Happy Halloween! Anyone want a "Treat"?

Hi!  It is October 31st.. and that is not only Halloween, but the day I promised to choose a reader that posted on last weeks blog candy post.

Now we are running out the door for a few errands and then a little hopefully to hit a few antique shops. But before we go I wanted to go ahead and pick the winner so you don't have to wait around til late in the day.

To speed things up I yelled out to Hubby and asked him to choose a number from all those that left comments. He said.. "how about 13? That is A-Rod's number and he could use some luck next year." Even when baseball season is over, he is still reading and associating with it. :0)

So number 13 is our winner - and you can thank the Yankee's giving A-Rod that number.

Recovered, but now catching up and cleaning up with some Candy

Howdy  - well we are finally feeling recovered from our first antique show, but now in a bit of a panic. You see... we sold some of our favorite items in our booth and now we are on the hunt for more key goodies for our next show in a little more than two weeks.

This afternoon I realized that it was actually Wednesday and I had not been on to blog. I really had intended to do a bit of crafting and blogging by now really! But you see I have just a bit of an issue....

You see I got a new antique cabinet this past weekend :0) - I'll show it off on Sunday once it is all tidy and in its place. But in order to get it in my craft room, I had to take out a piece. We decided that the Texas Courthouse Desk that we just got a little while ago was the best to go. It wasn't working out well for me to use with the slanted desk top. And I couldn't put my die cutter on it or the doors would not open. So it will go off to be sold to someone else to love. Yes, little sad... but not when I found the piece I did. But back to why I haven't crafted. You see I had already filled the other cabinet. And in a rush to get it out and the new one in while we had some help (the new piece is HUGE and HEAVY!) all of that "stuff" just came flying out and stacked everywhere.

So I have NO where to craft, not even a little corner to color, and if I could find a corner... I can't find my Copics! LOL So I am going work on cleaning up all of that the next couple of days and then I can craft over the weekend.

But while moving things around I found a few things and thought... I need to share these with someone. So I added some really gorgeous ribbons, a few stamps and have put together a little Candy for one of you wonderful readers - You have stuck it out with me while I have been just a tad on the nuts side the past few weeks. Its ok.. I really was flipping out and a bit nuts we can say that honestly.

So whats in this pile?
Three retired Sugar Nellie - Rachel Anne Miller stamps
A Fiskar's Cocoa Mug punch, brand new!
A Sarah Kay Shepherd Stamp
A Heltz Cuppleditch Surprise Stamp
And a bunch of my favorite woven lace Ribbon!

So the details -

I'll ship world wide, and so we don't have to wait too long, how about if we just run this until next Wednesday? On the 31st I'll pop on at some point during the day and announce a winner that has commented on this post.  No other requirements. I just want to share with someone that is a reader and been there checking on me to make sure I am still here :0)

Ok... I am going to go and dive into that pile and start sorting.... Thanks so much for visiting me :0)

Where have I been? How about some Candy?

Where have I been? Man, I can't believe Saturday was the last day I posted! I have no excuse really - I took Sunday completely off. Didn't even turn on my computer. Spent the day with Hubby helping him bring in loads of hay. I say helping very loosely :0) I still only have one hand to work with. My rope burned hand is getting much better but I still can't use it as much as I would like. So I spent the day riding around with Hubby and holding gates for him. Monday and Tuesday - I have no clue where those days went. LOL

So to make it up to you I thought I might offer up some candy. Bribe yes... but a really great one!

After the close of CHA- the very generous Heidi  from Stampavie gave me a few of the brand new Stampavie images to bring home and share with you for some blog candy.

What do we have here?
Tina Wenke's - Bunny with Butterflies (pop back tomorrow to see this in color wink wink)
Sarah Kay's - A Little Bit of Country
and one of the new sentiments - Tina Wenke's Celebrate!

So you interested in winning? :0)
Just make sure to leave a comment here on this post - how about if you visit the new release page at Stampavie HERE and then let me know what image is your favorite! There are quite of few pages of really wonderful image... may be hard to narrow it down to just one I know - LOL

Oh while you are at the Stampavie site - if you haven't signed up for Stampavie Creations, our newsletter make sure to do it HERE - the latest issue will be sent out later this week - you don't want to miss it!

