Promotional Post...Imagine That's Latest New Releases

http://www.imaginethatdigistamp.com/index.html
Have you been to the Imagine That blog or store lately?  Well, if not, you are missing out on some fabulous new images.  If fact there are also a few free papers that Kris has so generously shared.  One is a beautiful floral paper that she designed awhile back to go with her "Poppy" and "Queen Anne's Lace" digi sets seen below.

To see and download the lovely coordinating paper for free, click HERE.

Then Kris also created a set of three pretty papers that correspond with a recent digi release from McMahon Five Designs who release free Breast Cancer Awareness digis on the 25th of each month.  Below is a preview of the three papers Kris is offering up, completely for free!  Clicking on the preview will take you to the post where you can read more about one of the Imagine That's team members who has undergone her own struggle with cancer.  You'll also see a lovely card that Kris created using one of these papers and the McMahon Five Designs image preview as well.

Card Design: San's Design August New Release Preview

Hello everyone!  There is a great new release coming out tomorrow over at San's Design but I just couldn't wait to show you what I created. Here is the watermark of the fabulous new image I used in my card.

This is such a sweet little image.  I have a young cousin who is about to turn five years old in just a few weeks and when I saw this digi as part of the new release package, I just knew I had to use it!  Here is the card I made for her...

FRONT
Digital Images:
  • Girl on swing:  I have coloured her in using Copic markers.  Y11, Y13 and Y15 for her hair.  E000, E00, E02, and R20 for her skin.  B00 for her eyes.  Then for her clothing and shoes I used YR000, YR00, and YR02.  For the tire I used C3, C5, and C7.
  • Here is a closer look at this precious young lady...
  • The sky and clouds were created using a pattern from Webtreats, Etc.
  • The tree is an image I picked up over at 123RF. The artist who created this image is Sergey Chernov.
  • The grass is also an image picked up at the same site.  This time the artist's name is chainat.
  • Both images have been used in accordance with the terms set forth at 123RF.
Digital Sentiment:
  • The digital sentiment I used on the front is also by San and you can find it as part of the English Birthday set.  Clicking on the watermark below will take you to its location in the store.  I just added my cousin's name to the centre before printing.
 Embellishments:
  • The green 1/2 pearls I used are Crafts brand from Dollarama.
INSIDE
Digital Sentiment:
  • I fussy cut a second of the same digital sentiment I used on the front and added it to the inside for an extra personalized touch.
  • The sentiment on the right is one I created.  Here is a closer look so you can read what it says (yes I do have a thing for puns.  While the five year old won't get it, her parents certainly will)...

OVERALL
Paper Products:
  • Card base: Michael's Recollection's Cardstock, ivory.
  • Designer Papers:  I am really pleased to say that all of the designer papers used to create this project were created by ME!  Anyone who saw my Wonderful Wednesday post this week (which you can find by clicking HERE) might recognize this paper, as I used it in my creations.  The polka dotted paper was created especially for a reader who won a digital paper of her choice, on my blog.  The design of the dotted paper and colour choices were made by the winner and I just put it all together for her.  For this project I decided to create two accompanying papers, one in green-apple and the other in peach to match the coloured dots.  So, now I have a new 4 piece mini-pack of papers (because I decided to create a solid yellow one at the same time) to add to my store once I figure out where, what, who, and how that store is going to come into existence.
  • Here is a little sneak peek of that paper pack...
(if you want a better view, left click it to bring it up in the lightbox.)

The watermarked image I used in my project from San's Designs will be available on Saturday when the new releases come out. If you are interested in the birthday set, you can get that now.

I am so glad you have had the chance to stop by and check out my latest creation.  Please join me Saturday to find out the other sweet images coming available.  You don't want to miss it.

Card Design: San's Design New Release Preview Two

Hello Everyone!  It is almost time for the second part of the June new releases which will be coming out tomorrow over at Sans Design.

This time I have worked with a wonderful new image of a young girl.  I don't often work with strictly people.  I've done people with poses or something else going on in the image but I don't know that I have ever just done a profile kind of pic; so, it was time I branch out and try it.  I'm so glad I did.

