Dust It Off Sunday Neighbor's Wedding Card

Happy Sunday! I thought today I would show you the Wedding Card I made for our good friends and neighbor who married last night. Now I am scheduling this card, and haven't actually attended the wedding yet... so I'll report how gorgeous it is during the week :0)

Now I didn't dust anything off for this card, well maybe the pattern paper, as this is one of my gorgeous Websters Pages paper that I have hoarded and didn't want to cut into. But this was a special card.

My image is a digital from Mo's Digital Pencil, called Married. I TOTALLY fell in love with this image as soon as I saw it, this image is perfect for the new bride and groom. Very fun! I colored with my Copics - and then highlighted the dress with smooches.

The die cut word Forever and the together stamp is from Papertrey Ink - Great new set! Love those die cut words! Hope they add more words in the future. hint hint.....

I did the inside too... heck I cut into the paper why not use more of it right?

Why is it when I am making a "special" card like this I totally stress? I worked on this one all week. Then at the last minute just flew with it, and got it done. LOL Guess pressure is just how to get me to get things done sometimes huh?

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday! I think we are meeting up with my buddy Tracey and her hubby for a movie and late lunch! Haven't done that in forever... hope the movie is good! We are leaning towards seeing Pirates of the Caribbean -

A Spoon Full of Sugar - With Wings!

Hello to Tuesday! And for me that is A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge - I find it so funny that my weeks rotate by my blog schedule, LOL I know the days of the week by what my challenge or post is to be that day! HA! Today is Spoon day, and the theme this week is Things with Wings. If it has wings it qualifies!

For me, the very first image I thought of was Stampavie's, Mo Manning - Fairy KiKi - Them are some wings baby!
Kiki is colored with my Copics and then shaded with pencils. And of course those gorgeous wings are coated with Diamond Stickles!

For my card I used Tilda pattern papers, with a cream colored and a hot pink card stock. I sewed the layers together and added a My Favorite Things Doily die cut, a Pink dotted satin ribbon, and lots of mulberry roses. The sentiment is from Oh My Crafts. Love that I just pop them out and stick them down!

This card really came together pretty fast, I love when I don't sit and stare at my card forever. LOL this doesn't happen often that it just works out!

Now pop over to A Spoon Full of Sugar and see all the wings the DT worked with, then join us!

Hope you have a wonderful Day ;0)

Spoon Full of Sugar - A Sketch with Mummu -

Hello - Spoon Full of Sugar challenge today and it is a wonderful sketch. And for me I pulled out Mummu's bike - the moment I saw this image I loved it. I just think they are so fun and full of life.
My image is colored with Copics and then shaded with pencils.

My card really goes a vintage route. I just got in some new papers from GCD - they are just so gorgeous, do you love that rose paper or what? I worked really hard to get them into the card with the sketch and still be able to see them. The doily is from Papertrey ink, I used a piece of the GCD pattern paper, and then inked it to shabby it up. Of course I had to use mulberry roses for embellishment. The sentiment is from Papertrey ink as well.

This is one card I really liked when I finished it. Is it the sketch, the image, the papers, the flowers? Maybe it is just all wrapped up.. I wish I had a red bike, I may just braid up my hair and go for a ride. ( It is probably a very good thing I don't have a red bike!!! LOL)

Now pop on over and see the other DT cards at Spoon Full of Sugar, then join us!

Have a great Tuesday - me, I am still watching over Iris - and working around the house today. May have to hop over to the post office for a box that is due to arrive :0)

Dust It Off Sunday - Mo's Saturday's Child - My Mom's card :0)

Happy Mother's Day :0) - For this Sunday's Dust It Off Sunday project, I dusted off one of my digital images and some scrap pattern papers! This project is my Mom's Mother's Day card and part of her gift. I know ... I made the same coffee cup as I did on Friday - but hey.. My Mom's gift is a case of her favorite K-Cups Coffee ... LOL so it was fitting right?

