpiecing cards. I hand drew the cherry and watermelon myself. I'm really loving making shapes out of pattern paper. The hard part is making the card to go with the shape I made! LOL.

Ice Princess and Figure Skate Template

I love making paper piecings. After I made the hockey skate I knew I needed to make a Figure Skate so here it is. The hard part was making a card to go with the skate! And just in case you would like to make the skate to I made a template for you. It even has the toe pick but it's hard to see in the photo. I thought the zigzag punch would make a cool border because it reminds me of the toe pick.

And if your wondering how I made the faux stitching, well I used a tool called a "tracing wheel", sewers and seamstresses use these to mark fabric. Years ago I used this tool to make stitches by loading the wheel with ink. It would leave a little ink trail of dots. Now I just run it along paper to leave an impression and it looks like stitches without a sewing machine. Pretty neat eh?
