Jared's Surgery

Jared's surgery on his thumbs was yesterday. He has been so cute. He hates the bandages on his hands. I wasn't anticipating him being helpless either. The doc made it sound like nothing. But, he can't (or won't, it's hard to tell with a 2-year-old) do anything with his hands. He can't eat or drink, or even climb onto the couch and play Lego guys, without help. I've really been at his beck and call. Which is ok! I have to move his "guys" where he wants them and remove and replace heads, pants, etc. like I used to before he could do it himself!

Bilateral trigger thumbs - that's as far as they straighten.

Update on Kevin

I just got off the phone with Kevin - he's on his way up to Beaver Mountain to go camping with Kaden & Kobe.  He gave me some updated medical information and told me that I could post it to the blog.  

Kevin will be going back in for surgery next Monday, July 13th at Spring Valley Hospital (not sure of the time yet).  He will most likely be in the hospital for approximately three days.  They will be going in to remove the metal plate from Kevin's head because he has been fighting a constant infection that will not clear up.  In addition, they will be cleaning & irrigating the area in an attempt to clear up the infection and the doctor will also be draining the cavity where the brain tumor was removed.