So just leave me a comment here, and what stamp you like and that is about it, I'll ship world wide :0) And I'll pick a winner next Tuesday night ok?

Happy Thanksgiving - Meet Cleatus and BLOG CANDY WINNER

Happy Thanksgiving for all the US people - For everyone else Happy Thursday! ;0) Today is my Blog Candy winner day, but I also wanted to introduce you to the newest member of the Animal Cracker Family!
Lillie interrupted our house re-do yesterday... she was in labor! The first baby was out and already talking when we ran outside. But the second one... well it was breech, and stuck. After about 20 minutes we finally got it free and out. Sadly it was too late. Thank God Lillie was ok. And loving on her first baby not watching us take off the second one. She lost her last baby, it was only one, and it really effected her badly. She looked for that baby for days and then started stealing other babies. Since she is the biggest and oldest... she kept what she took. Until we moved her out into a small pen on her own. But this time... she is obsessing over her son - and showing him off to everyone. He is a cutie.... I named him Cleatus. Hubby just shakes his head at me. LOL I don't know why... he looks like a Cleatus doesn't he?

Now the only babies left for the year is Darlene and Victoria... Darlene is looking pretty close. Vicki.. nope no signs yet. So two baby donkeys to look forward to still  -

NOW ... time for my Blog Candy Winner!

Ashley Lydia said...one of my favorite holiday traditions is singing the 12 days of Christmas on christmas eve with my family. We all pick out a day from a hat and we have to sing that part. Its loads of fun, especially the 5th day solo lolol. Asides from that I love watching the thanksgiving day parade with my family, and then gong shopping with my mom and all the sisters my aunts on black friday. We all take turns buying "surprise" shirts that are revealed during thanksgiving dinner and we all wear them while we shop the next day. Its so much fun, im tearing up because this year im away from my family for training ,I will be with them but I miss them so much. Ohhh the memories =)

So Ashley Lydia... if you will email me at michelleo@hughes.net   - I will get your Candy out to you!

I am already stacking up things for the next candy! So look out for the next candy.....

Ok... gotta go and find my kitchen in the house repairs so I can start my Thanksgiving Dinner going. See you tomorrow for Just Magnolias and Hanglars Challenge!

Me and My Space - Needing a New Home - More Clean Out Candy!

Today I thought I would share more of my stuff with you - Just breaks my heart that I have stamps that have not seen the light of day, much less ink! So I am offering up more for you to love and use for me -

Also in my candy, I found a box this week with lots of "things" in it. You know those things you pick up over the years on sale, at conventions and in kits. You mean to use them on something... but they end up lost in a box. Yep.. my box is full of those "things" -

So here is my Candy -
I have Four Whiff of Joy Stamps - three images and one Christmas sentiment. I think I may have used these each maybe once....

And then there are two Sugar Nellie images - again.. maybe once they have been inked up.

Then there is a small pile of my "Things"... chipboard stars, felt embellishments, stickers, fabric labels, stickers and wood embellishments.  Lots of goodies for card making, scrapbooking or whatever you are working on.

A couple of close ups of the stamps.....

Now what do you need to do to have a chance to win? Leave a comment on this post - how about telling me about you favorite holiday tradition? That is it! I'll ship world wide, so no worries there. And I'll pick a winner next Thursday! Share my candy if you like :0)

Wow.. it has taken me over an hour to get this post done this morning. We have a thunderstorms moving over us! And Satellite Internet so it isn't working so well this morning, but that is due to rain so YeA!  So far we have gotten close to 2 inches of rain this morning - That is such a blessing!!! Hubby got up at the crack of dawn this morning and put down 100lbs. of grass seed, and finished up just as it started to rain really good. No wind to blow away this seed! Just good heavy rain to soak it in.... Now you will see us out there each day looking for green sprouts... LOL

Have a wonderful day - us... right now we are just enjoying watching the rain - then errands later in the day.

Me and My Space - More Peeking in my Drawers and a Candy Winner :0)

Hi - Did you think I had fallen off the the earth again? Sorry - was a tough couple of days, allergies, headache, and then yesterday I had my first big eye exam since I finished up with my accident last year. I can report for that - everything is good. My "good" eye - I say that loosely cuz I am blind as a bat without my glasses, but she said everything was healthy and my injured eye seems to have healed well and adjusted well. Now I have an appointment in a month to see the Dr. that made my prosthetic eye and check on it and polish it. Yes... I have to have it polished once a year - Make sure I have that sparkle in my eye :0) Anywho... I have been wiped out and worn out. Having trouble even crafting the past week.

