Bunker Family Trip

Lance, Natalie & Lyla left on New Year's Day for Humboldt State Park north of San Francisco to see the redwoods.  Natalie said it was "AMAZING" and one of the best trips they had ever been on.

The fog was so pretty!

Lyla had a blast playing at the beach

One of the coolest beaches I've ever been to.  Rocky.  Foggy.
Perfect sand.  And we were pretty much the only ones there.

Happy Birthday Natalie!

Lance - "Natalie has had a big year! For most of the year she has been pregnant and since July 15th she has been a mommy. She has been very busy taking excellent care of her family. She is such a hard worker. She is always doing something to make life better for me and Lyla. When she gets a minute to herself she likes to read a good book here and there, play the piano (which me and Lyla love) , capture one or two of Lyla's little smiles with her camera (she's very good with that camera) , and every so often she gets to soak in the tub and relax. She is such a good wife and mother. We could not possibly do without her. We love you so much Natalie. Happy Birthday! Love Lance and Lyla."

Mom - "Happy Birthday, Natalie!!! We love you. The name Natalie means "little one born at Christmas" and she was a Christmas present for us in 1974. Natalie is very talented and can do anything she sets her mind to. She is a great Mom to little Lyla. She used to get wild and crazy when she was making up dances or videos. Here are a couple of photos that were taken in 1997, one on her birthday and one on Christmas Day".

Suzy - "Natalie has always been one of my best friends. In high school, when I wasn't hanging out with Milo, I was usually with Felisa, Natalie and cousin Cindy. We always made fun of her because she'd always end up with some kind of food between her thighs after lunch. Don't ask! She wasn't a drama queen but was always popular with everyone and was even the Homecoming Queen. She has always been a lot of fun and is very talented and creative. Noob is awesome at everything she does and I'm sure she's the same with being a wife and mother. She likes things neat and clean (and Vick, I do remember her marking the middle of your room with masking tape so you couldn't cross over).

She's never afraid to try new things and enjoys capturing the beautiful moments in life. A few years ago in Logandale, she came over early in the morning to go kayaking with me. She wanted to make sure we got on the water before the sunrise. While we were watching the sunrise, she pulled out a special little breakfast she had made including little muffins and a fancy, orange flavored yogurt with rind and nuts (she had prepared this the night before and it was quite a process to make it). She's always branching out and trying some new recipe.

I also remember the summer before we moved, Noob and Mom had planned on driving out on the lakeshore road to watch the meteor shower. They invited me to come along, which I did, but ended up falling asleep. Mom and Noob stayed awake for hours watching the meteors, eating popcorn and talking.

I have so many fun memories of us in school and mutual and of course being at home playing school, making huts and filming silly videos. If only we could find our "party time with plygs" cooking show of us making meadow muffin cookies!

I have so many fun memories of being with Noob and I am so happy that she has Lance and Lyla to start making memories with. Happy Birthday Noobie! I love you!".

Vicki - "Noob and I didn't get along much as kids. She always hated how messy I was (and probably still does). But even so, I always looked up to her and always wanted to be like her. I wanted to start playing the violin, because she started playing the viola (then years later when she switched to cello, what did I do? I switched too!) I also started playing volleyball because she did. Even to this day I see how talented she is and I want to be just like her. She is amazing at photography, playing the piano & cello, art, cooking & baking, and any other creative thing you can come up with! Noob is also very spiritual. I am very proud of who she has become and very happy to see her with her cute little family. Nooby, you're a wonderful sister and I love you very much!!".
