Birthday Cupcakes a la Cricut

Here's my second layout for the Cricut 5th Anniversary Birthday challenge.  This layout also uses a tag which is just what the Die Cuttin' Diva's are looking for in their "Tag" you're it challenge #11.
It's a pretty easy challenge, play along if you love Die Cuts!
The Cricut challenge was to make a birthday layout without photos.  I loved making the giant cupcake and pin wheels.  And there's a plain'ol manilla shipping tag all jazzed up with cupcakes.  Just what the Die Cuttin' Diva's are looking for.

Cricut Cartridges used are:
Create a Critter-giant cupcake, postage, pinwheels and birthday hat
A Child's Year-small cupcakes
Storybook-Title

All you have to do is stop by and leave a comment to be entered into the draw.

Birthday Girl

Happy Monday!!  As some of you may know Cricut is releasing a new Expression for their 5th Anniversary and they hosted a layout contest.  The prize is of course a brand spanking new Expression 2.  The winners will be announced tomorrow after the Home Shopping Network.  Since I've submitted 2 layouts for the contest I'll be sitting on the edge of my seat watching the show on the internet to see if one of my layouts will be shown.  If I win I want a pink Expression!!  The neat thing is I didn't have to keep my submissions secret, I can share them with you all. So here's my first entry.
The Die Cuttin' Diva's are hosting a Time to mix it up challenge #10.  This time you just need to use 2 different cuts/dies/cartridges on 1 project.  I used the Robotz alpha and A Child's Year Cricut cartridge for this layout.

It's all about Air Soft

I just found a challenge blog this morning called Scrap Whispers and the challenge is called "Around the Campfire"  so anything  woodsy or about the outdoors.
My son just loves to play Air Soft games.  He even has his own field (fight zone) to play in.  He and his friends organize a game and play for hours.  Here is a layout of him and his favorite gun.
Soldier Ian from The Greeting Farm
was the perfect image to add to this 9x9 layout.

Creepy Couple

I love halloween!  My husband and I love to dress up and go out with our son to while he Trick or Treat's.  Hubby wanted to be a Zombie and I a wicked witch.  Like the makeup?  I did it all myself!  It was so fun.

Black cardstock (spider body)
White cardstock (spider eyes and mat)

How to make the spider
1. punch the body from black cardstock.
2. clip four "legs" 2 from the top and 2 from the bottom
3. Glue to white cardstock and cut around the body leaving a little space.
4. Punch the eyes, add buttons and adhere to spider body.

Too cute

Today's post is a scrapbook page I made a while back.  I don't know why I haven 't shown this until now.  This is the second page I've made this year.  So far I have 5 pages made.  I can't believe it!  Anyway here's a page of my son, the picture was taken a few years ago.  I used OA Buddies (Oliver and his puppy) from The Greeting Farm to make this page.  I thought Oliver looked just like my son with his ball cap!