So for today I though I would show you the other three Canvas Dotted Shelf Baskets... I showed the first three last week - This is the three furthest away from my desk.

Top Drawer -
We will call this my hmmmm..... To alter drawer? To Decorate drawer? I don't know what to call it! But it has many of the smaller things I have in my stash to decorate and or alter in future projects. Blank Calendars, photo books, ornaments, Coasters, Jumbo paper clips, Canvas, and notebooks. Lots and Lots of little goodies to play with!!

Middle Drawer -
Simply put.. Envelopes - yep... all sizes shapes and colors. Boring, but very necessary as a card maker ;0)

Bottom Drawer -
Oops... Autie wanted to see in this drawer too... sorry :0)

Lets try again -
This is what I am calling my overflow and not used much drawer. I have a pile of mulberry roses that wouldn't fit in my main flower drawer. As I use them up these will go and fill in. The white Baby wipe box has little inks, pens and markers in it. The clear divided box has beads. And then in the front I have a couple of Fiskars tools for working with silk flowers.

Yep... overflow and not used much. Why here right next to my desk? I am hoping later to clean out a shelf across the room and move things there. But for now it is at least all sorted here.

Now I have been just giggling with excitement over this....

I was trying to come up with a way to label my canvas drawers that are my daily used items on my desk. ( I have showed them on a past Me and My Space Post ) NOW...  HOW CUTE DID THESE TURN OUT??!!  I used my Nesties Fancy tag, cut out blue card stock, typed out my labels... Bling, Ink Pads, Glues and Tapes... etc...  glued them onto the tags, then used mini brads and poked straight into the canvas and attached them! Totally makes me smile and look up and see them! I am working on labels for all the drawers all around me now!

Alright I'll settle down now and do the winner for last weeks stamps -

I keep several folders full of stamped images for quick cards. The blog candy stamps look scrumptious. I would love to give them a new home. Great job cleaning! Have a great day!!

Karen - email me (michelleo@hughes.net)  your mailing address and I'll get these out to you ASAP!

Alright I am off now - lots to catch up on and I think Hubby and I are going to run a few errands first and then come home to chores.

Me and My Space - A Day Early - Re-Organized and Blog CANDY Stamps Again!

Hi - This week I have LOTS to post... and Wednesday was getting really crowded, so I decided that on weeks that Wednesday's are my Inky Impressions Challenge (every other week) then I will post my Me and My Space post on Tuesdays. Is that ok? Hope so... Plus this week I was excited cuz I actually have stuff to show! I spent all day Sunday cleaning out and re-organizing my Dotted shelves. It was a double header Yankee/Red Sox day and so I had lots of time to work and yell at the tv! GO YANKEES!!! ;0) Ok.. so here is what I call my "Dotted Shelves"

I love these dotted basket shelves. These are basket like things that slide - I took everything out of all 6 of them, and a few other boxes in my area and sorted everything out. Was so cool! I found things I haven't seen in years!  The top of the two shelves, on the left is one of those Making Memories boxes, the one with the three levels and the three little drawers in it. I got mine a long time ago at Tuesday Morning.. for like $4.00 - I put things in there that I want to use - Need to see things. I'll show this off closer in the future. Then in front of that, where I spent most of the time sorting.... and I just can't wait to show you these two clear boxes... my new "embellishment boxes" So fun!

Oh I am just so full of teasers of things I plan to show off aren't I? LOL Then on the top right, My Copics, My Letraset Aqua Markers in the black storage binders, and my ATG gun. I am still working on storage of my Promarkers - I am thinking for those I am going to have to make sure I have the space for ALL of them... I am really loving them.

