Chuck & Snick Update:

Hello Everyone... greetings from the Worden household!

I've been at my job for two months now working as a Medical Assistant for a Podiatrist and I'm really enjoying it. I've realized that I HATE the smell of dirty feet & toenail dust but I really like the other stuff like unwrapping post-op bandages, seeing amputated toes & feet, taking out stitches and watching the Dr. remove toenails or pull long pins from surgery out of people's toes!

Chuck and I celebrated our 8-year wedding anniversary last week on October 19th. We have a tradition on our anniversary of repeating what we did on our first date, which is going to dinner at Macaroni Grill on Rainbow & Lake Mead followed by Borders Bookstore, Cost Plus and then ice cream at Cold Stone.

Chuck has been out of work for exactly one year now which amazes me that despite the situation, we really have been so blessed! We have somehow been able to make our house payments and have the things we need. It has been a rough year and very difficult but little miracles and blessings happen all the time that make us realize that Heavenly Father is watching out for us.

We and our next door neighbors put in sod grass a couple weeks ago. Wayne and Rylan were very sweet and came over to help. Chuck put in a little retaining wall around the tree out front so I can plant flowers in it. The other neighbor next door gave us his leftover block and we had just enough blocks to complete it (we just need to cap it now). I love having grass.... something that most people probably take for granted but I am soooo happy every time I come home and see grass instead of dirt. It only cost us $100 to do our front yard! A third neighbor brought over three different pots with cactus & aloe vera in them.

Chuck had a Happy 50th Birthday on October 8th.
His sister Shaunna sent a sympathy card along with the gift shown below offering "support" during this difficult time. Ha ha!!

I was released from my calling as Enrichment Leader in Relief Society about a month ago just got called at the Beehive advisor in my ward.
Here's a pic from the Halloween dance on Wednesday.

Chuck has been in Phoenix with his sister Liz for just over a week now. She came and picked him up and said she was keeping him for two weeks! He's been having fun hiking, playing glow-in-the-dark frisbee, going to the pumpkin patch with Emily and her kids, etc. I took this picture from his niece Sadie's facebook. He's holding up "Vampire Wine"... yikes!