Here is the watermark of the image I used.  You will be able to get your hands on it Saturday...

SN00183 - Sweetheart
Here are the card and details.  I hope that I haven't forgotten anything...

 FRONT

 Digital Images:
  • Sweetheart:  I coloured this image mostly with Copics using E000, E00, E02 & R20 for her skin; E31, E33, E39 for her hair; and, B93 for her eyes, barrette and shading on Sweetheart's top.
  • The actual top she is wearing was paper pieced using the Bloom Kit designed by Rachel Dickson from ComputerScrapbook.com.  The background paper is the same as the one I used for the top.  The frame around this young maiden and the buttons are also from this same Bloom kit.  I fussy cut the buttons out and added some cross stitch thread to give them a bit of dimension.

INSIDE

 Digital Images:
  • The background paper used on the inside and the buttons are, of course, from the Bloom kit as well.
Digital Sentiment:
  • I thought that this was the perfect sentiment for the expression on the young girl's face.  The sentiment is another great freebie I picked up over at Create With TLC.  Click HERE to go to Paulette's blog and HERE to go to the store.

OVERALL

Paper Products:
  • Card base: Michael's Recollection's Cardstock, white.
  • Designer Paper:  Both the strip of blue on the front and used as a shadow inside, along with the strip of multi-colour flecked white are both Michael's open stock scrapbook paper.  I used a punch to achieve the edging effect on the white one.
Challenges I hope to enter include:
Some more challenges may be added to this list later this week and/or month.

I am so glad you have had the chance to stop by and check out my latest creation.  Don't forget to stop by tomorrow when I will present the remaining new releases.

DT Post: San's Design New Release Preview

Hello Everyone!  This weekend there will be a new release over at Sans Design.

Of course, all of us on the team got to see and play with some of the new releases ahead of time.  I've worked with the fabulous new image called "Bunting " which you will be able to get your hands on this coming weekend.

Actually, I managed to combine a few different images from San in creating my card.  I've used several elements from San's Purple and Dots Digital Scrapbooking Kit which you can find in the store HERE or by clicking on the watermark below.  The set includes seven papers, an alphabet (including å, ä and ö), and twenty elements.

Finally, I have also used one of the sentiments from the English birthday set which you can find in the store by clicking HERE or on the watermark below.

Here are the card details.  I hope that I haven't forgotten anything...

 FRONT

General Information:
  • While this project may look deceptively clean and simple, I spent a significant amount of time doing some digital paper piecing (DPP).
    • Banner:  I brought the banner into Photoshop Essentials 5 (PE5).  Right from the first time I saw it, I knew I wanted to do some DPP.  It then hit me that I should use elements from the purple kit in order to create a unique banner.  I used one of the papers from the kit, then added one of the flowers and one of the embellishments to act as the floral centre.  Next I played around with the placement of the flowers and ended up with purple floral banner you see above.
    • Birthday Sentiment:  I brought the butterfly birthday sentiment into PE5.  I used the same purple paper and paper pieced part of the wings, then used another of the papers, the black with white polka dot one from the kit, and paper pieced the body and the remaining areas of the wings.
    • I then brought both these new elements into Publisher and placed them so that they would print out as the front of my card.
INSIDE

General Information:
  • I printed out some of the same purple paper from the kit to use as a background for the quote which is another great one I got as a freebie from Create With TLC.  Click HERE to go to Paulette's blog and HERE to go to the store.  I took the quote into PE5 to recolour the word 'celebrate' to match the paper.
  • I fussycut a second butterfly and curled up the wings a bit to give it some dimension before affixing it to the inside.
  • I used a candle shaped punch for the edge.  While neither picture shows it, this edge actually hangs over so that when the card is closed, you see the candles on the right.

OVERALL

Paper Products:
  • Card base: Michael's Recollection's Cardstock, white.
Challenges I hope to enter include:
Some more challenges may be added to this list later this week and/or month.

I am so glad you have had the chance to stop by and check out my latest creation.  Don't forget to stop by on Saturday when I will present the other four new releases.