But today I decided to show you the three drawers closest to my chair/desk -
Top Drawer -
I decided that here I need to put things I use- new and keep an eye on things. Right now I am just nuts for my 6x6 and 8x8 pads. I have some of my favorites pulled from the shelves - the newer ones, the ones I am "into" right now and of course the Holiday ones - I have had them just stacked on my desk and I was moving them all around. Now they have a place in my working drawer. Also here in the back - my new vintage ribbon from Etsy and some of my favorite ribbons. There are some on the rolls that I need to take off the rolls and put onto my hanging rings, just need to find the time. Then also here are some of my stamped images. Some I have done and some shared by sweet friends. Sadly my Hanglar and Stangler stamped images are starting to run out... I may have to reach out and see about getting more :0)

This drawer just is my happy drawer  - loving all the stuff in here -

Now middle drawer -
I found that I have ALOT of chipboard type of things. Grungeboard - again a Tuesday Morning purchase found them on sale a year or so ago.. two packages for like $5.00 I got a few you can see... and I hardly ever use it! Putting it here is my attempt to try and use it in the future. I also put all the other shapes of chipboard... ovals, tags, flourishes. And then the black and white folders on the left. Those are rub on alphabets from American Crafts. I have these and used them with my scrapbooking. When I dove into the "Stamping" world, they got buried.. I am thinking I need to use them more. I just hope they are still good.

And the bottom drawer -
Again ... my past. THICKERS mainly here in this drawer. A few other brands of letters and shapes. But mostly Thickers. Me and my Scrapbook buddies well... we were sort of Thicker nuts for a time. And when our local store closed... pout pout... Her giant wall of them were put on sale.... I stocked up, hey it was a really good sale! And not long after that I went more into my stamping. I found these last week packed up in a box in the closet. I got to thinking it was a shame to waste them. So I am going to try and find ways to use them. If I can't in the coming months.. or find that they just are not my thing... They may have to find a new owner - to much space!

Now that is the first three drawers. I'll show the other three next week ok? OH... and I did say something in the title about Blog Candy Stamps again didn't I? Well.. in cleaning I found even more stamps that are sadly not being loved. So I am passing them on to someone to love - Is that you?

Now what do we have here?
I found a Wags and Whiskers Stamp - too cute, I think I used it once or twice.
Three Sweet Nellies - One brand new never used, and two that I used a few times.
Three Whiff of Joys - I don't think I have ever put ink on these.
And THEN... A HANGLER stamp!! Why am I adding this little jewel? I have two of this one image - so I am sharing!

So eight stamps need to find someone to love them. All you need to do to be in the drawing is comment here. I'll ship world wide. That is about it. Next Wednesday I will do a random drawing for a winner :0)

Still cleaning out areas... feels good to get organized and even more to find things "new" to me in my own stash that I have forgot about. It is like shopping without spending more money! Hubby would roll his eyes here and say "Uh but you already spent the money" Hey saving money is all I am thinking now! LOL

Have a great day - I'll be back tomorrow with my Inky Impressions post!

Me and My Space - Stamp Winner and New INKY Impressions news!

OOPs... Darn Blogger scheduler and I disagreed again... you got this early... sorry :09

Hello - LOTS of news today.... :0) So I am combining what should be two post into one is that ok? I'll get the winner of the Me and My Space Blog candy winner from last week at the end of the post... :0) drama building ok? But first I wanted to share something really fun and exciting!!! :0)

A few weeks ago, I received an email asking me if I wanted to be a guest designer for Inky Impressions. I was excited, as I was sad that Spoon was ending, and I really needed something to cheer me up, and that day I got the email! Then while chatting back and forth, they asked if I would please finish the year with the team! HOW fun and cool is that!

So every other Wednesday I'll be part of the Inky Impressions team and sharing! Their stamps are really cute and I am happy to be sharing them with you. And today is my first card with the DT challenge! The challenge was Dressed to Impress... I think Princess Lili is pretty impressive ;0)
I made an easel card, with lots of pearls and bling - The papers were just TOO PERFECT if you ask me. They are My Minds Eye Lost and Found Market Street. Yes, that word Princess is part of one of the pattern papers :0)
Here you can see the EK Success border punch with the bling and crown papers.
Princess Lili is colored with my Promarkers: Ivory, Blush, Oatmeal, Caramel, Burnt Sienna, Pale Pink, Baby Pink, Dusky Rose, Pear Green and Powder Blue. The entire dress is covered with Smooch... in person it is really sparkly really pretty.