You might see that I still have goats on my mind with my image - This is one of Mo Manning's Digital images, called Saturday's Child. When Mo did this image I totally went nuts for it. I love it. It was perfect to use with the Graphic 45 pattern paper I had in my scrap box. It was a just barely large enough to make the card and then cup.. whew...
This was also a great card to use my Papertrey ink Doily die. Love that die! And they make a punch out tool to help get all of those little piece to pop out easily.

The cup is made with a tutorial from Score Pal. Fun easy pattern. I again used the Martha Stewart border punch for some lacy detail. Then bunches of red rhinestones :0) My mom will like the bling I am sure. And at the handle four deep red roses.

I did the inside as well with a wonderful poem I found online.

Here is a close up of the image... don't you love it?
I colored with my Copics and then shaded with my pencils. (colors listed below)

Have a great Mother's Day and/or Sunday - We are doing our normal Sunday breakfast with the locals at the country cafe - but later we are doing lunch out with MIL, My Mom and her husband, and my Sister and all of her family. Yep... will have to be a big table :0)

Stampavie's - Mo Manning Fairy Kiki

How cute is this image?
Another New Stampavie CHA image - by Mo Manning - I needed a baby card for a friend, and this image just seemed perfect! I had some fun coloring "Fairy Kiki" with my new AQUAMARKERS from Letraset - I know I have said it before... but I am loving these markers! The vibrant color is just stunning! Now this image really didn't require a lot of ink... :0)
For the card I went with an Easel card - Love making these type of cards, and they are fun to see sitting up on display aren't they?

Went with DCWV Nanna's Kids again - and for my normal I went with the boys stack in greens and purples, but I think it is still perfect for a little girls card. Just love this color combo! Sewed all the layers down, and cut the image and matting with Nesties Lacey Circles. Then I added LOTS of light green rhinestones around the edges. A satin ribbon ties everything off -
The base is the same papers, layered and then with the cream card stock center I stamped a Stampin Up Welcome Baby stamp - I very lightly colored in this image, I didn't want it to pop as much as the image - just subtle coloring. Large green rhinestones across the top for the easel to rest against.

Now I just need to meet up with new Mom and new Baby to give it to them! hope I can do that soon.. been dying to see this little one! Hope they like my card -

I have been working at my desk trying new things - I am not sure if I am liking it or not, but you know I am having a lot of fun trying new things, new products and a new style... may not look to great - but I am learning and enjoying it and that is what part of all this hobby is right? I might get brave and show this all off real soon :0)

Don't forget my Blog Candy going on ... link is at the top of my sidebar!
HUGS and have a wonderful day!

Stampavie Sneak Peaks! Mo Manning!

Today I thought I would share a couple of my cards I made for Stampavie's CHA 2011 Booth. These are both Mo Manning images, and just too fun!

First up is one of my Favorites from the new releases - Baby Fairy Flora - Gorgeous!
For some reason I just adore the DCWV Nana's Nursery for baby cards - especially the boys collection with that purple and green. I have sewed down all they layers of pattern papers and then used Copics to color the fun little fairy baby! She is matted with the Spellbinders Beaded Circle Nestie.

A few Mulberry roses, Martha Stewart Frond leaf punches and stickles on the wings complete my card -

The second card is perfect for any Graduate in your life.. CAT GRAD!
I wanted to keep this card simple and to the point.. So just a few layers of card stock, a scrap of some graduation pattern paper is all I needed. The "Cat Grad" is colored with my Copics and matted with Spellbinders Lacey Square Nestie. Seriously how fun is this for any graduate? I started to add a computer generated sentiment of "Catgradulations"... LOL I think I will when I make this for the person I have in mind... HA!

Hope you enjoyed my sneaks.. see you tomorrow!

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge! Christmas for Someone Special!

Making Christmas Cards for Someone special - that is the challenge for this week at Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge! I really was having a hard time trying to figure out what I was going to do. I didn't have any really Christmas images "yet" from Mo - Then I remembered Siku and Shiya... and thought hmmm they might make a cute Christmas card. I think they are really cute, rubbing noses and all - OH and this image is now available as a stamp from Stampavie! (Mo had 10 images that are now available... check them out here)

I colored them up with my copics, then used Stickles Lace for the snow, and Stickles Diamond for their fur - really has some bling to this one!

