Owl fridge magnet
Today I'm going to show you a little felt magnet I made using the Halloween Hootenannies Owl pattern. I wanted to make something out of felt for a while now but I only had 1 white sheet so I was holding off till I could get more colours. Well it turns out I'm not that patient so I looked around my craft room for something I could use to dye the felt. I found my Copic refills and as I crossed my fingers hoping it would work I set out to dye the felt with the marker ink. Well it worked!! It took a while for the ink to dry and made the felt a little stiff but I managed to make a little Owl magnet.
Here's a card I made using the same image
If you want to see the full tutorial on how I made this owl stop by the Whimsie Doodles blog for all the details.

Mother's Day mini hat
I saw this hat on Splitcoast Stampers and I just had to try one for myself. I saved all my empty ribbon spools and brought them out to decorate.
Now I have a mini storage hat for a little gift for Mom.
1. start with the empty ribbon spool.
2. peel off the top of the ribbon spool. (hat base)
3. Take a smaller ribbon spool and remove the bottom (make sure it fits inside the bottom spool) then trim the top edge along the spool center. (hat top)

Accordian Baby Girl Album
Warning today's post contains a lot of photos. Today I want to show you a baby girl album I made for a Secret Sister swap I'm at at SCS. My SS has a baby girl and hasn't found the time to start an album so I thought I'd make her an accordian travel album. The whole 5 page album fits inside a DVD. And I decorated the cover. I hope she likes it.

Interactive get well card
Have you ever visited someone's blog and saw something that made you say to yourself "now why didn't I think of that"? Well I visited Liegh O'Brien's blog and said just that. She altered a children's toy and put it on a card. So I just had to try one for myself. And just incase you want to make one I've included a tutorial on how I put one together.

Altered Holiday Wooden Ornament
So I was in Wal Mart the other day looking for sales on Christmas crafts when I came across a little box of Wooden ornament shapes. And I thought boy they might be cute decorated with paper instead of painted. So I picked them up (along with some other items) and brought them home. I really liked the shape of the sleigh so I started with that. It was easy to glue paper onto the wooden shape. Glue your paper to the front of the ornament. Then turn the shape over and with an exacto knife cut along the edge. Flip over and decorate. The box contains 36 pieces, 6 Santas, 6 Reindeer, 6 Sleds, 6 Ornaments and 6 tags.
The snowflake was inspired by Sweet Miss Daisy, she makes the best snowflakes!! Here's her blog so you can see for yourself. http://sweetmissdaisy.typepad.com/

An oldie but goodie!
I thought I'd dust off the ol microscope slides and give'em another try. Being christmas and all I naturally found myself making chirstmas slides. I think these make cute tree ornaments or you could slip one on a gift attached to a tag. Hope you like them!

A Rocking Christmas
Rocking chair pattern by http://www.petrinacase.com/
As soon as I saw this rocking chair template I just had to have it. The trouble is what to do with it when you have it..LOL It would make a really cute christmas ornament. There are so many things you could put in the seat. Pumpkins, real treats (like Kisses), a heart or heart box, flowers....oh I could go on and on. Hahaha.