I had fun coloring her and can't wait for the next challenge in two weeks! But until then, please make sure to pop over to Inky Impressions and see all the DT work, zoom around and see all the inspiration there (there are two places to see the challenges and inspirations ok ) and then you can pop over to the store and see all the greatness that is available!

Me and My Space - Started going through my unused stamps - You want them?

I have started to look through my boxes and boxes of stamps. I have lots in CD cases in decorative boxes.
These two boxes are FULL of stamps in CD's - primarily my older first stamps. Lots of alphabets and larger stamps. I have started putting some of these on my for sale page, I hope to add more in the coming weeks. Just been so swamped lately to get that done.

I then have my more recent unmounted stamps from my more love companies in my clear boxes sorted by company.
This is the best system I have found. And easiest for me to use. You can read the details HERE on this post.

I spent some time going through these boxes last night. And found that there are some stamps that honestly I just don't see me using in the future and that makes me sad, so I figure that they need to start moving on to those that will use them. Some I may put on the for sale page, but I thought that this week I needed to show some love to a loyal reader....

Do you like these?
I have a brand new Greeting Farm - Never used
Three Sugar Nellies - barely used maybe once or twice?
Two Whiff of Joy - One used once, one brand new.

So there are 6 fun stamps - you think you might ink them up and use them? If so then leave me comment here. Next Wednesday I'll draw a winner and announce who the new owner will be. I'll ship world wide so no worries.

I really need to move at least 1/3 of my stamps to new homes so keep an eye... some will go for sale... some I just may pop in and do a quickie blog candy :0)

Hubby and I are running a few errands today, working around the property and keeping our attention on the news and praying for those effected by the wildfires here in Texas. I have had a few emails. We are safe here, no real danger near us at this time... but scary how many fires are just popping up anywhere anytime. My biggest fear in life is fire out here. Yes I worry about our home to a degree... but my bone chilling fear is the animals. It just isn't physically possible to load out 40-50 animals fast with one small animal trailer, and then where do you go with them? Gives me chills.... We will continue to pray for safety here and for all of those effected. Please say a quick one for them all... and that we will get some rain to give some relief for all of us.  I feel like a broken record...

Have a wonderful Wednesday. Hugs and

Me and My Space - Clean Out Candy!

HI - today I thought I might do something a bit different. Now we know I have been cleaning out and trying to thin out. So I have a big plastic box full to go to a charity this fall, and I am still sorting and filling it with things. But then I am finding some things that well.... I figured a reader might enjoy too! Sad that there are brand new things in my stash that I have never used, but it is how it is. And that might be a good thing for one of you!!

And then while stacking up a few things to share I remembered I still had a couple of stamps that Heidi from Stampavie sent me to share with readers - NOW we have some REAL candy!

So for my first candy (yes I think I will have a few with my stash that I am finding)

For my first Me and My Space Clean Out Candy I have:
the two wonderful Stampavie Stamps -
Gillian Roberts Bake a Treat
Sarah Kay image Rose Cuddling the winter Bunny  -  Two of my personal favorites -
Then I found a Brand new EK Success Jumbo Cupcake punch. How did I get two of them? LOL
And then I found two SEI Preservation Albums. Actually I found a bunch of them... but I have put two in the candy - an 8x8 and a 8.5 X 5.5 - these are fabulous albums to alter!!

Here is a close up of the stamps -
 And the punch -
So what do you need to do to have a chance at these?

How about telling me your FAVORITE Organizing tip or storage? Some thing you do, or even something you saw on the internet! I need some more help around here to get more to fit in small spaces! ;0)

I'll ship world wide so no worries there. If you would like to share that I have candy that is great but not necessary.

I'll have random number generator pick a winner and announce next Wednesday on my Me and My Space post ok?

Gabrielle update - she is doing much better, still running a bit of fever during the heat of the day, but not nearly as high. Another day or so of keeping a really close eye on her, and if all is well I'll let her and her Mom Lacey back out into their pasture with their buddies.

Have a wonderful Wednesday- me... gotta get to work ACK!! Look at the time!