For the rest of the card I used a light blue card stock as the base and the mats. Then I used the Polar collection paper, that I cannot find a maker on to save myself!! Driving me nuts not knowing the maker... LOL If you know shout out and please let me know :0)

I rounded the corners of everything and sewed down all the pieces with a pretty shimmering ice blue thread. A sheer ribbon with a bow for a band across the bottom and then the sentiment is computer generated. I thought "Christmas Kisses" was perfect for a card for someone special -  I had a lot of fun doing this one!

Now you should join us and work up a special card too... Visit the challenge blog HERE to see all the other DT's wonderful cards -

Me.. gotta run this morning, I am suppose to take MIL shopping and run some errands, then I want to get home early before it gets much colder and the weather turns nasty..... I am hoping for time for Micheal's in there... gotta see if any more new punches have come in.. LOL

Mummu's Dancing!

This image was a have to for me. She looks just like Hubby's Grandmother! Everyone of MO's Digital Pencil Mummu's remind me so much of her... and when I showed them to Hubby it was the very first thing he said. I had a hard time deciding which to use first Mummu on the bicycle or her dancing - I decided the dancing -

Isn't she gorgeous?

I colored with my copics and then inked the edges. My pattern papers are from Prima - I found three patterns and inked the edges. They were all sewed together. A piece of brown ribbon for the corner, then a mulberry rose and Martha Stewart branch punches. The sentiment is from Hampton Art - and is PERFECT for Mummu! Hope you enjoy her as much as I do - and make sure to visit Mo's Digital Pencil to see all of her fabulous images, including Mummu!

We are running errands this morning - getting some of the paint for my room :0)... not totally ready for it yet, but we have decided to paint the ceiling before we bring the flooring in and open the doorway into the house.. saving Libbie as long as we can... don't want her little rear end skirt in wet paint! LOL Then tonight we pick my Sister's family up from the airport - their Disney adventure is all over.. but it sounds like they have had a great time.

Hope you have a wonderful Thursday... HUGS and-

End of Summer... love this image -

This was the first image I fell in love with a MO's Digital Pencil. I really don't know why other than maybe I have really been looking so forward to the End of Summer.. LOL no seriously - I think it is the wind - I love her hair blowing in the wind and all of the flowers. Just a peaceful image. OH and this image is a digital at Mo's site but it will be released from Stampavie this November as a clear stamp!! Cool huh!

I have colored with my Copics -

For the card I used My Minds Eye Gypsies Baby collection on a turquoise blue Core'dinations card stock. On one side of the image I used the EK Success border punch on scrap white card stock. I ran a dark pink gingham ribbon thru the other side and wrapped around the card. Everything is sewed down. Then Mulberry flowers and Martha branch punches are added to the corner. A simple card - but the image is so wonderful I really wanted it to be the main focus and pop.

Wow it is Wednesday already... My sister's family vacation at Disney World is over today... just one last day of fun... hope they are having fun. I have gotten a few photos on my camera.... they look like they are :0)

Have a great day -

MO's DIGITAL PENCIL'S CHALLENGE!

