Sweet Boy digital Page

I love scrapbooking digi style! I picked up this fabulous kit Strawberry Cafe from Sugarplum Paperie to make a layout. The cupcake is from the new digi stamp Yummy Doodles from Whimsie Doodles. I used the cupcake as my template to "cut out" the DP from the digi kit. Flattend the image and put a white stroke around the cupcake to make it look like a sticker.

Whimsie Doodles and ShortCuts

I thought I'd try to use the Whimsie Doodles digital "stamps" to make a digital scrapbook page. I used the Sunny Day digital stamps as my template to cut out the digital paper. When I was happy with the that I then flattened the image and added a white stroke to make it look like a sticker. I also used the NoteCut 1 from ShortCuts to frame the layout.
This is some pics of DH, DS and our dog Mirra going for one of our usual walks.

Day by day

I thought I would share this with you. It is this past month (March) in review. Weeds and Wildflowers are challenging their viewers to take a picture everyday and create a layout with those photos. I choose to do mine by the month. Here's my first one. Every picture was taken on the day it shows. Some have a little explanation about it.

Snow day digi page and NoteCuts

Good Wed morning everyone! I woke up this morning inspired to Digi scrap, and since I haven't felt like this since Nov I was excited to get started. This page is a combination of three things, first is a cool digi kit site that REALLY has my attention it's called Weeds and Wildflowers. If you like Eclectic you'll LOVE this site! The second inspriation is a sketch site for cards, tags and layouts. It's an awesome collection of sketchs that are really detailed with samples of each sketch, this site is called Page Maps. And last but not least I was trying to come up with something differnent to use the new NoteCuts from ShortCuts. Mix the three inspirations and you get this page!

This is my handsom son Koale. He was out playing last week on a snow day. He was doing flips in a snow bank and yelled for me to come and see his Gymnastics! I of course grabbed my camera.

I change the photo to B&W and cropped it around the NoteCut1 from ShortCuts. Throughout this month you'll see more cards using this shape from all the DT girls of ShortCuts.

Elvis is in my Blog!

As promised here's a layout of my son in his Elvis costume. He was very thrilled with the results. To be honest so was I!! The costume took about 2 days to complete, 1/2 an hour for hair and sideburns and he only Trick or Treated for 2 hours.
The wings on the front of the costume were hand drawn by me, I used Glitter paint and made every dot on the suit (my attempt at simulating rinstones).
People just loved seeing Koale at their door, they were taking pictures of him, and calling other family members to the door to get a look at Elvis. Koale was playing the part very well, saying "thank you, thank you very much" and posing for pics. He loved it!!

The digital layout was created by me, the kit I used is by NitWit Collections called "Can I be Frank?" The star and paint splat is by Miss Mint. The Post-It note is by Scrapadelic.