Me and My Space - Winner - Stampavie Stamps and my Space

Hi - Thanks so much for all the ideas of future post for the Me and My Space post. Some I have already covered, but I am always re-working and re-doing my space so I am sure I will be covering them again :0)

One of the most requested is how I store my wood stamps. I am VERY fortunate to have a very handy Hubby and I have a wonderful wall of stamps - just in case you missed it in THIS post way back in November. Here is the photo again.
This is an older photo :0) Yes there are a few more stamps on the shelf. And they are two deep on the shelf. Other than trying to keep them sort of organized by brand, and holidays - they are just sort of up there... LOL I need to take them all down and sort them a little better, especially all those sentiments! But that task is just more than I can handle at the moment.

I will work on some post about how I sort my unmounted stamps, sorting dies, paper and such in the future. I love the idea of showing projects in the works... I'll try to do that as well... I just get going and forget to snap photos. And I will also show new things I get, new products and tools. One of my favorite things is enabling others LOL -

So lots planned for my Wednesday post - Please if you want to see anything new, or have a question about my Space just shout out in the comments!

Well do you want to know the winner of the two Stampavie Stamps now? Okey Dokey -

Random Number Generator chose number 12!!! ( I lost the link to it sorry... )

Me and My Space - Messy Desk.. how about a Stampvie Blog Candy?

Well I have been literally buried under my projects on my desk. I have had lots of projects due for Dt's and I have been honestly playing with a new toy and just not been as organized as I should be. You see... I jumped off my wagon and went to look at readers, and laptops - I have been saving my pennies wanting a new laptop and then lately I have really been wanting a reader. So I merged my wants into one item and now I have to learn a whole new world. I got me an IPad2! And this post is a sort of test for me to see if I can actually accomplish things on it besides playing games and reading. So here I am on it typing up my blog post... and it all seems to being going well.. lets try a photo....

That was hard..... LOL I do believe I am going to have to take me some online classes on how to work this thing! But I think you can see the photo and see that my desk is a total mess!
Lets try another photo and see if I can do it a second time... how about some BLOG CANDY?

Heidi at Stampavie was very nice and supplied me some stamps to share with my readers - These are two stamps - One is a brand new release Laurence Collection "Explorer" and then one of our favorite Sarah Kay's "First Kiss" -

To win these two great BRAND NEW stamps - just leave me a comment on this post - how about letting me know what you would like me to show and talk about on my ME and MY SPACE post on Wednesdays and then next Wednesday I'll do a random number generator for a winner. World Wide - so no worries there.

This was a tough post.. LOL So far I have been working on it for over an hour and I don't think the photos are loaded correctly. Guess we will see when the scheduler pops it up huh? Anyone out there use an IPad???? HELP where can I get some lessons? My main problem with this post is I can scroll in the Compose screen.. and the photo thing is not loading the photos the right size and letting me re-size them. I will figure this out!!! If you know though let me know huh?

A Spoon Full of Sugar - EASTER! and The BLOG CANDY WINNER!

A Spoon Full of Sugar this week is getting us ready for Easter... wow... Easter is coming quick isn't it???

Well for my card I knew the second I found out what the challenge was which image I wanted to use. That doesn't happen very often... I sit and go through images and work around and decide... but this one. Nope, got up from the computer and went straight to EASTER CHICK!
Love this image from Stampavie and artist Penny Johnson. Just the perfect cute Easter image! I colored my image with Copics. I then cut it out with an Oval Nestie... then I cut the bottom off. Why..I don't really know, LOL maybe to make it look more like an egg?
Then my card - I pulled out papers from Reminisce, their Easter collection from last year I think. And then I matched them with a cream colored card stock for the base, then a blue and yellow card stock. The two colors just so I could punch the Martha Stewart Chick Border punch and layer them to show off those chicks in the yellow they were meant to be. I sewed everything down with a zig zag stitch for some added fun. Then to the flowers.
Love these flowers!! These are some of the new spring flowers I got in the floral section at Hobby Lobby. These are paper and foam. Love the colors, and the look of them. I tried to match my colored flowers on the image to these.. LOL tried.

And I just had to show a close up of those chicks... love this punch :0) And then for some extra - I added two rows of pearls across the striped paper band.

Hope you enjoyed my Easter card - but do make sure to visit A Spoon Full of Sugar and see all the DT's fun Easter projects!

How about announcing the winner of the Letraset Aqua-Markers??? So excited here!!!