Hello again! Sorry for two post today... but I had two DT projects come up in one day :0) My exciting news that I mentioned earlier??? I was asked to join Mo's Digital Pencil's Challenge Design Team!!!!! I am SO excited! I have been seeing Mo's work all over the web - then I got the FABULOUS news that some of MO's favorite images will be coming to Stampavie this November as stamps! And then I just couldn't stand it anymore - the drooling over her store and out the window went my no spending freeze! :0) I had to get a few! And even before I had a chance to print and color I found out that Mo's was having a DT call... so I sent in some of my other cards - just to put my name in the hat..... could not believe my eyes when I got that wonderful email asking to join the challenge DT!!!! So today is day one! A sort of warm up challenge just to get us all going - I started to color up one of my new purchased images.. and then MO sent us this wonderful image... the header of our challenge! Bronte and Bella - I just love this! Too cute - the challenge for #1 is to use Purple Bronte and Bella's favorite color :0) Well it happens to be one of my favorite colors as well, so I was on board right away. I colored up the image with my Copics... making sure she was dressed in lots of purple! And would you love some purple boots?? I know I would! Man... too cool -
Then I went on to the card - I found some scraps of green gingham paper (no name, sorry using up scraps LoL) And then found this gorgeous dark purple dot paper from Papertrey Ink - I matted the image with the green - then some white card stock that I punched the edges with the Martha Stewart loop border punch top and bottom. I then punched the the sides with the Stampin Up slit punch and ran a purple satin ribbon through them. I tied a bow and placed it on the corner... then I went through all of my sentiment stamps - nothing seemed right, then I remembered I had just gotten a couple of new cartridges for my slice. I ran across the word "Therapy"... I went right past it, then went back. We all say that our hobby is our own therapy - I know it keeps me sane - well as sane as I can be :0) I cut the word on my MM Slice out of DCWV Nanna's boy Nursery purple dotted paper, and then cut a shadow out of white card stock, and stitched the edges with purple pen. Two flowers are punched from EK Success retro punches, jewelry spacer - mini brad and Martha frond punched leaves complete my card.

Now you just have to go and see MO's New Digital Pencil challenge site - meet all the new DT members and join in our fun! And you know MO... she will have lots of great prizes! I still am pinching myself.. I can't believe it is me on that DT list :0) And if you haven't visited MO's store... you just HAVE TO!!!! holy cow... I just go nuts there! AWESOME images! Go see for yourself HERE... but warning - I dare you to leave there without a long list of images you want!

Thanks for visiting me today.. and my two post :0) - today I am out helping hubby with my craft room addition! Despite all the "stress" yesterday..we got the ceiling up! Whew! And now today we put the ceiling trim up and then start on the sheet rock walls. It is really starting to be real! Soon we will knock through the wall and join the house. We haven't done this yet, as we wanted to keep Libbie and Gato out - and well the mess. But hopefully soon it will really be a part of the house... :0) I just can't stand it.. MY OWN CRAFT ROOM! not a corner of the bedroom... ok reality.. the crafts will move to its own room and I will have a bedroom again as I have pretty much taken it over and spilled out of my corner and all along the walls, just allowing a path to the bed and closet. Well I better get out there and help so it moves quicker!

HUGS and have a wonderful TUESDAY!

Have you heard the news?????

Seriously... Have you heard?? Stampavie has two new artist! AGAIN! A couple of weeks ago it was announced that Penny Johnson was joining the artist line up, and then this week it was announced that Mo Manning was also adding to the collection of unbelievable artist! Mo has a very popular digital art site - Digital Pencil, really wonderful stuff - and now Stampavie will be releasing 10 of her favorite images as stamps! I am soooo excited! He stuff is just so fun and different. Here is one of the images that will be released the end of November -

This is "Sumpins wrong" I fell in love with this one as soon as I saw it! Just too darn cute!!

I colored him with my Copics - then I went to work on a card....
I was having so much fun with the image, I pulled out one of my all time favorite collections DCWV Nanna's Nursery Boys. Perfect colors and sparkle! A white card stock as a base, then I picked out four patterns from the collection of papers. I created a band across the bottom with my EK Success zig zag border punch. I sewed everything with a pretty sparkling thread and my sewing machine and lots of different stitches. I found six buttons that matched well, tied them with white heavy thread. Then went to find a sentiment. Ok now how funny and perfect was that one! "What'z UP?", got it on clearance at Hobby Lobby a few months back, and it is from Stampabilities. So what do you think of the new image? NOW run over and see all of the fun images that are coming HERE from Mo Manning and HERE from Penny Johnson!!

Me.. I am moving slow this morning - a horrible sinus headache! getting worse by the minute - so I am going to eat breakfast and find some medicine. Then maybe I can do some blog hopping later in the morning. Have a wonderful Thursday!
